I called this Cub Food store and was able to get 300 pieces of cooked fried chicken in 30 minutes. Yes to the deli manager and yes to everyone who made it happen! It was a city high school football banquet and we will use you…not at the last minute…for all of our future orders! Thank you so much!!

Nice employees. Always helpful! Plus the deli has the best fried chicken in town! Fresh and hot with a crispy golden crunchy coating on the outside, and when you bite into it the chicken inside is tender and juicy. Delicious! 😋

My baby’s father, who is a black man, couldn’t buy our $200 worth of groceries because his ID didn’t match his MOTHER’S credit card, who was helping us out. His elderly mother who couldn’t be with him unfortunately wasn’t there. So we couldn’t get ANY of our groceries. I called the store and they said it’s policy which I know isn’t true. I go to Cub daily as a WHITE woman and NEVER have I been asked to show my ID when I had my dad’s card. Make it make sense?!! Good thing this cub is going downhill from what I read with the other reviews because THEY DESERVE TO CLOSE AND ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE DESERVE TO BE WITHOUT A JOB.

I was visiting from out of state and felt like I had strep all of a sudden. Cub offers rapid strep tests and if it’s a positive result, fulfills the antibiotic prescription right there. Clara was so kind and the whole thing took about 1 hr. I got on the plane home the next feeling much better already. Thanks for offering this health service!

Don’t go in the location at night if you’re a POC. I frequently shop here because it’s up the street from me, and they always assume I’m going to steal something. I’ve never stolen anything, and I would rather put the items back, if I can’t afford them. The night time crew is always rude as well. Some of them are pictured in the comments and some of them aren’t. And everything at this Cub location is more expensive than any location I’ve been to. I would rather go out of my way to drive to the Edina, Bloomington or One of the Lake St locations. Really poor service and it makes the community look bad.

Manager on duty Emmanuel is the best! When another employee couldn't find my cupcake custom order, Emmanuel jumped in to help and resolved the issue quickly. He is friendly and professional and I was very grateful.

This cub is one of the worst I have been to yet. The way the food was laid out in the store made it terribly confusing to find what I was looking for. After finally finding everything I needed, I proceeded to check out. I forgot to add ice to my purchase, so I ended up making a separate purchase for ice. I couldn't find where the ice was, so I asked Deborah (at least that was what she said her name was) where the ice was. She gave me a very inquisitive look and instead of telling me where the ice was, she asked "did you even purchase ice?". I ended up having to show her my receipt for ice in order for her to help me. Once I showed her my receipt, she told me it was on checkout aisle 1 (she didn't even bother to show me where it was or even point). It turns out that it was on the inside of the store and not on the way out which was confusing. I grabbed the only bag of ice that I was able to find and I was in a pretty big hurry at this point since it took so long to find my groceries and the ice.On the way almost out the door Deborah stopped me and said that she printed my receipt and that I had not paid for the ice I had grabbed and instead that I had paid for a different option. She then had the audacity to tell me " you can't just take things that you didn't pay for" like I was trying to steal. This whole interaction with Deborah was absolutely disrespectful and very rude for something that I really didn't have much control over.I will not be shopping at this CUB again

I know this seems trivial but things are expensive! I was choosing which toilet paper to buy because it expensive. I opted for the bulk pack because it's cheaper per roll. But actually you can't compare prices because the unit price is different from brand to brand. For one brand it's priced by the sheet and others by the roll. Makes it hard to compare prices. You'd think a manager would catch that. Shoppers need to be able to compare prices these days with everything so expensive. What do they offer for the exuberant prices? Could they give us a reasonable chance to save money?

Three Store workers and the Security guy followed me around assuming I was stealing after I was checking out the security guard got in my face invading my personal space and told me to leave and said I was trespassed so I asked for the manager but they all said they were the manager

I love cub but this location has to be the worst. It’s time for a major renovation. The lights are dimmed. The dairy section smells like urine. They close the main entrance doors at 8 pm. The self checkouts I know they’re touchy but theses ones here in particular are horrible, slow and sensitive.

