It's unfortunate to give this give this establishment a 2, because it isn't the store's fault or even the cashier's working in the store. It gets this low rating due to overzealous security that decided to act inappropriately and without any semblance of sensibility. See, I was looking through the Hot Wheels Cars too long, which apparently is good 'nuff reason to be kicked out. I was very happy to be coming across some hard to find toy cars that average out to $1-$2 and although I didn't have any in my hand was told to put down what I was going to purchase and leave the store. I could not agree with this because either that guard new that I had found a Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt and he wanted it for himself, or he was just a moron, like so many others, that have decided to forgo reason and discourage a paying customer from spending any money in this downtrodden area of Minneapolis. Anyways, I'm sure that this place won't be around much longer. That's not a good thing, but it's a reality because of people like that fool, who doesn't know his role. I mean the guy wasn't even effective, because I was still able to purchase the 4 cars I have included pictures. I was just intending to buy quite a few more. $$"

Found what I needed except 1 item and that was accessories for electronic devices Example: iPhone charger. Customer service was good! Otherwise I was satisfied.

Eye love this store! The staff are always relatable, the background music is enjoyable and the dollar deals are worthy, not just unneeded stuff marked low. Five stars from me!!

This is the North Mpls location "in the Hood" some say. I don't mind going here but it's always a mess nothing is where I'm sure things should be like on he shelf's beside that the vibe is good and the employees are Genuine for the most part. I do also like that it's by other Stores very convenient.

Lots of options of items and the staff is helpful and the store is fairly well organized. Some good deals to be had for sure. Holiday items are always out on time and easy to shop for.

I like shopping here. You get what you pay for and there are no letdowns or surprises with the products. However I do not give it five stars for the main reason being the customer service of the employees. There is no kindness or feeling of any kind. You're lucky if they say hi to you when you come to pay. Yeah employees need a lesson in etiquette. And what's the deal with no carts? Tacky and ghetto

Why is this store is still open ???🤔The employees stealing from the store..😳you go in the store they not stocked..😒 They don't got no carts🙄... The employees hustling in the store and will give you free merchandise for cash and the floor is filthy 😒... These type of people and things make our community look bad Northside already got a bad wrap 😒🙄. Do better!!😡

The price on the shelf says one thing, then when you check out it's higher at the register. When you say something they get mad about it. Easy solution, do your jobs and price stuff right the first time.

They have good prices & a variety of goods but there's 3 issues with this store and that is: #1-this store is ALWAYS MESSY, nothing is in the spots marked for it & boxes or store equipment is in the way of shoppers... #2- this stores prices are 7 out of 10, in ringing up at the register as NOT what's on the SHELF & if u question the price, the EMPLOYEE gets an ATTITUDE like it's your fault something is wrong!!! AND #3- this stores EMPLOYEE'S NEVER have the Dollar General shirts or name tags on, so shoppers can ask ANY questions too & if u FIND the Employee, they almost ALWAYS have an ATTITUDE, even when u are POLITE to Them!!! 👎👎👎👎👎

I literally have been going here for years. It's my neighborhood store today one of the employees Alex walked away when I put my items on the counter and refuse to serve me. Then opened up a second register taking the customers behind me. Shalice is their saving grace. The disrespect and lack of customer service is appolling She came up apologized and serviced me quickly and professionally.

It's a weird place. You have to leave your bag at the counter when you enter. The store isn't very clean. It is 'day after black Friday' chic. The people are polite but a little short. That being said, it's a dollar store, not Tiffany's.

I always come to.this store after work because the employees are always friendly and willing to help. The manager is also a great manager to his staff and always willing to step up and assist his employees when the lines are long or customers needs assistance. Keep up the great work guy's.

They always have a sign on the door stating their closed. The store usually has cages/boxes blocking aisles. Unorganized, chaotic, anxiety and usually out of the thing you came for

I like shopping at this Dollar General, BUT I hate their hours as of lately. Sometimes they close at noon, their hours have been erratic, making me have to shop at other places like family dollar which I don't like shopping at. Fix your hours Dollar General, then I'll give you 5 stars.

First time & first impression: lack of selection regarding certain goods, most merchandise cost more than a $1 & long check out line with only 1 cashier. Overall DG is more concerned about making money than store appearance, customer service & customer satisfaction. For example, message on pta system repeatedly mentioned theft & surveillance & not once said thank for shopping at GD.

Elders are afraid to walk around because of the unpack items, They have to shop closer to home, with the risk of been hurt, I have to choose a star/it doesn't deserve a star,It deserve better employee that are willing to pay attention to the customer safety

Since Mya left this store has been a mess. Workers to the store in general. Very cluttered. Very messy. Ghetto loud annoying club music I forgot where I was for a second. Staff gossiping it's very ghetto and unprofessional. Ran horribly

Really need to get it organized and CLEANED¡ Store is in shambles. Debit card pay machine refused to work, I ended up leaving without my purchase. 2nd time, shame and I walked up there.
