Our 12-pound bichon poodle has been getting his hair cut at this Petco for a while now with no mention of any issues. We just tried to make an appointment to get his haircut again, and we found out that the groomer that had been doing his haircuts no longer works there.. which is fine. But then we're also told that our dog has shown his teeth during cuts and that it makes the groomers feel unsafe. This is certifiably insane as 1. They never mentioned this to us upon picking him up after previous cuts--we've literally been told he does great and 2. I have never seen my dog show his teeth. Like--they have our dog confused with another dog. What's worse is it took us forever to get someone here to call us back about our appointment requests.. like they were just going to ignore our calls. Exceptional display of professionalism...

I have called this location dozens of times, and they have made it clear they will not answer the phone. They are not busy with grooming, as the message says; they just let all calls go to voicemail. I have left probably half a dozen voicemails, and they will not return my call. The couple of times I've tried a walk-in for a nail trim (which their website says they accept...and actually recommends!) they said they didn't have the time, and that (get this!) I should CALL to make a nail appointment. It's literally impossible to get your dog's nails trimmed at this incredibly unprofessional groomer.

My wife took our border collie Lacey to Petco in Maple Grove and she loves going there she loves getting her hair done she loves the hair dryer in her face she is absolutely the most beautiful girl in the world and thank you

$86 for VIP and dog was still shedding a good amount of hair when we left. Brought it up to them and they didn't seem to care. That was the last time I'll bring my dog here.

There were a few spots where hair along a trimmed line was missed. Also, we have had results different than what we were expecting for grooming in the past at other places which I thought it was my fault for not communicating what our hopes were. When I dropped my dog off I was talking to the groomer about what we were hoping for, but she seemed offended so I didn't feel comfortable talking too much more about our desired haircut for our dog. Overall it seems like they did a great job aside from a spot along her belly near her back leg and a spot in the face framing in her neck hair. We would feel comfortable bringing her back to this Petco for grooming in the future!

Had a couple of okay experiences getting our girl's nails cut (they did the job while mostly not making her bleed). Then they cut us out because they decided they don't want to deal with blind dogs anymore. The lady who broke the news was so rude to us even though we just wanted a recommendation for someone else who would take her. Highly recommend going anywhere else!

I absolutely love Beth in grooming!!! She knows that my dog does not like her nails trimmed and doesn't like the blow dryer but she goes out of her way to make sure that my dog is as comfortable as possible. She actually shows that she cares about you and your dog! Even though Miss Chance isn't a fan I will keep driving past multiple groomers just to stay with her!!

Melissa was amazing with our three month old! She was calm and efficient and we couldn't believe how well puppy behaved for her. This was puppy's first grooming and we'll be back!

Beth and her team do a great job grooming Charlie. They really care about him and it shows by how excited he is to visit them. Beth makes sure we get what we want for a grooming. We had visited a number of different groomers in the past and were never satisfied with the job they did.

0 stars from me.I have 2 dogs I was hoping to get groomed here...one of my dogs is 5 lbs and I was told a regular cut was going to be $90...which is outgrageous considering I have never paid over $60 for my dog. And at Petco? No way. So after I told her to cancel that dog's appointment (because she said the cut itself was $90..), she was EXTREMELY unprofessional and cancelled my other dog's appointment saying she "didn't feel comfortable" grooming my other dog now. ALSO when I tried to book an appointment at a different Petco location right after this fiasco, I couldn't access online booking. Called customer service and found out that the groomer completely blocked me from Petco grooming....all because I was asking for an explanation of the $90 pricing...🙃 save your money and sanity, and go elsewhere. This was a terrible experience, and was right before the holidays so I was very upset. I also had my two dogs and two small children with me, which is chaos enough already.Update: I was able to get an appointment at a different Petco last minute (you have to book far out usually!) And that groomer said the Maple Grove location was trying to make me get the deshedding treatment (the Maple Grove groomer said the price wasn't including add-ons...) which 1) isn't a necessary service (so I should've been able to opt out of that) and 2) deshedding isn't something that my dog, considering it's breed and size, even needed. At a different Petco (10 minutes away) on the same day, I paid $60 per dog.So basically the Maple grove groomer was trying to make me pay way more for no reason & wouldn't explain why the price was so high. Again, go elsewhere.

Our dog Ivy was adopted by us and she was in a kill shelter before being rescued, that being said she is the most loving, sweetest and best dog I've ever owned! She's been with us for over 10 years and when we adopted her they gave a range of 1 to 3 years old when we got her. through the years she's developed arthritis in both back legs and is pretty slow and a little shakey now BUT the gal (Beth, Maple Grove MN store) that grooms Ivy treats her like a queen! Ivy has a double coat (part malamute) very dense and when she comes back from the salon she looks beautiful!!

The groomer took extra time and attention to make sure our dogs looked great. First time customers and found the store staff helpful, the store clean, and the prices fair. We won’t be going back to PetSmart or to another groomer. Impressed with this experience!

short staffed, 2.5 hour wait. I do not just drop and go, and made it clear I wanted to watch the process. The groomer did the whole process in back stating afterwards she did not want to move the dog.
