I've been going here since I was a kid. I love Spikes and Houles!Excellent place for feed and farm supplies. They provide top-notch service, high-quality products, and even some random gift items if you're in a pinch.This is the kind of small town store that makes you feel like a friend every time you go in. It's hard to find a place like this these days...Even if you don't need feed or farm supplies, check them out anyway for cute and unique gifts and garden supplies.

I take care of the public works for the city of Maple Plain and take all my stihl equipment to Swen, he always finds a solution and let’s me know better ways to use my equipment when he notices more ware on certain parts, I would safely point anybody’s stihl business his direction!

Swen was incredible! He was so thorough with my chain saw tune-up and then spent 15+ minutes with me when I picked it up to re-teach me how to start the machine and run it safely. He’s the best!!

Swen helped me purchase a Stihl telescoping trimmer and a backpack blower. Honestly, he could not have been more helpful. He was able to get a replacement blower to me in one day - which was super helpful. He was informative- knew everything about the equipment and took time to show me how to maintain them. He also said he was available for any questions and provided work/cell number for support. My husband and I will definitely go to him for future equipment!

Swen (Mark Swenberger) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my Stihl chainsaw repair issues. He took time to help work through possible causes for why my saw wasn't working, tested it for spark and gas quality, and showed me how to safely start it, guage the blade sharpness, and made various other recommendations. He was one of the best customer service representatives I have ever encountered. What a great resource to find for my Stihl tool repairs and maintenance!

It's a great feed and garden store. Really enjoyed the customer service and have lots of products on hand. Definitely recommend if you have chickens, pigs, horses, etc. They also have knick knacks and apparel. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're in the area

Swen is a Stihl master! I have used him for knowledge around operating & maintaining my Stihl chainsaw, weed whip and most recently an electric leaf blower. He takes the time to ensure you understand how to best operate each unit and does so with enthusiasm. He’s a wealth of knowledge.

Big fan of spikes. Best feature is they load bulk items for you (50 lbs corn, etc). You just pull up to the loading area and pop open your trunk/lift gate. Very nice. You won't get box store prices, but you will get far better service.

I didn't make a purchase on this particular visit, however they had all the information I needed regarding the individual Stihl chainsaws that I was looking into.A lot of shops aren't willing to give you the time of day, if they realize that you aren't making an immediate purchase, but this gentlemen had no problem finding the specific information I needed, without any negative facial expressions, or attitude.So, Thank You for that, and I will be returning!

The street parking makes for an annoying 1 way street. However this roadblock tactic seems to have stopped the monthly destruction of the divider sign. Good on you for removing hardware from the store's name.

I miss the ace that was here previously, but I do enjoy spike's for its own reasons too. It doesn't really have much as far as home supplies, but if you are looking for pet supplies (be it a dog or a horse), you will definitely find it here! It's also a great place to go for bird feed.

I shop at this store frequently to get feed and supplies for the horses and property that I manage. Staff always seems so confused when I come in to buy one of the Buckeye feeds and the warehouse workers are not friendly whatsoever. They tend to be pretty rude and disrespectful. Unfortunately it’s the only feed store in town and they do carry what we need and have a nice supply of horse equipment. I heard great things about UFC and am bummed it’s no longer the same ownership.