I usually have a great experience in this particular store. As a matter of fact, I live very close to the Edina Store, however due to better produce selections, as well as different discounts, etc. We choose the Nicollet Ave location. Today I was in and I was shopping for my household, as well as my elderly mother's home. That being said, I forgot to give my rewards info for my transaction. I went to the service desk and Pam was working, alone at the time. When I asked her if she could help me add the rewards to a past transaction, she rolled her eyes and said yes. When I tell you that she rolled her eyes, I have to explain how inconvenienced she made sure to let me know that she was!! She rolled her eyes so hard that it was damn near audible! I had to ask her if it was too much trouble? I would have let it go!! She said, no and asked me for my phone number. She no sooner entered my number and it was done!? The way she was sighing and gasping, and let us not forget about the eye roll that conveyed the message "I'd rather kill you than help you with this". I thought for sure that it was going to take at least 10 minutes of her time!! Wow, nothing like having a customer service rep make you feel like a smelly wet orphan dog, especially right to your face!!

Edited: Beware the meat and dairy departments. We used to go here frequently, but over the past few months had numerous bad experiences where we purchased fresh meat there only to try to use it later that week either on or a day before it's use by date only to find it had spoiled. The last time was with a piece of fish that I ran back to the store to return and complain about, then exchanged for two other packs of fish. Got home and one of those packs, which had a use by date a couple days out, was already bad straight off their shelf! I ran that back to the store too and grabbed a different cut of fish. The next day my wife was at the store, walked by their fish counter and saw the same cut with the same date still out and it stunk. That's when we decided to take a break from this place. Still go occasionally because they're in the neighborhood and affordable, but not buying meat from them again, and head to the Uptown Cub for our grocery stockups. Postscript: came back to revise this from 2 stars to 1 star after it happened again here - we bought a quart of heavy whipping cream only to open it at home, find it had already spoiled, and then realize it's 9 days past it's expiration date. When I took it back to the store I discovered there were two more expired quarts in their dairy case on sale with the same date listed. This store is gross.

Was good before. But outstanding with the new remodel! So much more spacious! Wonderful seating area next to the deli. Best produce section I've ever seen at a Cub. Lots of weird reviews on this location -- issues Cub can't control, or so take those with a grain of salt.

Horrible Deli dept! We bought 5 sandwiches from deli. Little did we know we got extra surprises. 2 of our sandwiches had flies in them. One we opened not knowing and the other one was on top in package sealed. My son didn't notice when he picked it up. When I went to return them. One open and one not. The manager actually asked me for a receipt! I said no I was not given one but I have the card I used and we were here at around 530 today. She hesitated to give me a refund I said this sandwich isn't even opened and it says cub foods on it and you can see the fly on the sandwich. The other one I bit into it in the sandwich. 🤢🤮 I believe she gave me my refund back only cause other customers heard me not because she intended to. I suggested checking the other sandwichs and deli dept and she said there was no need.So if you dare get food from this locations deli check your food. There was no way the person making the food didn't see the fly when wrapping it.

I love this location on 59th and Nicollet. Most of the employees are extremely helpful and great. Lana, Doug and a young man named Jonathon are always eager to put a smile on your face while checking out. It's really great to go somewhere where people enjoy your company, and you enjoy theirs just as much. You can't help but to look forward to going back again. Another great thing is the employees are always stocking shelves. In my opinion, it's great they try and keep up with demand. I don't like going to multiple stores looking for let's say, cheddar pretzels, or Sara Lee butter bread. Lastly, the Deli and Bakery for me are 2 incredible departments that hook me the moment I walk in. I hate walking in to those departments because I never know where to start, or what I want to get, because everything (for me anyway) is so gooood!!! "I can NEVER decide where to start, but I'm ALWAYS happy when I leave"! TM (trademark). That seems to sum up my at Cub. LOL.I do have 1 issue. That is customers. They leave carts scattered in the lot, not saying please and thank you anymore. Not holding the door for people behind them. Leaving their cart in the middle of the aisle to walk all the way down for peanut butter just to walk it all the way back to put it in the cart. Than, push his cart back down the aisle where he just walked to get the P.B. WHAT?!?! (this is a real dumb idiot, who I saw actually do this in real life.)Anyway, thank you Cub!! Thank you Lana, Doug and Jonathon! You're appreciated more than you know.

