My son and I have been trying to get an aquarium up and running. We were able to get live plants for our aquarium. We have well water and trying to get it habitable for fish has been a process. We were there multiple times to have our water tested. Staff was knowledgeable as what we needed to do at each step. Offered products but were never pushy about. Barry also was very kind to my kids each time were in the store. My son is very happy with his fish

The thing I love the most about this place is that they will take the time to write down everything that you will need to know about whatever pet you decide on. Hunter is an amazing employee and stays focused on just you while you are there asking for info on the pet you are purchasing. He has so much knowledge on tortoises and he made sure I was comfortable with everything before leaving with my tortoise. The store is well laid out and they have a lot of different varieties of tanks and supplies. I’m so happy I was referred to them and will be a returning customer for many years to come.

A really neat store, a lot of products for exotics. Animals looked to be in really good shape from what I could see. I would go there more if I didn't live 2 hours away. I docked a star because there is a really strong ammonia smell

The owner was so incredibly kind and helpful with all of my questions and needs! I purchased a new fish tank for a very reasonable price and was guided in my purchases regarding decor, the correct fish food, etc. for that specific tank and the fish I plan to keep in it. Very knowledgeable and reliable, the store was clean and easy to navigate with SO many different kinds of animals and supplies to choose from. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit and/or to find and bring home your future pet!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The kids had a great time looking at all the different animals (snakes, birds, fish, bunnies, and guinea pigs). They were also able to pet the bunnies and feed some Koi fish. Picture of our aquarium with the Tetra Glofish we picked up today.

I was excited to see the live animals and make a few purchases. The moment I opened the door, I was overtaken by the horrendous smell and condition inside. I observed one staff, who was helping another customer. There were significant environmental concerns, including the condition of the aquariums. I got as far as 2 aisles, and had to leave because of the smell. It's a bummer because I drove an hour to visit the store, and stayed less than 2 minutes.

Animals are really poorly taken care of in this store to the point that i would never ever think of buying an animal from here. It's pretty sad browsing and seeing brown water that's days old and filled with dead bugs. Waste all over in the cages. All of the fish aquariums are extremely dirty as well as the reptiles. Food looks like it's been sitting for days if not weeks. Strong smell in the store. Reptiles are way overpriced. I'd look elsewhere for your needs.

Imagin sticking your face in a liter box that hasn't been cleaned out in weeks and that smell being burned in your nostrils!!! Pretty sure I wasn't in there even 2 minutes and I started to feel sick! The employee there tried placing blame on poor ventilation and I commented, "There's more to it than that." My daughter told me that he commented that the smell mostly is coming from the rabbits and that they clean the cages twice a week. Being a previous rabbit owner myself I can say for certain that twice a week is not near enough!!! Try daily. Maybe even a couple times a day to get that stench under control!!! How in the world this store is even allowed to remain open is quite a miracle! If it was possible give negative stars I would!

This place is absolutely disgusting!😡 the moment you walk in it smells horrid! The fish tanks were super dirty, the lizards had no water, and the leopard geckos had no source of light! One looked like it was dead or close, the rabbits were very warm and looked sick. This place is horrible! Please don’t buy from them!

I almost couldn't believe my eyes today at the absolutely horrendous animal display put on by Happy Tails at the SCFF.3 bearded dragons loose on a table, one grotesquely overweight as well as a Boa Constrictor with tons of open sores and wounds, ripped off scales, and what looked like burns. When I asked Barry what had happened to the animal assuming that it may be a rescue being used for educational purposes he blatantly and dismissively blamed the fair goers for petting the snake backwards. Here's a thought, if people can't responsibly touch the animal, don't have the animal out on display to be pet. Continuing to have that animal on display with open wounds for anyone to touch while you sit there with a smile and blame other people for its condition is the most disgusting, disturbing thing I have seen out of an "animal professional."A store I will never step foot in again.

EXTREMELY disappointed in this place! First of all bearded dragons are not supposed to be housed together because of aggression towards others, first thing you see is a good amount of adults bearded in the window with tortoises. Not only that but they had incorrect lighting which damages their bones and had absolutely NO water at all with no employee in sight.. DO BETTER! or don't run a pet store if you cannot treat animals right.

We had a GREAT experience at HAPPY Tails! We just lost our bunny and they helped us find a new one!! Our new Daisy Mum has helped heal our hearts!!! THANK YOU HAPPY TAILS!!!!

This place is a hidden gem! We went to Medford for the reptile zoo and I happened to walk passed Happy Tails while looking for the bathroom. I'm so happy I saw it because my family loved the store so much! The owners are so friendly and their dogs are super sweet. We will definitely be stopping in anytime we are in the area!

Very strong smell, they need some air purifiers going for sure. But as far as a pet store goes it wasn't too bad a place. Lots of fish, snakes, hamsters, etc. Staff seemed very knowledgeable and friendly.

The owner, Barry, is one of the most helpful pet store owners I have ever dealt with!! He will go out of his way to make sure I get a certain fish I want, or certain brand of dog food. He also will give me insider tips and tricks when it comes to fish care. Stuff he's tried that has either passed or failed, not to mention his prices are extremely fair. It's a massive step up from those big box pet stores. Super thankful our little town of Medford got Happy Tails! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. My daughter LOVES their YouTube channel! Visiting is like seeing a celebrity for her. Love our pet we purchased. Even the poor injured staff member thoroughly looked for a frog just for my daughter to see in its habitat to no avail. Very appreciated.

This store was filthy. Aquariums and terrariums were so filthy, and the smell of uncleaned cages hits you in the face as you walk in. Why are we cohabitating bearded dragons with tortoises? Bearded dragons shouldn't be together in a tank AT ALL once they grow passed the juvenile stage, let alone with other animals. The reptiles hardly have any hides, the fish hardly had any tank decorations, and some of the tanks were so thick with algae that you couldn't even see what was inside of them. I'm actually really sad and disapponted about the conditions of these poor animals. The small animal cages were filthy, too. Please please please do your research before putting animals with each other, and please put more effort into cleanliness. Not only does it make you look better, but these animals deserve to live in good quality homes before they're sold.

Great little pet store with a nice selection of animals that look well cared for. Prices are very reasonable too. The store greeters (The owners two dogs) are very prompt to welcome you into the store lol. The people working are very helpful and happy to answer questions. Will be back!

A great variety of animals, and amazing nice staff. I would highly recommend you buying a pet from here. I have 2 male betta fishes they are very pretty. Affordable prices as well! Overall I love it there. And YOU TOUCH THE BUNNYS!

The store was closed on Sunday and there were several lizzards and a turtle in the front window. Their water fish was bone dry and there was no apparent water source visible. Highly concerning for a pet store!

Wow. Walked in and walked out. I thought pet store, I could get dog toys. It's more of an exotic pet store. Change your name of your store. The smell was horrendous when I walked in.

Neat place, helpful staff, could have higher quality habitats for animals, and prices are higher than average for the small animals. Worth a visit to gauge for yourself.
