The calamari was excellent!! The wings were very good. The Flatbread was not as good. We did take it home but I'm not sure if my friend finished it. Something was missing. The atmosphere and the house wine were nice.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill, modern/rustic, the staff are professional and friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and the Chef's did a nice job plating. Food is very good, serving some classics with updated twists, and what you receive with their prices is on point. Next time we are in town, we WILL be back! Great job and THANK YOU!

Mixed reviews: Beautiful location. Music was loud classic rock (with lots of guitar solos) -- not good conversation music.Service was friendly, but it was super slow. (15 minutes waiting to take order, another 30 minutes for food with few check backs). Some of the food was really good, but most was par or below and not worth the cost. Fries were cold and chewy (had to ask for new ones - which were good when fresh), chicken salad good, brisket for salad had giant chunks of fat, horseradish sauce on the brisket pizza didn't work for us, portion size on Asian stir fry was small and the tofu was cooked to a jerky like texture. We were there for a Saturday lunch. We'll be back to try again and I'll be sure to update.

Simply the best. Wonderful atmosphere great staff live music on occasion and the wife stated the best salad she has ever had. Now that's saying something. Large portions and local brews. The flavors in ther food and the homage dessert make sterling's a place worth traveling to experience. Grand stay hotel take 16 brewery a nnn CD sterlings for the best night away in southern MN.

What a beautiful building inside and out. The food was amazing and priced right. We had the owner as our server and he was a very affable professional guy! There was a small mistake in our order and he made it right and let me keep the extra food that I hadn't ordered for no extra cost. I also appreciated how they had alot of historical photos in one of the hallways leading to the restrooms that showed the building and local area history. I can't find a fault in the place.

We got the butternut squash ravioli with shrimp and the chicken breast. The food was well seasoned and made very well. The wait was not long and the servers are friendly. Atmosphere is very nice, like a diner. Also they have good fries

Always a wonderful experience. Top notch food and relaxed atmosphere. Still my favorite place to take the wife to dinner. Always something new on the menu. Still have never been disappointed.Dietary restrictions: Several good gluten free options.

Great food, unique menu, classy yet casual atmosphere, and experienced service with adequate prices. We reminisced over dinner celebrating our fifteenth anniversary and appreciated our perfect choice of restaurants for this venue.I must mention that they have the best fries I've ever had: Maybe blanched? then fried in really hot, clean oil which gives each fry a light, crystallized, crispy coating to savor before the warm and tender potato center melts in my mouth. We've already decided to revisit on the next birthday even before I won a $10 gift card for my evaluation of an awesome medium rare California Burger that included egg and fried avocado in a smooth, toasted, warm, and fresh bun. They also had quick refills on great coffee. Excellent place!!

Sterling’s Cafe & Grill offers an extensive menu, good service and a groovy setting. Their stone building stands across the street from Luverne’s famous Palace Theater. You can’t miss it. There is a sidewalk patio out front but it was hot on our last visit so we sat inside. Our group tried the Southwest Breaded Avocado wraps and everyone was happy with their choices. No one wanted to share! The special I ordered (KC Melt) was recommended by our server. I asked for their honey balsamic coleslaw as my side and found it to be very good. Next time you travel west or east on I-90 take a break in Luverne at Sterling’s Cafe & Grill. Turn north at the US 75 exit and then east on Main St.

We had a table for 8 for supper. The waitress was really friendly and gave us great service. All the meals were cooked properly and presented nicely. We ordered the sample platter and passed it around 3 or 4 times. French dips, burgers, pastas, steak and salad were all great.Parking: Parking is street parking. We arrived at 5:45 and 95% of the street parking was taken. For elderly guests it would mean at least a block walk to the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: One of our party uses a wheelchair. The restaurant had ample room for him to navigate to our table.

Had an amazing lunch at Sterlings! Don’t underestimate this small town restaurant. The food is top notch. Enjoyed the best fried chicken sandwich with bacon jam. I was also impressed with their willingness and knowledge on how to accommodate my kids with allergies… gluten free and soy free can be tough.

At first I was disappointed that I didn’t find anything on the menu that was yummy but healthy. All the chicken dishes had cheese, except a simple grilled chicken. Then I was trying not to eat too much, but the French Dip was the best I’ve ever had. And the sweet potato fries were nice and thin and a little crispy. It was hard to stop eating! Smaller portions would have been appreciated.

We never expected to find such a gem in this small town. The smoky Gouda crab dip was amazing. The bacon wrapped pork tenderloins were cooked perfectly. My husband is gluten free and they knew what was in each dish. Great food, great staff. Jennifer our server was a delight.

Food was ok, waitress was great for being so stressed. However the gentlemen (term used lightly) when we walked in was rude, grumbling and muttering things that our whole party of 12 could hear that were very unprofessional. Then told the waitress that 'they can wait' even tho according to their website they were open @5pm on a Saturday he stated we couldn't order food until 5:30.
