The staff here was great. My son fell in love with a guinea pig there that I guess had been there longer than they'd like him to be. It was so great how excited they all were for this guinea pig to finally be going home. They made this such a positive pet adoption experience for my son.

He was Rude as.always his store in the low community where he feels nobody has feeling been there 15 years it hasn't changed. It's my fault for going all these years but I've grown up today plus the meth head live next door in both directions ge don't contribute to that area hire people low class the Mexican and one white girl that left has been the best he ever had now look who he got a guy his teeth missing what happen to all the collage kids just asking never seen a woman a kid looking for her man they dad he always mad .

This is a very nice Petco.. Friendlyemployees..And a very nice selection of freshwater fish.. Picked up some Ember Tetras today..They had some really nice Cherry Barbs... but the Embers were too nice to pass up.. I recommend checking this store out...

I had an excellent experience with Jayme this morning. I had placed an online order, but ordered the wrong product. There were issues with having a receipt because of my payment method (PayPal) Jayme jumped through hoops and ladders to make sure I left with the products I needed. Exceptional customer service! These are the people who deserve recognition for how hard they work. Great service!

MY DAUGHTER AND HER BOYFRIEND DROPPED OFF THEIR POMERIAN FOR A TRIM ONLY AND WHEN THEY GOT HIM BACK , HE WAS SHAVED AND BALD IN SOME SPOTS. SHE ONLY WANTED HIM TRIMMED !!

I went into Mankato’s Petco grooming services, this was the first time I’ve brought my puppy into anywhere for services. I brought him there because he needed a hair cut and nails trimmed. I knew as a puppy it would be difficult which is why I d decided to pay for a service and not try to do it myself at home , thinking they would be trained and know what to do. That was not the case, they simply didn’t know how to cut a puppy’s hair when he was scared and of course as puppies do biting at the clippers. I thought they would have tools to help him cooperate or to just know what they are doing to get it done fast since he wasn’t going to like it.. but no they just skipped cutting his legs and his entire head. Yet they still charged me for the full service! Why did I pay for a service just to have to bring my puppy home and hold him down myself to cut his hair in order for him to stay cool and healthy this summer??!! I was so disappointed in not only the lack of service and experience but the lack of communication with me that they will not be able to complete the service if he is biting at the clippers and that they don’t have a mussel or any tools to use to get him through the processes safely!I will not be going back to petco for my grooming needs !

Very nice place every time been in there staff has been very great willing to help you. There are few things like my brand of dog food that I use that is cheaper elsewhere for same thing but I will be back there again. I enjoy it better than PetSmart

Great sales. Was in there again last week and want to say that the gentleman that helped me with some knowledge about fish, plants, aquarium toppers and just about everything else.... Thank you... If I wasn't in a hurry i would have spent hours in there listening to him.. somebody should give him a raise... Well done

Sales associate was quite fearful of the tarantula I purchased and had some extremely unsafe practices. It seemed as though he had never been trained on how to properly contain one as he even asked me "So do I just reach in and grab it or what?"At one point it started crawling out of the box and he started waving it around 4-5 feet off the ground where a fall would be deadly. He set the open box with the tarantula inside on top of the turtle tank which made me very uneasy.Maybe petco needs to go back to giving away the whole enclosure with invertebrates if they don't want to properly train their employees to handle them safely.

Will not book here again. Drove an hour for our grooming appointment only to be turned away because my dog had a couple mats. Since when do dog groomers not deal with mats? I even checked a box when filling out the forms stating she has them. Don't allow someone to book an appt. If you can't do mats. Poor poor customer service.

Tiger Lily loves coming to the groomers to either get her nails done or her biannual bath and deshedding treatment. Groomers are friendly and are like family and know you by name when you walk in. Prices are pretty decent also.

