Not the greatest for the price we paid and here's why:* All of the locks didn't work on any of the interior doors (bathroom included)* No window covers in majority of the rooms and bedrooms* No patio and deck door blinds* The heat was constantly on for 2 small bed rooms on the 2nd floor so it made it too hot to sleep comfortably. The thermostats were broken or didn't work.* Smallest 2.5 cu-ft refrigerator is located on the 3rd floor with the commercial size kitchen (which makes no sense) and the attached freezer wasn't cold enough to keep our frozen food frozen, while the largest refrigerator was on the 2nd floor with no kitchen.* The deck door to the outdoor grill was hard to open and close.* Flies were everywhere inside.* The 1st floor bathroom is located between the 2nd living space, kitchen and bedroom so it had 2 doors, one was a sliding door and the other was an actual door. None of the doors had a lock or working lock and it was the main entrance that connected the 2nd living space, bedroom and kitchen to the rooms in the house.On the brightside, the view is awesome, location is close to other outdoor activities and hiking trails, nice setup for beds and bedrooms with fluffy pillows, the commercial size kitchen on the 3rd floor was spacious with comfortable chairs for family breakfast, lunch and dinners, and the mortal kombat mini arcade was entertaining.

We went up north to the cabin and were pleasantly surprised how spacious it is. Not only the house itself, but due to the 360 window view on the upper floor, the surrounding made it appear like you live right in nature. All the appliances we needed for our well being and cooking were there. We especially appreciated the dishwasher. But it’s safe to say the beds were one of the most comfortable ones we’ve ever slept in! Hands down!! You are also able to see the sunrise above Lake Superior from your bed, what more can you wish for?The towns, general stores and sights are close by, as well as the hiking availability gives you plenty of things to do outside as well. We can highly recommend staying at Mitch and Mackenzie’s cabin if you want to have a great time with your friends and family by the north shore.

We were the first family to stay at this new offering! We loved the third floor with it’s amazing windows facing each direction. The natural light shone beautifully on the hard wood floors. It’s like being in a very fancy tree house. I rolled my yoga mat out on the third floor deck in the morning and sipped coffee while gazing at Lake Superior and listening to the rush of Poplar River nearby.The beds are super comfy and soft with high quality sheets. There is plenty of space for a large gathering to spread out and still feel like you have privacy throughout the three floors. Three great bathrooms; the primary bath has a cute slipper tub with a view of the lake. Tons of counter space in the kitchen with a chef-quality gas stove. There are three garage stalls with tuck-under parking and a dedicated laundry room on the first floor.We didn’t realize how beauty the night sky can be without light pollution! I think we saw all the constellations!You can walk to a winery and are super close to Cascade State Park for hiking. We love grocery shopping at the Cook County Whole Foods Co-op in nearby Grand Marais, however, the Clearview General Store in Lutsen is under 3 miles away and has a great selection too!We’re not golfers but if you are, I don’t think you can get any closer to Superior National Golf Course; you can see the fairways driving up to the house and behind the house.Mitch and Mackenzie are quick and responsive. Beautiful home, we’ll be back!
