It's so nice here! The staff is always is so nice to everyone and the prices are actually reasonable and not through the roof like other pet stores. They also have a great selection of cat treats and food which is great for me and my lovely little kitty.

Went there because my cat has a sore on his head and I wanted some antibiotic spray. Dude handed me a bottle of homeopathic honey spray that cost over $30 dollars. Now I have a pissed off, sticky cat. I should of just ordered the $10 antibiotic spray from amazon. 2 stars because I should of read what he was selling me better.

I have been buying my food for my cat Oliver for many many years at this Chuck and Don's. Last week my cat was diagnosed with Diabetes. Katie and the other employees working last Saturday went above and beyond to try to help me find low carb food in your store! I so appreciate the knowledgable and caring staff at the uptown Chuck and Dons :-)

We recently moved to the area and we’re excited to find a pet store that offers a wide variety of raw foods for our pup. We also buy our cats canned food her.Sadly, my cat passed away this week. I went to return his canned cat food and was met with hostility and rudeness by two of the workers. I went at 7:30 pm on November 17th. I wanted to buy more raw food for my pup in exchange for the canned food (of course pay the difference). The lady working the register was unsure how to do this and called over another worker. This was fine.However, the lady who came to help did not seem too pleasant. Both of the ladies were “sighing” during the entire return process and acting if we were a bother. There was much tension in the room. This interaction was not pleasant and these two employees should be spoken with. We will be switching to a subscription raw dog food and using chewy for any other purchases.Please do better. There is no room for rude behavior, you never know what your clients are going through. Love this location, and on your lucky day, the person helping you will be Fen, parent to 18? year old cat Hobbs. Fen not Hobbs) helped me pick out a perfect crate for our Boston Bella (and put it together on the counter for me in two minutes—it would have taken me an hour). Full of kind, warm empathy and a great tho young life story, Fen remembers my name, Bella’s too, from memory. Never a wait at this clean, well-organized, convenient neighborhood store—a gem.

This is "our" Chuck & Don's. It's large enough to get around with one of their carts, we know and appreciate all the employees, and they seem to regularly have pretty decent deals! Especially if you're doing the buyers club for food/litter purchases. Two paws up!

I buy almost all of my dog’s needs at Chuck and Don’s on West Lake Street in Minneapolis. Their prices are usually better than Pet Smart and their service is very good. I especially want to call out the service I received from Kati today. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, sympathetic to my situation, and very friendly. In a world where many people in service positions are treated like they are a piece of furniture and hence tend to treat their customers the same way, Kati is a real stand out for her desire to help and problem solve with me. Thanks Kati!

This manager historically doesn't hire, retain, or create a healthy environment for BIPOC employees. If you are white, wealthy, liberal, and shop at Whole Foods across the street, this is the "local" pet shop for you. If you actually care about people of color and immigrants, find another place to do business.

We love shopping at Chuck & Don’s for our 4 pets’ needs. Their raw food is always in stock and it’s close to home so we can grab it frequently and shop online to pick up in store is so convenient and saves money too (10% off everything ya’ll)! Curbside pickup is so helpful for heavy bags of kibble or frozen raw or cat litter. And to top it all off, the team is so friendly and willing to help!!! If you are a ‘Friends of Chuck’ member, the points add up really quick for store credit (we almost always have a few more dollars off per visit). Next there is the ‘buy 12 get 13th free’ program for most food brands. We’ve done extensive price comparisons on all items we buy regularly and with the above perks taken into consideration, C&D wins the quality award and the price war 98% of the time! Shop local please, friends!