I dropped my dog off for grooming and he was a little shy and scared (as most are). We arrived 15 minutes early, I’ll admit— it was early but they didn’t look busy. I asked if it was okay and if it wasn’t, we could wait until our scheduled time. The girl at the desk seemed very inconvenienced by us showing up early but let us come in anyways. We dropped my dog off, I’m probably being picky but he had a harness with a handle but she used the slip leash and dragged him by his neck… But he went to the back on his own once inside of the gate and we left for two hours.We didn’t realize anything was wrong until we got home, his paw pads were not shaved (they are long and needed to be shaved), his nails weren’t all trimmed (1 out of 4 nails were trimmed on a paw— they are long, they all needed to be trimmed), teeth weren’t brushed. Now I get it, if my dog didn’t let them— just tell me! They acted like they did everything!! I really don’t think they cared about my dog at all or took any time with him. Now he’s been fine with his vet and his other groomer (she was booked that’s why we came here). But when we picked him up and got home, he hid from us for 4+ hours and was wary on touch for a while longer. He’s been a bit off ever since. I’ve been speaking with others, it seems like Petco is hanging on by a thread because they can’t keep employees and the manager is extremely rude. If you need to go to a store, go to Pet Expo or PetSmart! Do not shop here unless it’s a last, last resort.

I went to PetCo yesterday to get set up with a betta fish, all the things, because the website showed which varieties they carried. The cups of bettas looked reasonably taken care of, but the rest of the fish tanks were a mess. The smell hit you before you even entered the area, the pre-packed aquatic plans were dead in an unlit corner, the tanks’ water looked ok, but the exteriors were messy and dirty. To top it all off, myself and few other people were looking at the fish and wanting to make selections but no one came over in the 30+ minutes I was there. I know there’s a staffing shortage everywhere, so that one’s doesn’t super bother me, and the staff I did see was very nice and looked extremely busy. I ended up going else where.

The store was clean. They had a limited selection of high quality products. 3 stars only due to the elderly woman helping me poor oral hygiene and smelled very strongly of tobacco very off putting to say in the least. Other than her the other employees were very knowledgeable!

Shows online they have certain cat foods. I go into the store and look around for several minutes by myself without being asked if I need any assistance. After being unable to find the food in the store it says they have in stick online, I go seek assistance. The person that is assisting me can not locate the food either, so she asks the "manager" who replies with, "well, if you don't see it in the store its only for sale online." I tell her "online it says its in stock in the store." She says, "well, if it's available online, why don't you just go home and order it online!" Um, excuse me, what?! I was so flabbergasted at that, I just walked out of the store before I made a scene. Horrible customer service by the management!! At least the first lady admitted she was unsure and at least tried to do the right thing.

I like that I am able to bring my pup inside to shop. Good selection, I just wish they weren't priced a couple of bucks higher on everything. It adds up after a while.

Very helpfull and store was very clean. I was there very close to closing but they still were very helpful and not pushy to rush me out the door. It's great to see employees are still helpful like this in a time were customer service has become quite the opposite. Way to go petco for finding employees that care about your customers still!!

Went to buy some cat food this morning. Waited 5 minutes or so for an employee to even notice I was ready to pay for my stuff. No one came over so left the cat foods at the counter and went somewhere else. Is anyone even employed there?

When we went in to get fish we were greeted very politely . The manager herself helped us get the fish we wanted and looked up information about another fish that did not suit our needs for the size fish tank that we have. It would of grown to big for the tank we have. I appreciate the fact that she took the time to look up how big the fish would get so we did not have a problem down the road with a fish that's to big for a 20 gallon tank and having to decide between killing a fish or getting a bigger tank. She was Very helpful and polite.

The clerk didn't know what the heck he was doing. The prices were wrong ...I donated 20.00 was supposed to get a free gift, he didn't acknowledge. I had to tell him! Still didn't know what was going on. Then I'm ready to leave and realize that he didn't bag one of my items, when I went to grab it he said" uh...I didn't ring that up" I will gladly stick with Petsmart as this has happened multiple times!
