We have a Scheels in our city, and we enjoy it. I've been to several elsewhere, but I'd never been to this curious location I'd heard about that's a combination hardware/home decor/clothing store.We quickly found ourselves looking at decor and art, and found a framed print for our home. We took our time and wandered around the store, and eventually also found a unique grill grate scrubber for the backyard Weber.The staff members were friendly and helpful, as you'd expect at Scheels.

Very friendly and helpful staff!! Even if your not there to buy something at that time. A lot of the things here are very expensive so it's sometimes hard to walk in and justify spending $150 on a jacket you might wear every other week. Well the staff understands this and they don't get pushy or rude knowing that you might not spend your money at that point in time. And like there other stores they seem to have more employees then most other stores. So that's nice in case you have any questions. Plus it feels like their employees are familiar with most of their products

The staff is always incredibly friendly, and the store is always super clean.I will always go here for my gym clothing needs as well as my bike repair needs.I went in there tonight within an hour of closing, and the gentleman behind the bike counter was more than friendly and got my bike repaired in a matter of minutes. I believe his name was Sam. Thank you!Update (8/1/2023): Another fantastic experience at this place. Everybody here is always so upbeat, willing to help you, and just pleasant. The gentleman who helped me buy a new pair of shoes tonight never hesitated to grab me additional pairs to try on and just had the best attitude. The cashier who checked us out was also incredibly kind, genuine, and just pleasant to talk to. I absolutely love this place, and will definitely be back many times over. Thank you!

Great clothing selection, light sport like snow shoes, basketball, bikes, baseball etc. no fishing or shooting sections. Friendly staff.

Went in tonight with our 3 and 5 year old to buy jackets for winter. Our youngest was not cooperative and Tim stepped right in and was patient and helpful in getting him to try the jacket on. He made sure the jackets fit properly then gave some great insight on different options for gloves and made sure they fit as well. He then brought everything to the front so we can continue to shop. and brought suckers back for the kids with our permission. Once we checked out, the cashiers were very engaging with the kids and in the end also honored North Faces military discount. Great experience.

We went here to get a bike for my 3 year old. The staff was awesome! They measured him, let him try different bikes, and were extremely helpful!

The best place to get anything you need weather it be hunting, fishing, or clothing. Their return policy is amazing and the sales people are always very knowledgeable. Won't go anywhere but here for my sporting goods needs.

Good people. Bad bike service. Thought they could pull the old front back tire tube switcheroo on someone who personally changed his front tire and remembers the tube. Yeah nice try. Never want to go there again. Please die. Or be better in service. Good people though. Good people.

We were shopping for winter boots. My wife saw a Facebook feed, that showed sorel books at 25 % off. I love going to the big Scheels once in a while, but not on the busy weekend of black Friday. So we went to the moorhead store. It's smaller but nicely stocked. The parking is convenient and close. The friendly and VERY helpful. There was no wandering around looking for help. The employees were the ones wandering around looking for people to help. I hadn't been to this store for quite a while, and we were glad we tried it again. It's a must shopping stop.

I enjoy the Moorhead store. Less crowded hands down besides the tax free option. Otherwise not so much. I always feel pressured or bothered while trying to shop at the Moorhead location. The Moorhead location literally has less than 1/4 of the inventory that the Fargo location has. Cut back on employees and focus on your sales/customer service.

Scheels is a great store with great products. Scheels has an amazing return policy, I have never had an issue returning something. I once returned some work boots that I had worn for a few weeks and they already had tore at the seams, Scheels gave me a refund and I bought a different brand. It was completely hassle free and made me so happy. They are an awesome place to buy all of your sporting needs as well as guns and ammunition.

You guys win for best scheels in the area. Thanks for helping. I forget who helped us that day but guy was nice and tried to accommodate us while dealing with rush of other people near closing. Smaller selection but way better then the other stores for sure.

I bought an expensive new bike at a store in downtown Fargo and the gears made a bunch of grinding and clicking noises right off the bat. Brought it back and they said nothing was wrong with it.I liked the bike, so I decided to bring it to the bike department at Scheels and it rides beautifully now. Chris did an awesome job! Every gear works quietly and smoothly. Super happy. I knew Scheels does better work, but wow. Huge difference. Reasonable price too.

This scheels is NOTHING like the one in Fargo. Their customer service is severely lacking!!! I had asked a worker a question regarding some winter jackets she seemed very annoyed that I had asked her. Also saw a man ask a sales associate for help, she was leaning against a wall on her cell phone, he asked for something specific and she said I don’t think we have anymore. The guy asked her if she could at least point him in the direction of where they were stocked at the store!! Bad customer service - but some nice choices of unique clothing.

Outstanding in every way. Careful selection of employees who deliver great service (thank you Tanner in Moorhead). Products are the best and if ever a problem - it's never a problem. A true model of what all businesses should aspire to. Great community member who gives back.....so yeah, Scheels is pretty "alright, alright, alright"!!!!

About 2 years ago, I went to buy my first pair of Birkenstocks. Because the sizing is different than any other shoe I've bought, I was unsure what size to get. I ended up buying a pair that, after I wore them around a bit, realized they were too big. Since I had worn them, I didn't expect Scheels to do an exchange, but they did! I've been wearing my Birkenstocks ever since. They feel and fit great and I absolutely love them. They're my favorite shoe. Also, both times I went, the Scheels employees were extremely kind and helpful.

Service is excellent at this store , it's a smaller location than other Scheels but the people are great , from the bike mechanics to the shoe salesman, to the mannequin dresser😁. Everyone is so helpful . I could go on about why I feel this way but you should just visit 😉

Moorhead Scheels is always better at having the shoes i want in the size I need. Plus the store us less busy than yhe main store in Fargo. I have been back here several times and been lucky at finding what I need.

After calling the Moorhead Scheels, I ended up talking with Alyssa. What a gem!! Although they did not carry my size in what I was looking for, she stayed on the phone and helped me to find the company with which I could order directly!! I just do not find this kind of customer service with other companies today. I knew and worked with Fred Scheel back in the '80's and he would be proud of this lovely and helpful clerk. After returning to this area to retire, I have confidence that Scheels was a great store in the '80's and remains so today. Thank you!!!

Typical sporting goods store. This is much smaller than their other location, but still carries a fairly wide selection. The prices can sometimes be a bit higher than comparable stores. We have always had great service here. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help if I'm looking for something specific or have any questions.
