I just watch 5 employees literally attack a young man ..early 20s if not a teenager.. they locked rhe doors wouldn't let anyone leave. And the men that work there chased him down as he ran to the back door turned around ran back towards the front doors again and at the register area BEAT THE CEAP out of the young man. Yes the kid was shoplifting I'm not even sure what but most stores have a strict policy that says employess can not physically touch a customer to detain them, And I'm pretty sure they cannot lock the doors and keep evertone inside. None of them clean up or stock. You can't find anything it's such a mess. The employees kicked me out bc I told then what they were doin was extremely illegal and against store shoplifting policy but its also assault and battery and illegally detaining and modt definitely disorderly conduct. I had my 2 year old daughter and a friend I nside with me, along with my neighbors and their baby boy. The backed that boy into a corner and assaulted him 2 or 3 grown men and 3 loud extremely rude unprofessional woman all beating up this boy at the front. The boy could've been carrying a gun or who knows w h at. THEY PUT EVERYONE IN THE STORE AT RISK. UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE LOUD AND DISRESPECTFUL AND VIOLENT.

I have visited this location several times since the location near me has closed. My experience has not been good those times. Once I was confronted by a store employee regarding a box of cake mix that I grabbed off the shelf but was questioned due to her having pulled a cart full of boxes of mix for a lady who makes cakes for a nearby business. She appeared angry when questioning me about the cake mix. Just today I went to retrieve some items 15 minutes to closing time of 8 pm, get to the door, locked. The worker informed me they were closed. This was 15 minutes prior to closing time. Very poor customer service experienced there nearly every visit.

Hard to spot from the street. But it has everything you need. This location has become very popular over the past year. Expect long lines during peak times 10A-12P and 4P-7P.

This location is never open when it's supposed to be. It will close early for no reason or just be closed for days on end. To make matters more frustrating they have no store phone and no way to find out any info whatsoever. Today after rolling the dice and taking two buses, I was greeted with locked doors and a pen-scribbled piece of paper that just read "CLOSED". No explanation or information when this would change was posted either. I tried calling another location hoping I would either be able to find a store number or maybe someone would know why it's been so terribly unreliable. I understand its the dollar general, but it would be nice if a store that can't seem to ever keep the posted hours or shelves stocked would at least be open in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. It's not asking much.

This place was nice when it first opened, but it has gone down hill. From No specific open time to horrible customers service if open at all. permanently close this place and spare us the misery of wasting our time coming or make changes.

Very clean and organized. The staff is very helpful. Pretty well stocked at all times. The best manager is Shay she's very kind always willing to help you find whatever you can't find. she greets everyone and has a great personality . I went there today and she wasn't feeling good getting over a cold and was still awesome as always . all the other staff are always helpful as well😊

The doors were locked but the website said it was open. As soon as I got back to my car the employee unlocked the doors to let someone out and then locked it back up again.

This Dollar General is a very clean and bright, well-stocked, and inviting store, with a focus on customer service and a large variety of unique merchandise. First of all, regarding the merchandise at the store, there are many items that you as a customer can count on seeing on a regular basis, and these items are almost always in stock. If an item I need is missing it is usually available the next time I go to this store (I frequent this Dollar General at least 2 or 3 times a week). Also, the store rotates out seasonal and holiday oriented merchandise on a very regular basis, so you can expect to find a variety of new merchandise very frequently. What's really unique about Dollar General is that they carry some brands that I really like and can't find--either the brand or the specific product-- anywhere else. For example, they carry LA Colors makeup items like eyeshadow singles, trendy nails, and matte lip glosses that are not available anywhere else, and they have added exclusive, low-priced pet food and other general pet items that match up to the more expensive name-brand products when it comes to quality. Another thing I like is that this store puts the seasonal clothing on clearance pretty regularly when a new season begins. The cashiers here are friendlier than any of the other regular staff at the surrounding bargain stores, which has largely influenced my decision to frequent this store. I wish I had the name of the helpful people that I have encountered, but the best I can do is verify that you won't wait in line for forever, and you won't get your stuff thrown in the bag carelessly and your change nearly thrown back at you just as carelessly! The management obviously does a good job of hiring and promoting those who excel at their jobs. If you haven't checked it out since it has been renovated from Family Dollar to Dollar General I would highly recommend shopping at this store at least once. Honestly, you might find that it becomes your favorite.

I really like this store. Friendly service and of course cheap prices. Its a shame lowlife people have to "use" places like this in rioting just to steal stuff instead of working for it the honest American way. In the end they'll all be held accountable. No escape. Anyways thanks DG you always have what we need when we need it at a low price and with a smile...

