Pickup Order was not ready in given time frame. No updates or notifs either. I also went here to see if they were hiring and was met with a rude and dismissive attitude by the lady there. The man at the cash register was very nice though. As others have noted, shelves are dirty and things blocking the aisles. Just don't bother and go to another dollar general.

Staff is great and generally a clean place to shop. However, after so many times of being over charged between .25-1.00 on most of my items and then being told "oh we just haven't changed tags" its no longer a place I can shop. Only 1 of my 16 items rang correctly. I now dispise this place and drive 15 minutes in the opposite direction just to not deal with it. I save money by driving further to not getting scammed by this joke of an establishment.

If I could put a negative I would. I was in town in June and brought one gallon water that said 1.50 was charged 1.65. came back to town in October same thing. Dawn dish soap said 1.00 was charged 1.25. a frozen item price said 6.75 was charged 8.25. I brought it to the cashier attention and all she said do you still want it. Everything I brought was higher than the price was listed. What else has a different price. I will never shop there again.

I am not sure what has been happening at the store in Milaca MN. Over the last several months the customer service has failed. The latest experience was very troubling. They had posted "special hours" yet again, today's special hours were that they were closing at 7pm. At 615pm I realized I needed cat food. So I thought I would go to the dollar store real quick before they closed to grab it. I arrived at the store about 635pm. As I walk up to the door I was "greeted" by the store employee who told me that they were closing VERY SOON, in what I felt was a snotty tone. Mind you I hadn't even gone into the store yet. I let her know that I was only there for 1 item and wouldn't be there very long at all, and asked her if that was OK. I am not even sure if she replied. Little did I know the reason she met me at the door is that she was locking the doors. I am not sure however I believe that it a fire safety concern to lock customers inside the store.I proceeded to the pet section and the pet food I usually get was not on the shelves (this is also a common occurrence lately even though they have posted special hours for sticking shelves) so I quickly chose a different kind so I leave before the employee got any more upset that she had customers. I proceeded to the checkout, the employee who had "greeted" me also had the opportunity to check me out. Unfortunately there was no change in her attitude, no thank you for shopping with us, no apology for making me feel that I was an inconvenience as a customer... nothing. She handed me my receipt and I asked if the receipt had the website or phone number for corporate so I could let them know of my experience this evening, she replied yes, and then stated that she had to unlock the door to let me out of the store. As we proceeded to the exit another customer was pulling in, I believe she noticed this as well, however the door was again locked right behind me. This new arrival was approaching the store entrance as I put the pet food in my vehicle, I advised her that the employee locked the door behind me and she responded its only 640pm, 20 minutes before they are supposed close. I felt sorry for this customer as she knocked on the door and was being ignored. I left the store before I could see if this customer was let it. This was a very very sad day for dollar general's customer service. I will not be returning to this dollar general location.

Everytime I go here, there is always shipment carts full of stuff in almost all the aisles. It was almost impossible to shop and find anything you are looking for because every aisle had at least one of those carts full of stuff. The staff isn't bad most days, but sometimes you are waiting for a long time for a staff member to see that you are waiting to check out. I wouldn't recommend shopping at this dollar general.

Love these guys. It got a little bit of everything. Good selection. Back to the store has great little selection of arts and crafts stuff for doing things with the kids like customizing their rooms. Eggnog a great selection of holiday decorations as well as great staff with good senses of humor.

Glad they're open until 9 again. Miss seeing the friendly guy. Employees seem to be turning over pretty quickly since he left- only a couple good ones left. Convenient place for a small town. Cheaper for many things like cereal, snacks & shoes. Some items, like cold groceries, are cheaper elsewhere in town. Almost nothing there that wasn't worth at least what I paid for it. More variety than other Dollar Generals I've seen. Almost unwalkable during clearance weekends, but those almost never happen and it's fairly tidy otherwise. They have a clothes section beyond socks & boxers (some don't.)Where are Boys shoes size 4-7 youth?!

Love the dollar general. Dog treats are cheap. The remodeled store layout is great. And they have fresh produce. Good 🍅+ mushrooms' ,little watermelons, huge new coolers. Isles are wider and much much easier to navigate.

DG is one of my most favorite stores! The employees are very friendly and helpful! Bonus... they got new cash registers that don't have all the issues the old ones had. I get a lot of good deals watching the clearance sections. I do not buy electronics from DG. Get on their app for coupons.

over the past couple years, shopping at the Milaca Dollar General has become almost impossible.Just this week, I made three trips. The first day was for three items, only found one.yet there were 29 merchedise carts full and blocking the isles. On my next visit, I found three of the five items i needed, 27 full carts blocking the isles. Today, Saturday, I found 1 of 2 items, and there were 34 carts full and blocking the isles, not to mention the stacks of unpacked boxes everywhere and garbage all over the place.The people running this store either need more help, or they need to be replaced.You cant make money if merchendise isn't available.

