Not sure if the guy helping us out was the owner, I should have asked, but he was super friendly. He really made a great first impression of the place, joking with my kids, and suggesting a couple of choices.We picked up a half dozen donuts and they definitely didn't disappoint.It's a good and a bad thing we don't live close, because I'd be here all the time to support the shop...but then my doctor would probably hate me for it too.These donuts should be illegal for how good they are!I'll be back next time I'm in town for sure.

A seasonal bakery that offers amazing donuts and other bakery items. My favorites are the glazed croissants and the coconut rolls, although everything I’ve had has been wonderful. I usually get a half dozen and the donuts are still tasty the next day. Their cookies and rolls are also fantastic. I haven’t had an opportunity to try the pies, but they look delightful. It’s a community staple that I try visit weekly during their open season. The owners are usually working and so friendly - they really make each visit special. Pay with cash if you can to help them avoid the processing fees, but they do accept credit cards.

Great place, super friendly and helpful staff! Went in on a Saturday while getting a snack for my sister's volleyball game, and as they'd be closed the following day (Sunday), they threw in a few free items that would be otherwise thrown away. So 5 stars not only because they're a local small business with great products, but because they seem generous to a fault :)

Best English Muffin bread EVER! Old family recipe donuts are the real deal! Specialty Kuchen's are the best this side of the pond. Get there early...or you might get disappointed... but then again you may just find a new favorite!

Sold out of all but a few scattered items by 11:30-- just goes to show what a gem this place is! Our favorites are the doughnuts (light and delicious!) and the English muffin loaf bread (so chewy-- perfect toasted!). Arguably offering the best bakery items in northern MN.

This was our first visit to Nevis. Very nice small town. We have always wanted to find a bakery that has delicious donuts, breads, cookies . We purchased some donuts and sourdough bread. The best we have ever had. English muffin bread tomorrow.

Delicious doughnuts every day. If you happen to be there on a Thursday, you must try the Old Fashioned Sour Cream doughnuts... They are awesome! The owner is very friendly, too, making Chops and Pops the perfect bakery.

This is the best bakery I’ve ever been to. Incredibly well-crafted baked goods, super friendly and personable service, and family owned and operated. Would give 6 stars if I could. Do you and your tastebuds a favor by going to Chop n Pops.

This is a very excellent bakery . There doughnuts are amazing . Bought a dozen of doughnuts to bring to my work they were gone by the end of the day ( there was only 4 people working )

I'd never been to Nevis, but I can tell you it ain't a metropolis. Naturally, I expected sort of standard fare from the local bakery... Man, I was way wrong. The Kuchen alone is worth the journey, but even the old standbys like blueberry bismarks were light and fresh...

I'm skeptical of small town coffee, but overheard the owner telling someone that it was "Sumatran blend, roasted two days ago." OMG it was great! Also... "That chocolate doughnut was exceptional" -my doughnut critic partner.

I googled Bakery in Nevis and this one came up and said they were open. When the person I referred there got there it said "Closed until March". We were both very disappointed. If you are going to be closed, you really should update your Google page and your website

5 Star definitely. Call in your order or be there early. They sell out of doughnuts daily in tourist season.
