This Campground had all the things we needed. We went in the fall so it was real quiet while we were there. I can't speak to the bathrooms; we didn't use them or see them. The sights were super nice, you can buy wood, nice firepits, etc. Nice beach and great walking trails. They had a cool suspended chain bridge we walked across. Nice beach-water quality was iffy though-invasive species of sort (well marked as such). Overall a great experience for our needs.Playground: 2 playgrounds, super nicePicnic area: Covered picnic area

Great campground with very clean showers and flush toilets. Water at the campsites smelled a little funky but sites are otherwise great. There are gravel parking pads with grassy areas in between each site, some on the backside have a decent amount of "backyard" too. There are lots of nice tent sites kind of tucked away from everyone else. Down at the waters edge is a really spacious park and beach area. The boat landing is double ramped and has lots of parking for trailers. Overall a beautiful park and definitely worth checking out.

Nice beach to hang out at. Not happy that people tend to litter everywhere but it's alright. Water was warm and perfect at this time of the year. Lot of sun with grills all over the place. Family friendly. Would come here again. Recommended for fishing and other fun beach activities.

Love this place. Wish they had a small fenced in area for pets to be off leash. Nice paved hiking trails, cool bridge!Playground: Multiple playgrounds. Lots of space for kids to run with a huge central field so you can watch them from a farDog-friendliness: My dog had lots of fun!

Nice place on the lake, but trees block the view. Mosquitoes were terrible on site 13. Bathroom was a bit of a walk...had to take the road so as not to anger the swarms of mosquitoes waiting to devour us. Bathrooms were clean, but no outside water to fill containers. Where we were was very quiet...only 3 of us camped along the lake. Woke up at 2:00 AM and had an owl sitting on our site sign.

2023.08 The playground was gone and under construction. They had just laid the concrete sidewalk. The beach is really rocky, so pack water shoes. Fortunately, the volleyball court has fine sand to play if it's not burning hot. Be mindful if you're packing a lot for the beach and pulling a wagon or stroller, there's no accessible pathway from the parking lot to the beach. The sheltered picnic area has three separated patios, but they all connect via stairs through one entryway. Not stroller or wheel friendly. The restrooms were clean and available when we visited.Signs say no dogs allowed, but visitors brought their leashed dogs to walk and swim.Rentals are available as well as a snack bar.No lifeguard was on duty or enforcement.Have fun!

Great little hidden gem. Prices were a tad higher than others nearby but it's got nice big sites, a great beach and the guy running it is great as well!

My wife and I first came here last year late in the season to camp. This year we had our family down on 3 seperate camper sites. It has always been a nice quiet and relaxing park. We have another 3 weekends booked already for this year.

Was here camping for work, Rick is the nicest person ever. Nothing but nice things to say about him and the campground. Easy lake access, everything is clean and well kept. Will be back sometime on personal time for sure.

We camp here all the time. Very easy website to use to schedule your spot and pay. They make trips by the campsites often and bring wood to your site as u need it. Nice beach, shower house is decent and clean. Lots of kids usually so your kids won't be bored.

The campground was decent. Would be nice if there were tent sites with water and electricity. Seemed pretty well groomed and maintained. The caretaker, Rick, was very nice and accommodating! Not at all impressed with the lake. The water was brown and there was a lot of weeds washed up that were not raked away. I guess I am just used to northern MN beaches and lakes being clean and clear. Not sure if we would go back.

It's a clean and nice place to visit. Would like to launch your boat over there if it's close to our favorite fishing spot.

Very disappointed about no water at the dump station and no heads-up of no water (it was shut off). The layout for hooking up power was inconvenient. Water hook up was a "garden hose" also not convenient. Have a 25 ft hose that almost didn't reach because of how we had to park to use our 30 ft power cord.It is a beautiful area. And the green space for family games was very large allowing many families lots of space to use it simultaneously.

This is a great beach and park. There is a nice little playground for the kids, a sand volleyball court, a very nice pavilion with picnic tables inside and out. The beach is sandy. There is a rock line at the edge of the water, but once you get through it the bottom is much more sandy than the rest of the lake. We don't even bother swimming off the end of our dock, it is so mucky.

Nice place I would recommend it it was clean friendly people about the only thing I would knock it for is you really can't walk to the lake from your campsite it's kind of on a cliff you have to drive for a walk to the beach but bathrooms are clean check-in was friendly would recommend it

The setting is beautiful and sites are spaced to give some room between campers. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved it here and will return.

This was our “maiden voyage” with our new camper and we had the best time. The campground is extremely nice and well-kept. The person who runs the place (Rick I think) is extremely kind. The moment you ask for anything or have any need he is quick to it and willing. The beach is a short walk or drive from every spot and there are plenty of parks. Everyone was great about social distancing.

Very nice facility. Boat ramp and boat trailer parking could be a little larger. My 21 ft boat is really tight.

This place was very nice. We stayed in the Camper Campground area. There was a nice big grassy field in the middle with a very nice playground. The camper areas each have their own fire pits and enough room for some yard games. There is an area where you can walk down to the lake by the campers. As well as a beach access area a little farther down. It was very busy, but it didn't feel crowded.

Very nice park and campground and fishing spot. But no storm shelter. I was there during a bad storm so it was a little scary

It's always so busy and smells. If you have kids, then this is a great place because of the beach. But if you are just looking for a place to camp and relax, this isn't it. The bathrooms are always gross, which isn't really the grounds keeper fault. There is always just so many people that use them that they can't stay clean.

This park is very clean and beautiful. This gorgeous place is a great place to watch the sunset (look at the pictures I posted). We had a gathering around 30 people and it was a perfect location. You can swim, grill, play beach volleyball and many more things. Parking is great and the place is free.

We had a great campsite. The campgrounds were well kept, the bathrooms were clean. Unfortunately the lake was green and made swimming very uninviting. We went into town and used the pool.

This park is a popular beach on Madison Lake that offers many things to do for various age groups. For kids, it has a large playground set and a roped off swimming area.. Changing rooms and restrooms are near the multiple shelters and picnic tables. Campgrounds are an easy walk from the beach. Water access and docks in good condition. The only downside for families is this can be a very busy place and a college age hot spot.

Bathrooms are 300 feet from boat launch! No garbage cans next to temporary restrooms! Otherwise a very clean shady park near dock.

This is a great family park. There's a giant open area for the kids to run and play. It also has a decent playground. That being said, there is no privacy between campsites whatsoever. If that's important to you, this park might be a deal breaker. Even with that, we enjoyed our time.