Staff have a poor teamwork skills. They were more interested in a manger that wasn't coming in to work today to close because the manager decided to work all day Christmas Eve. I only know this because they let everyone in the store know about this. Very unprofessional. Also waiting in a very long line to be asked if I was paying with Cash. I was not so the lady walked away. Another staff came over used the same register 10 minutes later and was ringing up people with cash and credit. I honestly have never had a good experience at this store I would rather drive 20 minutes to Walmart in Princeton because Everytime I go the Dollar General in Milaca I get reminded why I do go to Dollar General.

Possibly the worst dollar general I've shopped at! Nothing is organized and always strewn about. 9 times out of 10 they don't have what I am looking for in stock. Like how can the same item be out of stock for months at a time?? I get these are unprecedented times but this is not a new problem. Please get it together milaca DG!!!

Dollar general is a nice place to find cheap items that you have no need to go all the way to a superstore. The store here is pretty run down: Water damage in the ceiling, broken items, misplaced items, and there employees don't exactly follow the mask mandate how they should. Dollar general is not the place to go!

Convenient with great prices but many times they are out of what I am looking for. So not stocked well and sometimes messy but they have definitely gotten better than before. Allissa is a great staff member.

Been here quite a few times, metal carts with merchandise sitting on it, always sitting in aisles, numourous carts, with no one unpacking them, sitting there taking up isle space and it's hard to get the shopping cart down the aisles, plus while other people in isle, you have to wait till they are done to be able to get in isle. Either need to leave merchandise carts in back till ready to unpack as the store is just not big enough...Now posting 3 years later....After 3 years of my original posted review, im adding this...as I have stated, 3 years have gone by and other then the remodel, dollar general in milaca mn, has not changed!! With all the closings they have done in order to stock and get things completed, its still a mess, every isle is blocked, a person with a wheel chair or a walker, cane cannot get into these isles! They have handicap parking though! Seriously, how much time does a store of this size need to clean and get things organized!

They have the normal dollar store merchandise. The day that I went to the store the isles were packed with stuff that needed to be placed on the shelves. I'm not sure if this is normal but, it made it hard to use a cart. The staff is friendly enough but, they seem to be underemployed. Unfortunately, they may be having a hard time employing prospects because the individuals have to be 18 due to cigarette sales and if the wage is too low, it's hard to find an adult able to accept minimum wage.

Very nice but could use some help in putting the shipment on the shelf so aisles would be accessible. Made for very difficult to get down many aisles. Staff was very nice.

The cashier was SUPER FRIENDLY!!! I wasnt aware that Milaca had a Dollar General and I am SO happy they do. They had SO MUCH STUFF! I ended up getting some sandals and a cute swim suit for my boys. It was awesome.

I only go here for their $1 chocolate, which honestly is often out of stock. My boys like to buy Halo action figures here. The Milaca store is cluttered and disorganized, yet always busy (Milaca doesn't have a ton of shopping options, especially after 7 p.m.) I often spend 30 seconds shopping, then stand in line for 5 minutes. I do have to say, though, that the staff has always been friendly and willing to help.

Fairly well stocked and kind staff. Sometimes a bit understaffed and you end up in a line 4-5 people deep, but otherwise it’s a clean and reliable store to get the essentials.

A employee seen me come in the store and try to warm up my hands two nights in a row. She came up to me and asked me if I was okay, and if I was homeless. In all my 43 years of living on this earth has an employee come up to me randomly and asked basically if I needed any help. Cotos to you, caring citizen

Love that Dollar General is growing and adding stores everywhere. Most could be larger as stores are cramped inside. Prices are competitive on most items. In my experience milk is over priced there. All in all we like shopping at DG.

One of the best stocked and tidy DG stores I've been to in a while!! Cudos to the staff at this store... always a bargain with a great assortment of general use items. Love DG for all my household needs, stopped here for brake fluid when we were having car troubles, and sure enough there were 2 sizes available and it was the lowest price we found all weekend... ongoing challenges till we could get home to a mechanic. Thanks DG!

There are so many popping up there fun to stop at but wow they are like 10 miles from each other in every little town they have variety and are priced like family dollar they have good selection online which you can sh0p on line there is also a roller general coupon app there in store selection is a little limited and verys store to store

It had the items I needed plus some extra items I needed. I didn't relize they had them and that they costed less then what I paid at my regular store. That was nice.

This store is in some desperate need of some love. Always dirty, shelves mostly empty. Go down the road to Foley its like night and day.
