Great shop and the employees are always friendly... except for one of them, Michael needs to work on his customer service. I waited to write this review because I figured the first few times he was just having an off day but it's consistent.I shop here often but every time Michael is the cashier he seems to have an attitude. First of all, he always requests ID before I get a chance to set my product on the counter. I don't have 3 hands...Every time I'm there, or any store, I say thank you and have a good day. Michael never responds back. He just stares at you like you're doing something wrong by speaking. At the very least say "you too" it's basic customer service man. If you're a miserable person don't try to spread that to others

A great stop if you enjoy luke warm beer! Their selection is awesome, they sell local beer that other shops don’t. The people working always know their stuff and know their stuff. I can’t tell you how disappointing it is to constantly be let down by the temperature of their coolers and fridges. The prices are generally higher than cash wise, I’ll pay that for the convenience of not having to drive across town. I buy beer to go home and drink, I’m not generally buying beer to drink days later. Every time I buy beer here, it’s never cold. If I didn’t live within a few hundred feet of this place the beer would be warm by the time I got home. Bottles or cans, it doesn’t matter, the beer is always slightly cold. Every couple of months I try to give this place another shot and it keeps letting me down.

99 bottles is a solid liquor store. They had a very good variety of beer, liquor, and wine. They offer free gift wrap for bottles which is a great touch. Light on non alcoholic options but over all a great place. We did see a dog bed inside!

Today I have to change my review. I have always enjoyed going there. But the way the manager treats the customers is not acceptable. I have a 4-year-old daughter who wants to go everywhere with Dad. And she has been going to the place with me for the last 2 years. And no one has ever had an issue. He treated my daughter like she is going to break everything in the store. And then and complaints under his breath how lucky I am that he's letting me have my daughter there. I called him out. And then he tries to say that I was there trying to ask for shots with my daughter 3 weeks ago, which has never happened. I'm gladly going to move my business to happy Harry's. I went there right after and they treated me and my daughter like family. Not like a plague to the store.

Great selection of local items and very helpful staff. They have a very large new building that has lots of room for shoppers to move around. Very clean and carry most new products also.

I called this morning to just verify they carried something. The guy was very nice and told me they did, and told me my options. I just wanted to check before driving an hour. So I drove there, and asked the guy about the seltzers I had called about. Of course, right before I showed up another customer went in and bought the last of what they had. The employee went above and beyond before I even showed up, and called other liquor stores until he found one that carried what I was driving to town for. Greatly appreciated!

Well, 7 years later, the place looks like it's going out of business. Empty shelves everywhere. I asked what was going on, ready to spend a few hundred dollars but ended up buying 2-30 packs of busch light... the guy said what are you talking about.. . Obviously, this is normal for him.

The selection of Craft Beer is outstanding. 99 Bottles is always our first stop when shopping for North Dakota Craft Beer. When we walked in the door we were greeted by the welcoming staff. We visited with the same staff member for about 5 minutes while we paid, he was entertaining. Always a great experience!

They have an amazing selection of craft and local beers. If you are looking for a whiskey or bourbon that is unique take a look at teir top shelf. The employees are very knowledgeable. They also offer classes on spirits of you want to expand your knowledge!

I swung by specifically looking for one cider, and they had it which delighted me. Lost a star because the service was meh. Got that star right back because this is a dog friendly liquor store. And I don't just mean dog friendly, I mean you walk in and the store dog comes up and greets you. Maybe follows you around in the aisles a bit. It was wearing a very cute vest. Man, I'll deal with mediocre service for that adorable old man dog (maybe a lady, I didn't get all up in it's business). I'm actually incredibly upset because I had my dog with me, and didn't bring them in, and this could have been a great moment but frankly I don't trust the 75 lb husky in a store full of glass bottles.So yeah, I had to find the cider by myself despite asking where it was, but dog.

Editing this 4 years later. From 3 stars to 5. Maybe they saw my review and took it to heart, because the beer and wine selection is awesome now. And I always leave with what I'm looking for.Decent beer selection, wine selection is mediocre at best. Went there looking for a wide selection of shooters to find a very minimal, bare bones selection instead. I've encountered (common, popular) products that I was looking for, out of stock both times I went there. On the outside you'd think this liquor store has a larger variety, but inside is kind of disappointing.

While 99 bottleshas both decent pricing and a good variety of product (I particularly enjoy the local craft beer section), the primary appeal is their staff. I have come in for beer, liquor, wine, and mix-in recommendations for both myself and as gifts and have not been steered wrong yet. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. While this liquor store is fairly out of the way for me to get to, it nevertheless remains my favorite and most regularly frequented liquor store.

Just picked up an Aberlour at a good price & can't wait to try it. More than an average liquor store experience. Owner was knowledgeable & helpful. I love learning about whiskey so it was a treat to stop here. 🥃🍻✌

Very nice staff. They all deal with crabby mouthy customers like myself very well. Prices are very good better then most places in town, and its the only lottery place I seem to win at.

Went there for a craft beer tasting. It was pathetic. I was not impressed. I'm am a bartender and went there with three other bartenders to check out the new expansion and some tasty new beers, we sat there for at least ten minutes with out so much as being greeted or carded. We weren't the only ones being ignored either. Saw six other people next to us who sat with empty sample glasses the entire time we were there, waiting themselves for the guys attention (at least they had sample glasses). New customers came in, walked up to where a couple other people were directly in front of him (that were actually being talked to) and they were immediately given glasses and samples. At this point I say "excuse me sir..." No response. Repeat myself three more times before I get a muffled reply (because he wasn't even willing to turn around to actually talk to me) which I don't understand him but I still ask "so, do we have to come to over there to get served?" Which at this point he at least kind of looks over his shoulder and says "yeah, I'm kind of busy". Are you serious!? Why do you have a wrap around bar!? I work in a craft beer bar on Friday nights and can juggle 50 customers and you can't handle 14 (I counted)!? At which point we start walking around to the front to maybe get served when we decide it isn't worth FREE BEER and we are going to go somewhere else. As we are leaving he finally asks to see our IDs... I even had a purchase to make for my friends birthday party this evening but after that showing, I didn't even want to buy anything there. Lost sales and valuable customers that could put a good word out to their customers at the respective bars we work in for this place but now I have nothing positive to say.You failed 99 bottles.

99 Bottles is the closest liquor store to my apartment, but I rarely go there despite being a craft beer fanatic, and despite their fairly good craft beer selection. They do not turn-over their craft beer inventory often enough. They have cases of Sierra Nevada that are consistently 5-6 months old, which will always taste skunky. If I were the distributor, I would demand that old product be taken off the shelf. They would sell more beer if it weren't so old. I have spoken to the staff there on three separate occasions regarding their beer inventory and nothing ever changes. I don't have a problem driving several miles out of my way to get good craft beer. Your loss, 99 Bottles.

They've got a nice selection of booze beer and wine. They're the nicest liquor store in that area. Parking kinda sucks a bit considering it's right on Main Ave. I would suggest though especially if you live in that neighborhood.

The only place in town that I've found that carries Power's whiskey AND you can bring your dog in there with you. Definitely my favorite liquor store in the F-M area.
