I am very disappointed in the owners and managers of this establishment because of the horrible staff and security guards they hire and they allow them to harass, intimidate, be rude and disrespectfull and worst of all try to manipulate and steal from your customers. Today my fiancee and I went in to get some food and 1 of their security guards first tries to get us to buy him his drink he wanted and when we refused he convinced the customer who was at the checkout to add it to his EBT, which is also fraud! We had an issue happen and needed to go to our car to take care of it and he stop my fiance and tried to get information out of him. I decided to go back in alone, without my purse due to how I had noticed this 'guard' eyeing it the first time I left it with my fiance to be safe and the moment I walked in he stops me and tells me to come over to where he was, standing away from most of the public, he says to me "where is that purse you had" I replied "No it's not yours and you can't have it and turned and walked away then he said " he took off with it didn't he" and that was all I could take and I turned around shook my head and said very loudly "No HE didn't" and I turned around and walked away. When I was leaving he decided to give me an intimidating look and I stopped n front of him and showed him that #1 I was NOT afraid of him and #2 that I will never allow someone else to EVER disrespect me or try fo intimiddate or manipulate me no matter how much bigger they are than me , I will always stand up against and fight this behavior so that it will never be used to hurt or harm anyone else. People like him are cowards and back down every time cause if they don't I WILL do everything in my power to make sure they receive ever consequence, charge and punishment they earned from their BAD behavior. I just wish this company would actually make sure every employee is being professional and respectful at all times while at work instead of harassing and trying to steal or abuse the customers. This is NOT a safe place to go and I would suggest you chose to go to 1 of the other many grocery stores they have in this area instead of here until the owners start doing what they should already be going which is watching and Managing every staff and making sure that this behavior is never acceptable and will not be tolerated.

Someone at customer service is misbehaving and disrespectful to the customers. I Never had such experience like this morning anywhere else. I want to Money order my nearest cup I come across someone racist and disrespectful claiming even that she is Kenyan. I had to go drive another cup food 30 miles at list she couldn’t get me money order because she said you are doing fraud. Is Getting my money order for my rent fraud? I think she is Destroying that location customers, and I think that’s not how she would act in her own company she claimed she was manager I don’t know why someone easy like that would be that position. She don’t deserve it. I would say to cup company of that location owners to reconsider and retrain those kind of people because I don’t want to deal with someone massing my time and disrespectful just to get the service I deserve.

This store is not open until 10 pm. I arrived at 945 pm and was told they were closed. I will recommend Google update the correct hours for this business. This is the second time I have been turned away from this store.

My three-year-old who is recently potty. Trained needed to use the restroom. And unfortunately, I am unable to shop during the day because I work. So we are forced to shop in the evenings roughly between the hours of seven and nine. Recently, a one particular night my son needed to use the restroom and it was eight fifteen I go to the front and ask a security guard if my child can use the bathroom and he says the bathrooms close at eight.. Understandable for the crime rate here. So, the reasonable person that I am express that I don't want to go into the bathroom. But he needs to use the restroom. And the guard just turns around and shrugged his shoulders. I have always been very adamant about supporting businesses on the North side. Because I live here. And I think it's important to keep money in my community weather. It's for a change in business or a small mom and pop shop. Because either way they bring jobs to the community. Even with their ridiculously high prices. I still hold that virtue to be true, however, after this instance When I just went to the checkout. So we could just get what we had and leave my three year old peed in his pants.. It was thirty degrees out of that day and we ride the bus. So unfortunately I will never shop at northside cub again because how heartless. Like you just have no respect for humanity or for babies. Like He is only three years old. Ann on top of all this. I know that the security guard knows me. Because every time I go there He is working and unfortunately. I have 2 little boys who are crazy and rambunctious and don't know how to behave in the store. So it's not like we're exactly quiet when we're in there and in my own personal experience. Working customer service or even being in that environment you start to recognize faces. So for 3 years I'm going to this cub Pretty regularly, 2-3 times a week.Between 7 and 9.You cannot tell me that He didn't recognize me. I just will never get over the fact that you really wouldn't let a three-year-old. Use the bathroom because why???? you're scared that he's gonna smoke some blues off of foil in the bathroom.

I enjoy this grocery store, everyone has been nice to me that works there. And if I had a misunderstanding about a price on an item, they've always cleared it up so that I understand where the confusion was. I do believe it pays to get the Cub Rewards app on your phone. That's where I've found you can save some big money sometimes. Overall I like the store and recommend it highly. I do wish TCF had stayed TCF, But nothing can be absolutely %100 perfect these days can it...

Well clean, wasn’t looked at weird or followed which is the first cause of my appearance, so that’s 5 stars alone. Everyday people and not overly friendly which I appreciate. I almost saw my first fight inside a cub, kinda got excited. But honestly not bad.

I have been here a few times because this is the closest location to where I live. I will come here if I'm in a pinch and need something quick that I know they will have. But because this store is small it doesn't have a lot of the variety that I'm looking for. Every time I've gone in there I've always had pleasant reactions with the staff. However I have been harassed by the homeless people that hang out around there

I came in a hurry because my puppy ran out of dog food.It was the last money i had on my debit card to take a lyft (it was freezing cold outside) and they closed in 20 mins.I got to cub foods in time they were not suppose to close and lock the doors for 10 mins!Well the man was outside hallering to anyone trying to get in “store closed, were closed” only letting out” “we gotta go home too” lock the doors at 9:45”That would have been great to know considering online it says 10pm.I relied and depended and trusted this public information.Also considering it was the only store open in the area, close, and had what i needed to get for an affordable price.It would have been nice to know that they lock the doors at 9:45pm because they need to go home too and that saying they close at 10pm means that they leave at 10pm. Rather then them actually locking the doors at 10pm. For last minute emergencies for someone like myself.Thank you cub foods!

