Earthrise is a full sensory environment. It has animals, a yurt in the woods with heat and air conditioning for comfortable accommodations , a schoolhouse for learning and classes, hospitality, wonderful flavors from the seasons, and two wonderful sister sisters from the School Sisters of Notre Dame! It was so special for me to spend time there. Many opportunities abound for exploration of the farm, organtic crop raising, town, and animal husbandry. One class that really stood out to me was the pizza garden. This gave children the opportunity to not only understand where some of their food came from, but the chance to see food in its natural environment. What a great place to reconnect with nature and/or for your family to enjoy each other.

These ladies,have done a marvelous job with interpretive presentations of farming and land use. Great for both adult and children. Learn what to plant and do an all natural way of (organic) growing and processing. animals are great to watch, especially if you get there in the spring and watch them grow over time. They are a nonprofit organization teaching about organic farming, animal raising. They could really use your help, either donating time or money to keep this operation going.They also have an old school house that can be used for meetings and gatherings. You really just need to go and visit them and see what they all do.

We had an extraordinary experience at Earth Rice Farms. It’s a beautiful environment and the people were extraordinarily kind and open hearted. We had such a great time, that we bought our own Yurt just to have a little bit of earth Rice Farms for our self. Highly recommended
