Good luck getting someone to show up to help get something out of the jewelry counter. Anything really for that matter. Fine, then, I'll just take my money elsewhere. You can put my stuff away too. Seems profitable huh?Update: 5-10-24, Try getting printer ink and not being ignored. I dare you. Not sure if this place will ever improve.Another $100+ sale walked out the door. Good job.

Love going to New Ulm, MN Walmart. 95% of the time, they have what I need and are very good with substituted items. We do a lot of online ordering.

So I definitely will not be returning, even though my company is less than 2 miles away. I was in self checkout and the worker came up to me and made a big show in front of everyone about some goli apple cidar vinegar gummies, stating that I needed to carded to buy them. The real reason, which I hate to say, is because I am a black man. Then as i was leaving, instead of leaving the buggy anywhere, I took it back. The guy who was gathering the buggies met me, and said, "you know who I miss?" "George Floydd," I'm like, Jesus help me at this point. So I tell him, hey, I'm a man just like you are. A conversation doesn't have to go to "that" just to be polite. And he said, "that's a great freedom for you. " Jesus H Christ.

I was getting, tires installed, so I went to the Pharmacy, got a vaccine I felt was a good thing, not available at a couple of other places, not flu or covid. Professional,well trained Staff, then a bit of stuff I bought. Clean, store, ez to navigate.

Check outs had lines.... again. There was a back up even at self checkout. It's the one major drawback to the New Ulm store. The wait is long. And I never heard the wait being addressed to get more checkers and more lines being opened up by management. Lucky for them New Ulm has no other options. Living east of town and with the store on the west side. Just as quick to drive to Mankato with the new Highway 14.

Love the variety of items you can get, with the different Departments they have. Customer interaction needs to improve. My son and I were in the electronics Dept. looking for an associate to just help us get a game out of the case. I'm handicapped and use a cane, because of 6 knee surgeries, etc. and when we saw one, he was busy with another customer and didn't acknowledge anyone else. We stood patiently, as I knew he was busy, but it was taking a LONG time, and I can't stand that long. He didn't even acknowledge us, so we went back up to the front to see if someone could get us some help. I had to interrupt a conversation between employees to do it, but got Jasmine and she was very apologetic and helped. Thank you Jasmine. It happens a LOT where I spend forever trying to find an associate for help🤦😥

Can't find anything with aisles going every direction. Seems like NO organization. Checkout is an absolute nightmare. Only 2 narrow aisles to get at over 20 checkouts most of which are self checkout.

The automotive center got oil all over my interior and left a stain after an oil change. Sergio was cool tho shout out to him and the dude he had with him for at least trying to get it out. Also the parking lot sucks

Clean, organized. Staff could be more up to speed on where items are located. The Walmart app isn't so great on where items are as well. Parking lot in desperate need of quality repairs. Try to pull through when you park, it's easier to get out.

Best Walmart in MN hands down. Phenomenal customer service, clearance and store organization. Carries a huge variety of grocery sku's, apparel for the entire family and general merchandise. My two favorite components of shopping at New Ulm Walmart are the handy key machine at the front entrance and an amazing cashier from the self checkout area (I don't have her name but she works every morning/day except Tuesday and Saturday). We all adore this particular gal!

Clean store with most areas neat for easy access to find items. The only aisle that needs improving is the clearance isle. Messy and some items missing prices.One other issue is the price you see on the shelf, doesn't match the price at the register. The register charges more so keep an eye on that. I had 5 out of 11 items in one shopping trip that had incorrect prices. One item charged me $5 more than what was listed on shelf so had to wait for staff to check. I mentioned the frustration to a staff member and he said "they change prices on the shelves before getting the price changed in the register, which happens a lot. "Personally, I think it should be the other way around. I'd rather be surprised and happy to get my items cheaper at the register than to watch pricing and be frustrated because the register over charged me. This doesn't give off a good impression for this location. However, I still gave 5 stars for cleanliness and friendly staff and stocked shelves.

I love the Walmart in New Ulm!! The parking is easy, they actually water their plants, and the employees are very helpful and friendly. I will travel out of my way to go to New Ulm.

They need to fix the parking lot. I hit multiple pot holes so deep that I had to get my alignment fixed. They also need to turn down the music. We have to shout to hear each other when walking into the store.

The parking lot is FULL of HUGE potholes, so beware! Still not enough staffing and I over heard an employ tell someone it's only going to get worse come July. This store is the reason we lost our Target in town and now they can't even provide for us well. Come on Walmart, take care of New Ulm!

I never find cilantro because I go to late and it doesn't get stocked back up until the morning so I have to try better to get there first thing in the morning when they open for cilantro which is kinda ridiculous but oh well

Produce area did not look fresh or restocked. Garden Center doors were closed again. Why don't you just take those doors out. A lot of merchandise was laying on the floor throughout the store. If they will not fix the parking lot, I will not shop there.

There was a worker with brown short hair, and glasses. She dared to assume we were messing around and STEALING something. And we were at the ages of 15+ we went there to play games then we went to the gaming section checked it out and jogged to get water cause our buddy had to go. She started pushing my buddy to and she had no right to, and threatened to call my parents if parents were called it would’ve been worse for her. Unbelievable. Ah Erin might be her name. Just for future notices parents and kids.

Not to keen on the self serve checkout. It was nice when they had cashier's to help you do the checkout. If I have to do my own checkout they should pay us to do there job. Make the customers do the cashier's job. They actually had more cashier's on more check out,s. It was nice to not have to check myself out.