This store needs to have more registers open when people getting off work. At least half the self check outs are always closed. I shop here 3 to 5 days a week.

What a horrible Cub. I mean it smells weird inside every time, looks and feels run down, and don't get me started on "curbside".Just go somewhere else, it's worth the 10 minute drive.

While homeless and living at Mary's Place in June 2022, I got married to a very sweet man.that same day we married, he had taken a bus to come all the way from New York . He could only stay for a couple days and had to return. He had his last $400 in his wallet. He was going to give me half and have half for himself to return with. While at this cub in the self checkout he had dropped the $400 cash while taking his card out of his wallet. He didn't see it happen and left. Amazingly, someone turned it in! Now this is where I can't wrap my head around this... an employee said she put the money into a money bag. It was never logged supposedly and it was stolen by an employee!!! I'm shocked that it was a store employee who was the thief and a customer was the honest one....so messed up.

The only grocery store in the community, clean, fresh produce and meats, often out of stock for popular items, does cost more, but great rewards club discounts and coupons, plus discounts on Holiday Gas. A great store overall.

Out of all the places I go to around town, this is one establishment I try to avoid if at ALL possible. 1 out of 5 lanes open a minimum daily. 15 items or less in self checkout and people have a year ‘round holiday packed cart in the freakin’ “self checkout” lane. 4 or 5 out of 6 screens work. AND BRING BACK THE SALT AND VINEGAR CHICKEN WINGS FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

Though this Cub store closes at 10:00 pm, it's still a really good store with a great selection of food & non-food products. I generally get a lot of Asian condiments and soups there as well as liter bottles of Black Cherry ICE brand flavored charged water. I also buy My rye bread there for a full dollar less than those in the bread aisle. Cub's bakery is just as good and less expensive than the Pepperidge Farms offerings and you get a full loaf rather than the half-loaf the other brand sells for the higher price! You can't go wrong with Cub Foods. It's my go to food store.

They close doors early at 9:45pm. Google hours need to reflect this. Many customers were turned away btw 9:45-10 because of this confusion.

ordered through Cub app. wasn't provided a receipt. called the store woman said their receipts don't print in time to give to customers. I was missing 4 items; called again and spoke to Store Dir. Aman, said they don't have those items & put me on hold. After waiting 15 mins on hold, i called Customer Service HQ instead; and got my problem resolved.

I honestly don't know how this place is still qualified as a "grocery store". The deli fried chicken is consistently inedible, there's hardly any food on the shelves and most of the employees seem like they don't want to be there.

They don't know how to mark their products properly and then they don't hold true to their unmarked products. Ridiculous dirty and rude employees 😡. Would not recommend going to this Cub .

Always an unpleasant experience at the deli. No matter how pleasant I am, the deli workers serving the chicken are always preoccupied with doing things,other than serving the customers. Such nasty attitude’s! I hate it there!

Stop at Cub Foods on the North side to get lunch and use the restroom school bus driver address school bus over here restroom was locked sign said see associate I did so and was told it's out of order decided to finish Well I came here to get just to see several people going in and out of the men's restroom and then what appears to be a security person lock the restroom again same gentleman also escorted a lady to the restroom that's out of order but let her on poor service overall I thought the store looks nice it's been a couple years since I've been in it went back to Cub Foods today manager was very helpful I decide I want to walk around and check out the storm or today staff was exceptional I was searching for a particular item my wife asked me to look for a lady that was talking stuff came up to me to help me out very helpful they don't have it there in the store but she told me a place where they may happen at the deli they didn't have the chicken I want it let it go if you can wait a few minutes I will make sure to get it for you and she did very grateful to them very nice to see so many people that care at that Cub Foods I think they're nicer than the Maple Grove store

Never a problem. Always clean. Excellent selection, price, sales and member rewards. Never had a problem with cashier's, store employees, managers, etc.I so wish I lived closer to one of their locations. I know I'd be saving money and eating like a champ!

It's only getting one star from me because I don't know how to do a tenth of a star!Every once in awhile I'm just too pressed for time to go anyplace else, but if at all possible I will drive miles out of my way to avoid having to deal with the rude, for lack of a better word, "customer service". If I couldn't get cash back at point of sale, I would never step foot in this store!

I like this Cub Foods because it's convenient and at least its 1 solution to the food desert situation going on in N. MPLS. However I agree with the other reviews stating it needs to be corporate owned.They don't have the typical inventory that other Cub Foods have. For the most part the staff is nice and helpful, although I had one a experience where a cashier got into a verbal altercation with another customer while ringing up my groceries (awkward). Then a manager came over and I thought they were going to shut it down, but they just empathized with the cashier because she was angry. I guess the other customer was rude?? It was like I was invisible and she was taking her sweet time ringing up my groceries due to this altercation that really didn't seem worth investing time on.I used to work in customer service and dealt with my share of rude customers. Killing them with kindness and not letting them get under your skin is the best defense. Unfortunately people do go out in the world looking for drama and I think that was the case here. Arguing with the customer is giving them what they want.On top of that, there was one time a random man followed my husband and I out to our car. He offered to help load our groceries into the car. We said we didn't need help. He started placing our groceries into the car anyways. I then firmly and loudly told him we don't need help, but "thank you anyways". He then asked for money. I explained we don't carry cash. Then he told me I'm smart for not putting my purse in the cart and walked away....what? My husband and I were pretty sure he didn't intend to help, he was trying to rob us. Be careful ladies. Keep your purse close.I know that has nothing to do with Cub itself, but my husband and I started going to Cub in New Brighton.We definitely need more affordable produce-focused grocery stores in North Minneapolis, but they also need to be safe and well-managed. How do we stop the cycle of crime in this community?
