Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. Pool and hot tub are available, but we didn't use them. The breakfast has several options and they do provide some hot foods, which change every day. Won't hesitate to stay here again if I come to the area again.Rooms: Very clean and smoke free. Comfortable beds and pillows. They provide small bottles of Bath and Body Works hair soap, conditioner and lotion. The hand and body soap is your basic bar soap. These were all fine, I do really like when hotels use the larger bottles installed in the shower, but you can always ask for more if you need it from the very helpful staff here.

super clean, acceptable rates, great environment! Might I even say this place was a grand place to stay the night! Friendly staff, and Dog friendly! (bonus) great little breakfast included! We have decided this will be our regular overnight stop every trip out west!Nearby activities: great little brewery just down the road a piece. super friendly service, outstanding brews!! And the bar just across the overpass, phenomenal pizza! OMG.

Been staying here regularly during holidays now when visiting family in the area as our family has grown and too big for 1 house with everyone else. It's a dog friendly place which is greatly appreciated and makes traveling easier. We pretty much are only here for sleeping and off to family shortly after breakfast until bed time. The breakfast is just right with enough options for everyone with a rotating main item each day. There is a pool which is nice. The kids love it but unfortunately we usually underutilize it since we are not around during the day. The rooms are good, clean, and of course suites really help with 3 kids when we use one of those.I do have to say we appreciate the staff, they are always understanding and helpful when we need it. When you travel with younger children incidents, are bound to happen at any time of day of various circumstances and no matter the scenarios that have happened over the years the staff has been there for us. Thank you!

Friendly staff. Hotel is well kept and clean. Room was a king suite with a full sized fridge and cook top. Very comfortable for our family of 4. They have a very nice and warm pool and hottub facility. A little pricey, but worth it if you're staying in Luverne.Rooms: Well kept and clean.Walkability: Several dining and beverage options within walking distance.Food & drinks: Breakfast was okay, normal hotel fare.

The rooms were clean but not very soundproof. We were near the lobby and could hear quite a bit of the activity. The pool and hot tub are a nice amenity.

Rooms are comfortably spaced. Lobby, grounds, and rooms are well maintained. The cleaning staff was awesome and friendly. Beds could use an upgrade - seems thin, overly used, and hard. I would give the rating a 4.5 or 4.4 due to beds only, but overall the stay exceeded my expectations.Rooms: Great to have fridge and microwave in rooms.

If you're going to stay at a hotel in Luverne, I would definitely recommend this one. I do think they could pay their employees more. I overhear a man say he could not afford daycare.Nearby activities: Those Blasted things!!Blue mound State Park!JJ'sLuverne CampgroundThe Lake!Touch the sky Prairie!!Secret nature spots that are indescribable! Clean rooms and clean facilities. Complementary breakfast was excellent. Comfortable and well equipped for all our family members in town for a reunion. Only minor issue. Room service was not provided us the entire stay. That is acceptable and understandable IF we are communicated to and additional towels and coffee should be left in the room.Noteworthy details: Nice facility, from clean and comfortable rooms to the pool to the breakfast area and quality breakfast foods available.

We stayed in a second floor suite. It was quite large, but could use some work. The corners in the bathroom need cleaning, and the rusty grate in the shower should be replaced. There was a single drinking glass, no wine glasses, a single fry pan, no saucepans, and no serving dishes in the kitchen. Comfortable bed. The bbq grill and picnic tables outside were a nice touch. All the carpeting in the place could use a good scrub. We made use of the loaner bikes, although they are single speed with coaster brakes--steep learning curve!

The carpet in the hallways were gross. They were really stained and in some cases looked like there was either animal or human vomit next to room doors. The breakfast also wasn't "grand." The staff was friendly and the individual room was fine. The pool and hot tub were also nice. Just felt the hotel was over-priced for the quality.Nearby activities: Luverne, MN was a surprising "find." We stayed at this hotel to be near State Parks, but the downtown was very quaint and we really enjoyed the Verne Drive-In Movie Theater.

Luverne Minnesota Grand Stay is the best. From the manager to the front desk, to the cleaning staff. They were eager to help anyway they could. The room was perfect for my handicap husband. It is the only motel that we have stayed at that didn't make us feel like we were in a closet. Our schedule kept changing and they were great about rolling with the change. The pizza is awesome.Walkability: Easy for wheelchair and scooterFood & drinks: That was the best pizza I have ever eaten

Service was excelent, very nice staff, very respectful and noticing. One thing I enjoyed about the rooms were the fact that: 1. The beds were VERY comfortable, the sheets were perfectly clean. 2. The two blankets made it nice and warm. The location is near a resturaunt, a gas station, and fast food. Great for personal needs. The pool itself was great, very nice. The hottub is the perfect tempature, doesn't really make you sweat.-The reason why it's a four instead of a five is that I saw a grasshopper crawl into your water ducts in the pool area.

We have stayed here a few times. On google maps this place is listed as only a 2 star hotel. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our experience shows that it is a strong 4 star hotel. The only two things lacking were: there was no fan/vent in the bathroom. (Sometimes when staying it has been a little damp but dehumidifiers in room took care of it. It wasn't damp this year.) Also there needs to be instructions on how to work the TV. and a list of stations/ programming available in each room. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The breakfast, pool, and hot tub always have been top notch. Comfortable beds. Great night's sleep. Good prices. Will definitely stay again.

Pool was amazing-very large, clean. Pool area had wallpaper for some reason which obviously was peeling due to humidity. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable, very hard and could feel springs. Complimentary breakfast was solid.Rooms: Bed was very hard, uncomfortable.Nearby activities: Check out the Those Blasted Things, hilarious little tourist shop.

The GrandStay Hotel is not grand at all.Our room smelled musty. The air conditioner is so old it couldn't keep up with the humidity or keep the room cool and this was in August. The ice machine was broken and no one seemed to care. The smokers had a table right outside the front door and the air conditioner pulled in air from outside, smh. Perhaps that is why the rooms smelled musty but also a very faint sent of smoke. I reserved on a travel site and had to pay a the hotel, but upon arrival, there is a note on the counter that states if you pay with debit card the amount charged will be double and will sit in your bank for 10 to 14 business days. No where did it say when I reserved my room that this was the case. A lot of people reserve with their credit card and pay with debit. Who would want a double charge on their bank account while on vacation!! It would have been close to $1000. A truly horrible way to do business.I would never stay here again. One of the worsts hotels I've ever stayed in. Should be called MediocreStay.

Hotel rooms are EXTREMELY MOIST. Every single one of the rooms we have stayed in have felt damp. Our sheets and floor feel wet ac/heat doesnt help control any of that.Ice machine is currently down and front desk could of done a better job of informing guests of this. Our first room had dirty sheets and the front desk agent Katie was helpful and got us into another room right away.I have been staying here for years when we come to visit family. Its a good location and the better option in town for our family to stay. Pool is always clean and breakfast is pretty decent. The moisture issue has been mentioned before in the reviews, hoping that the hotel company can figure out what is going on.Rooms: Good size beds and bathrooms.Noteworthy details: Moisture issues and a very strong "basement smell"

Good stay overall. Good breakfast because staff kept replenishing items. Decent pool & jacuzzi. However maid services needs to be more thorough, didn't vacuum and the room needs atleast an air vent/exhaust fan in the bathroom so the room wouldn't feel thick musty. The windows were screwed in shut too I noticed. The parking and room was spacious. Staff customer service was about B grade. I'd definitely visit again. Probably the best hotel in Luverne! And I must say, the most comfortable pillows everrrr are found here!
