MVPH has always been great to us. They respond to all emails quickly, even questions for the vets themselves. We recently had a scary issue and they handled our concerns and anxieties (and extra phone calls) so well. I was quite surprised to find the meds for this chronic issue are all reasonably priced, and kept in stock at the clinic. They also gave my son a little gift one day when he had to tag along. I'd give more stars if I could!

Love this place. Had to take my poor baby girl in for her bad cough that developed overnight and they were very quick and friendly! Explained everything to me thoroughly and gave me the medicine needed to help with her healing and throwing up. I never really write reviews but the process of the whole ordeal was smooth and the staff were helpful, which calmed me down. Plus the end bill didn't cost me an arm and a leg! My puppy is finally sleeping soundly thanks to them 😊

I had to take my cat to the vet because she was sneezing all the time and had stuff coming out of her eye. She's 16yrs old and I was really worried about her. They were so nice and knowledgeable. The vet techs and the vet herself were all so gentle and loving with my cat. I could tell that they all really cared about animals and loved what they do for a living.

These people are truly the best. They walk you through everything and are always kind, plus they don't overcharge for special foods or services. My cats even like some of the vets and techs. This is the best place for pets around. 🖤🖤🖤

They are the best. We have received thorough, empathetic care from all of their staff on every visit. This year they probably saved my dog's life when they found a mass cell tumor in his leg. They impressed me yet again today by squeezing him in to treat his ripped dewclaw. I will be forever grateful for the help I have received. AND their pricing is affordable, which is appreciated by this first-year public school teacher!THANK YOU MN VALLEY ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!

We moved from Oklahoma to Minnesota July of 2021 and I can't say enough good things about MVPH. Dr. Ambrose is hands down the best vet we have ever been to. It amazes me how he can draw blood by himself with one hand. He is so calm and amazing with our three pups. He caught lymphoma early in one of our pups and has provided supportive care throughout the entire treatment process. I love how I can send text messages and the staff are so friendly and prompt to respond. We honestly decided to stay in the Mankato area because of MVPH when faced with the decision of where to take a job and settle down as my husband approaches the end of his medical training. We are so grateful for such a wonderful vet practice!

What a great first vet experience for my new pup, Lucy! Everyone at MVPH is so kind and helpful, made Lucy feel right at ease; the vet who saw us (sorry, I don't recall her name!) was very thorough, considerate and answered all my concerns, as were all the technicians we encountered. Reasonable fees—GREATLY appreciated the first months' flea&tick/heart worm medications!

I was just in for a basic checkup and they seemed to want to get me in and out as quickly as possible. The vet hardly asked any questions about my dog to get to know about him. I understand he didn't have any concerning issues, but vets usually ask at least a bit more to get to know them as a patient. It seemed like they really didn't care. They then took my dog to the back "for his blood draw," but apparently did his entire exam back there. It was very odd compared to my prior experience with vets for them to take him away for the full exam instead of doing it in front of me to discuss things as they go. I had asked about some itching, and they also shaved off a patch of his fur while he was in the back. It seemed really strange that they didn't ask or at least mention that to me before doing it, since I was right there with him. It makes me wonder what else goes on "in the back" and makes me uneasy leaving him in their hands.I'd like a vet I can establish a relationship of trust with so I feel confident taking my dog in if he develops a serious problem. I don't think I'll be back.Also - I was upcharged extremely high for the flea/tick medicine. It's my own fault for not checking the average prices beforehand, but I wanted to make other people aware before they fall for it too.

This was my 1st time with this vet place and it will be my last.I was on my way to my 1st appt and was running 10 minutes late as my job is at a call center and I live in Waterville. I called and told them that I'm literally 1/2 a mile from the them and I get "sorry, the vet needs the whole time,. you're going to have to reschedule"Not a good first impression. So if you have a demanding job and live a distance away and don't want to waste your time and gas getting a "sorry you're going to have to reschedule" because there just not compassionate enough that you took time off to come see them I suggest looking for a different vet. If there compassionate enough for me then I can not trust them with my furbaby. Beware!

My best buddy Odin loves the staff here. They know my pets as soon as they see them and that's very important and makes you feel good. Like your fur baby is going to be treated professionally but also like one of their own.

Everyone there, from the doctors to the assistants are absolutely WONDERFUL and I would not take Oliver to anyone else for his healthcare needs!! I recommend you to EVERYONE that talks to us about Oliver, (which is alot because of his size and breed) and I cant thank you enough for caring so much about helping us to make sure we have him around for a VERY LONG time!! My 2 kitties are life long patient's of Dr. Berndt. If necessary we'll see other vets at the clinic because they're all great. I love the way they all oooh and ahhhh over my calico Gabby and my big floofy orange and white Mr Izzy. The prices are very affordable which is important since I am on disability.

My elder dog had seizures on a Friday. He had them for over 10 minutes. I called this “vet” and asked if I could bring him in. I knew it was a bad one and I wanted to bring him in to have him put down. They asked if I went there already, I said no. They said they weren’t taking any new clients. I said you don’t understand, he is suffering and I want to have him out down. I was told they weren’t taking any new clients and that I would have to wait for a local vet to open on Saturday. We ended up staying up with him all night as he was almost paralyzed and obviously afraid. On that saturday we went to the vet in mapleton….. they are amazing by the way. I would never go to this place as they obviously don’t give a damn about dogs with emergencies unless they are a current client. Hard pass on this place.

Growing up on a farm, we didn’t always take the best care of our pets. MVPH doesn’t judge anyone on their lack of knowledge or understanding. They help educate you on what your pet needs. I also never trusted the small town vets where I’ve had so many horrible experiences. This vet clinic is by far the best. Their staff gives all the pets so much patience and love when they’re in their care. I only have good things to stay about the clinic. I recommend them to everyone that has a pet.
