Called to ask about fence posts , told the lady what I was looking for and was told that the store did carry the style I was looking for. Drove to store to be told you only carried Farm style posts not the round steel posts I had asked about. No.big deal but I should have known clueless when I heard it on the phone.

This store is reliably friendly with knowledgeable staff. I have always been treated well here. I also like that they are dog freindly if you have a leashed, well behaved dog.

Runnings is a great place to buy gifts for that person impossible to shop for. Carrying brands such as Milwaukee Tool, Yeti, Pepsi and hundreds of others; it's easy to find everything you need in a one stop shopping trip. My experiences with finding help while shopping departments has varied. Excellent garden center and I believe they even offer a small motors/ lawn mower repair shop. Best selection of name brand cold weather gear in town!

I came in for shims and checked out boots and came back a few days later only to see they were on sale almost 30 dollars off from where I was going to buy so I am glad I waited!

New Ulm is lucky to have this place that stocks all the best brands of the good things. Great staff here too, always helpful. I went there 3 times last Saturday so they do take too much of my $$.

Oh my goodness, you could not ask for better customer service. I am so ignorant with lawn care. The current lawn care provider has over fertilized my lawn and generically does their service without looking at the lawn. They have destroyed it with their generic services. Runnings has services that helps you find what what you need personally in New Ulm, MN. Local is BEST!!

Was very grateful for the helpful staff tonight when I stopped in to pick up grain. I just had knee surgery on Wednesday so I am moving around pretty slow. A very nice gentleman that works there was kind enough to load all 5 bags on a cart for me and push it up front to the check-out. You will always have my business. 🙂

Staff are VERY RUDE! I will not be returning went to store to grab one item that I needed would of been in and out some lady was standing at the door when we walked in and very rudely said "we are closing in 30 min" I said I'm just grabbing one item I know right where it is than she replied "well you better make it quick we are closing!" I said fine I will take my business elsewhere to which her reply was "good for you". Really smart thing to say to someone who did spend 1,000+ dollars in your store a month and won't be spending another penny there!

There's a large variety of products so that's great, but it's mostly the same brands you can get elsewhere for cheaper. Employees seem reluctantly helpful. The worst part for me as a mother of small children is that there's candy everywhere. I guess since that's not a large portion of their customer base, it's not something they're terribly concious of. It's an average store catering more to middle aged men.

I am writing to express my appreciation for the New Ulm Runnings power sales and repair shop. I have purchased power equipment from this store and have had repair work done in the shop. I have always received excellent service and information for the equipment I use. Recently, I dropped my leaf blower as I was removing it from the shelve where I store it. The shelf is six feet above the shop floor. At impact with the cement floor, the door over the vacuum function snapped off breaking the closure mechanism. The blower has always started easily but not this time. I called the power shop and spoke with Paul Stueber, explaining the circumstance. He suggested the kill switch under the vac door. That was it. The blower runs perfectly again. Paul has advised repairs for me before and has always been right-on. Thanks Paul.

Ample, close in parking. Store is clean and fully stocked with several employees always on duty to assist with finding items. Most have a general level of product knowledge for answering questions, but can quickly find expert help if necessary. Vastly better shopping experience than a Menards-type store.
