Owner expects ALL of his/her employees to be knowledgeable and able to answer questions. It's obvious the minute you walk in that you are their number one priority. When you get help finding an item, they don't leave you standing in line. They open the 2nd till and check you out as well.

I won't go back here. Spent a thousand dollars, then lied to about what they would do, called them and was lied to again, finally visited the store in person and the fellow that sold me a snow blower stood there with his mouth open, when I told him what was going on. The item was finally delivered on Tues. They back there truck up, unloaded the snow blower, got back in their truck and took off. All without a word. I wouldn't spend my enemies money there ever again.

Near my place of work, small enough to navigate, but large enough to carry what I needed. The cashier was helpful, patient, and actually funny. Although I shouldn’t be surprised because we midwesterners have great senses of humor and are nice as heck.

2024 UPDATE: Um. No. New management is clueless. Will avoid unless it's an emergency.I've been doing business here since 2004; pretty long time. In those 14 years, I've never had a bad experience. The staff knows what they're doing, they know where everything's at, and they know how to take care you of quickly, professionally -- with a smile. Perhaps most importantly, these guys know your name. Go into Lowe's sometime and see if anyone greets you like a pal. One of the best stores in the City of Moorhead.

The store is well arranged and bright for being an older building. Customer service is excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ok, maybe it isn't as cheap as "home improvement" stores, but it's rare to find the human connection + help in "big box." Hardware and more in a convenient, friendly, and nicely sized store!

The people working there are helpful. It's not cool that they don't have a public restroom to use. It makes the over all experience feel like you aren't important enough for that. I remember when they used to have coffee and d outs in the back for customers. What happened to that,?

This was my first time shopping here and it was an amazing experience. As soon as I stepped through the door, I was greeted and asked if I need help finding anything. The store is organzined in such a great fashion that I could see exactly what I wanted (Craftsman tools) from the entrance so I politely declined the assistance. After I grabbed my belt sander, I began browsing to see what else they had which I was approached again to see if I needed help with anything. It wasn't a smothering sort of "do you need help" but often enough to where if I did, I'd know someone was there. To top it all off, the cashier was phenomenal. She greeted me, asked if I found everything, explained the rewards membership when I said I am not part of it (which I signed up for after her explanation) and chatted for a moment as she rang things up. I'm glad I shopped here and will definitely go back soon.

This is the best version of a local hardware store you could imagine. They have a great selection: I had to get two very pragmatic items here that I didn't find a the chain store when I was buying drywall. And I choose to go here not just because it is closer to home, but to support a local business that deserves it!

This place will never line up to the hardware store in the small town where I grew up but that's like saying nobody's food is as good as grandma made it. They are the best hardware store in town by far very helpful friendly staff when I go in there I barely know what I'm talking about, and I'm in a hurry to get back to work to fix whatever I needed the part I'm buying there for. They help me find what I need or tell me where I need to go to get it. I love this place.

This is a good place to shop and the staff is very helpful. My only problem is that I am a rewards member and every time I try to use the $5 off coupons they send me, I can't use them because it won't apply to on sale items. So what's the point of the rewards program then?

I went in to have some keys made on a Saturday afternoon and I was helped right away. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and friendly and I got in and out with a minimum of fuss. It was such a nice change of pace from the giant where you have to send out a search party to find help.

I have always loved my local Ace Hardware, owned by a female in my hometown. However I walked into this business in the state of MN that has assured the public that businesses in MN will be safe places to shop in and I was shocked to see no employees wearing masks, no way to social distance as I checked out, no barrier between myself and the cashier!! I am so sad to say I will not be returning. Back to MACs I go with the safety of the consumer in mind and excellent customer service! Sorry Ace....so disappointed in you!

Went in to ask a question and my wonderful assistant had my issue resolved, in fact FIXED, within 5 minutes. I had spent several hours and different "fixes" on my own and wasted so much money. Not only did she fix my issue, it only cost $7.28!!

I live in west Fargo but make the drive to Moorehead to use this Ace.I used the Ace in Minnesota because they are always very helpful, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I do a lot of glass painting artwork and go there to get my customized cut-glass. They're always helpful, friendly and exact in their work. And like my Ace in Minnesota they have the personal service like a home town hardware store.I go there because you can get your questions answered and find those things big stores can't help you with. When I want to tackle a new project I go to Ace for advice and supplies. This is true of every Ace hardware I've gone to. "Ace is the placevwith your helpful hardware folks" isn't just their logo.

These guys are so soooo so helpful! Old school and dingy, but they take the time to make sure you have what you're looking for. They're always patient with questions and they always have everything I'm looking for. So very helpful and I hope this place never goes out of business.

Moorhead ace is one of the last bastions of small town hardware store left on the planet. Friendly staff that's the same familiar faces you'll get to know over time by visiting there. This place is a gem just like the neighboring dairy queen. They always have what I need, and it's great because I hate the big box stores that somehow never have what I need and always have cheap junk I don't want.

I'm visiting Fargo to fix up my mother's home. The Ace Hardware in Moorhead is so good that I will go across the river to shop and get help. I was referred by a Fargo friend that travels across the river to this Moorhead store. I want to recognize Mandy for getting 6 panes of glass cut 30 minutes before store closed.

The employees were nice and friendly to the customers they new but my family and I were treated like an inconvenience. They are also high priced. On the up side the pop corn is free. Do yourself a favor and go to macs

Disgusting and rude staff. Autumn hung up on me and Mandy the “manager” also, was discriminating against me for having a Medical condition. Both should be ashamed of themselves and will no longer support that business.
