Great hometown locally owned full service grocery store! Sit down deli with hot meals available. Butcher shop cuts fresh steaks, chops, etc.. not prepackaged. Top notch produce! Clean store with good variety and knowledgeable & friendly staff!

The store is always very clean and normally very friendly. The last few times I have shopped there I get the same cashier no hi, doesn't tell me my total, and slams the receipt on the counter when done and doesn't say thank you. I always thank her to see if she will say it but nope. She just looks like she hates her job. Maybe not a good fit for her to be a cashier

Great variety, great employee attitude they are very knowledgeable about what they carry. I think it's expensive but that's because I live in a state that isnt. It is the only liquor store in town so if you want to buy alcohol be they before 10 pm and closed on Sundays. Back to cost of items, I compared to local surrounding areas and they really are comparable for prices maybe even a little less expensive. It is what it is when in mn if your buying alcohol or cigarettes your going to pay more. Over all it was a good experience at this store would I go back?yes I would. Plenty of parking, clean store, good variety of alcohol, beer and wine. No wait in and out. The beer was exceptionally cold as well. I recommend just bring a fat wallet to mn.

Montevideo Market is a great small town grocery. It's still independent from the big box chains driving out all the rural, independent, small businesses.They have a wide selection of groceries, meats, vegetables, etc. The vegetables were fresh when I was there, and that was immediately following a devastating storm. I was impressed that they still had full, fresh vegetables available.

I went in around 2:30 pm on a Tuesday. There were two clerks standing and chatting when I walked in. (Neither one greeted me.) i looked for an item I needed and could not find it. I went over and asked the girls for help. They told me to go look again. I did. Still couldn’t find it. By this time one was sweeping up with a broom. I asked again and was ignored. I left. That’s some customer service. I won’t be going there again.

My sister recently bought some strawberries from this market and she didn’t realize that they were MOLDY before she ate a couple of them. I don’t even trust using my food items I bought there now because of this situation. I won’t be going again.

Awesome people, always has just what I need. Only thing I’d change is the, “SEAFOOD SALAD “, from the deli. Way, way, way to much vinegar. Seafood salad should be sweeter.

They had great specials this week. Red, yellow and orange peppers 5/5 Angel food cake bars. Roma tomatoes 99 cents per pound.