The want to charge you five cents for bags after you buy all those expensive price gouging groceries. One cashier his name is Douglas he will add bags on to your bill without even asking you. Some nerves!!!

Jen is amazing. Just wanted her/you all to know that! Also try to make your new pickup system put what items didn’t get fulfilled or did get replaced in the groceries are ready email or something, so they don’t get a confused call from a customer like me again - lol!

I like this Cub and have had good experiences at the deli, the girls back there are always nice, usually get service without waiting more than a couple minutes. The only problem with this Cub is the parking lot, can be tough to find a place to park late afternoon or early evenings. I wouldn’t go there on a weekend, huge crowds.

Used to be fantastic but it pointlessly closes at midnight now simply to hinder customers. I have to go miles deeper into town if I need to get some thing? I work late, the time I’m available to get things is between 230 and 4:30 in the morning and now I need to drive 7 1/2 miles to do it? I know you get enough business to be open as I happened to run into people at both stores I went to in the area who were also wanting to get in.If you’re just another lunds or kowalskis say that. Cubs supposed to be better than those places because you’re open late. Only disappointment

They place was busy. Lots of people doing their own things. If you knkw what your coming for and where it is in the store it is easy in out. If your trying to find something the employees mostly ignore you and are focused on thier tasks. Hard to get help. If you do get one to help you they are friendly.

The past month I’ve oddly gotten very rotten fish. I took it back to the store and got my money back, it was so bad the manager could smell it from 6ft away. Not being dramatic at all with that. 2nd was just today I bought packaged lunch meat and it’s dated nov. 28th and it has slummy white edges and very watery. There’s dates on their meats are wrong and they are pushing there products to be sold to the last very second to make any type of money. DO NOT BUY ANY MEAT FROM HERE. Warning.

Updated review: the store remodeled and most of the bulk bins are gone. Only a few items remain in smaller bins. This was a disappointment, as we used to go there specifically for the bulk foods.Original review: A very large and varied selection of foods, and excellent fresh produce. I especially appreciate the bulk food bins where you can buy cereals, grains, nuts, and other products that are much more expensive when packaged in smaller quantities. There are often good sales on family packs of meats. The store layout is a little intimidating at first, we're still learning where everything is. The place is huge. There's a good deli with a large selection of cheeses and both hot and cold pre-cooked dishes.

Don't get the chicken at the deli, o had have a view bad experience with it. Sometimes the staff there are kind of rude it's like hitting a mess on one day you can get something good another day forget it. No Cub Foods if you shop there they always have good deals. Depending on what you're looking for.

Really good fried chicken. 8 piece Monday special one of the best values in Twin Cities. St. Louis style BBQ ribs a great value in deli. Jerry's franchise, not a Super value store. Has good fresh produce and fresh meats. Has good Deli and bakery. Has fresh cut flowers, bank, and pharmacy.

Tonight I dropped by to pick up some milk and bread. I decided to withdraw some cas at the self service kiosk. There was a little hiccup so I accidentally left the cash behind. When I I realized it and call the stored. This was about 10 at night. Wes at the store said that one of the employees found it a cashier named Tammy found it. Everyone was real nice when I went back to pick it up. Thank you.

Shopping in the store is fine (except they are often out of things we need), but the new cub pickup, especially ordering online, is so frustrating. Wish I could still do Instacart pick up. Ordering and the app for Instacart was so much better.