The manager does her thing with keeping store clean Mya! She greets guest and caught a shoplifter. Great service.. Fast cash register. Did not like black girl with gap though. She kept flirting with my man in front of our child. She lucky i found it funny. My man felt uncomfortable big laugh for me. But love the store. Great prices and sales.

Fairly organized considering all of the different items that they carry. Staff is friendly and readily available to assist you if you need help with anything. If you need just a general item, this would be a good place to stop. Also, they have an app that you can download. To check current in-store pricing however the in-store availability on whether it is in stock or not is very rarely accurate.

This store has been a great convenient store for me since I reside in the area, but the lady with the gap-tooth treated me badly. She was impatient and cancelled my transaction for no reason and told me to go. Those black ladies, need to have anger management classes before serving the public. They are always very rude and have negative attitude.

I went to this location for the last time. I missed the lake street location. They had employees that care about their job. I went into store because I received a email about a 50 percent off sale for the holiday items. I picked up some Christmas items.then I went to the register . The items rang up at full price. I told the cashier that my items was on sale. He said it would take the 50 percent off at the end. He did not take 50 percent off at the end. Even before I paid for my item I show him the weekly ad and the big sign on the shelf in front of the Christmas items. I asked for a manager and he said there is none at this location. I would have to buy my items and come back on Saturday when thier a manager on duty. But they did not give me back my money. You can have my extra $60 this time but this will be my last time. I will write the attorney general about this because I have the sales ad and my receipt and the items. This is false advertising and against the law in the state of Minnesota .

Every time I've gone here the store was a disaster. Things were impossible to find in all the clutter, and even worse than that are the staff. My last (and do I mean LAST) visit to the store involved almost a half an hour of just trying to locate the things I needed, walking around in circles. One staff member tried unsuccessfully to help me find what I was looking for (thank you), I found some other things I needed instead, but when I got to the checkout I had an issue with my card. I tried to call and resolve it while other people went through the line but ultimately got no answer. I figured I'd try running it as credit and when that didn't work the cashier chewed me out about how I wasted her time making her void it again. As someone who worked retail I get that that's annoying but you cannot lash out at customers that way.

The staff here are nice. They don't have much of a selection for Easter this year like they normally have in the past. They do however keep a well stocked store on general everyday items. Plus they allways have something not advertised in their ad on sale. Might not need it but who dosent like the word "CLEARANCE". Lol

Best darn store, anywhere. Name a product, likely they have it. Clean, organized, great staff. WAY better than the saver stores. Cheap prices, great product. Greeting cards, name brand make-up, at an affordable price. Shelving, cleaning supplies, featured clearance. Well stocked frozen foods including name brand dinners, pizza, and snack foods; impressive.

They had everything I needed plus a lot of other interesting and useful items. My only recommendation is to change the store name to "Dollars General," because many of the items in the store were well over one dollar. Not a complaint, just truth in advertising.

I live in the area! Staff is nice but lately they been pulling a dollar tree thing! Suppose to be open but have been closed way before 10 last couple times I’ve tried to go! Really sucks since everything in the area closes at 8 they were the last hope but now spuratic closings when the website says their open sucks! I know one time was for computer updating, that’s usually dollar trees excuse once or twice a week! You’d think corporate stores would think to do updates when the store is closed! But non of the corporate stores around here have figured that out yet!

I went in there about a month ago to buy cat food. The price on the shelf was .60 but when I got to the register, it rung up at .70. I asked the cashier about it and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "looks like they changed the price". Staff is unfriendly and have poor customer service. I will not be going there again.

This store used to be a complete mess. Recently they have done alot to get it orginized! Staff are NOT friendly! And it definitely a hood store. But its a neighborhood store & i ALWAYS support our community! & i know they deal with many crazy & disrespectful customers!

Went there to pick up Western Union because it is listed as a location and the manager tells me that I have to download Dollar general app. I stood in line and created an account and when I got to the register she tells me that I have to download Dollar general Western Union app which doesn't exist. Total waste of time. when I brought it to her attention that that isn't what she told me she got real nasty with me and then call for the next customer. Worst customer service experience ever. I would not recommend this particular Dollar general.

It's a good place for quick shopping. It has mostly items you need everyday. Busy at time but the cashiers are helpful. The only downside is it's not a big retail store

The cashier(black woman) that rung me up at 10:30am today over charged me $10. I knew that seemed off. It's no wonder she didn't bother to give me my receipt. I think she intentionally did that, damn thief. Sketchy af. Customer service wasn't professional, it was unethical.

It's easy to get to by bus and only blocks away from the franklin lightrail station. Don't forget your mask! They like to make sure that everyone is able to shop in a clean and healthy environment. Parking is available in front of the store if your driving. It's also handicap friendly with handicap parking directly in front of the entrance. They are wheelchair accessable, and the aisles are wide enough to be wheelchair friendly.
