Awesome spot at Lutsen. Great staff/service, great food at an affordable price, “big” kids meals were only $6. Compared to Papa Charlie’s this place is a knockout. We will definitely be back at our next ski trip. Thank you so much!Kid-friendliness: Kids meals were only $6 and was plenty of food.

Was horrible service!! Out of all beef entree’s but one plate! Help the person behind us first acted like I wasn’t even standing there. Then got our table took over 10 minutes for someone to wait on us took another 10 min to get our pop and 15 minutes to get the beers. Ordered right away first time she came back they were out of prime rib so ordered the same as the other person came back again saying only one steak left. So that person had to het a sandwich. Came back once ordered another beer off tap took about 15-20 minutes for that one too. Only thing that was quick was the bill. Would not recommend this place to anyone. When we got the one steak it was paper thin not sure how but it was surprisingly done medium and had ok flavor.

Unfortunately the walleye cakes did not hit the mark, we actually threw them away upon getting back to our chalet because they were 99% filler (panko or some other bread product) very curious how these even made it on the menu or called walleye cakes, containing less than 1 ounce of fish. Scam.In addition we got the salmon spread, which was all cream cheese.. yikes we went and ate off the mountain elsewhere for the entire 2 weeks we stayed after that awful experience.

Went for a family dinner with a group of 10 on vacation. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It was better than I expected. I had the pork belly, ham and roast beef club. I can't have dairy, so ordered without cheese and it was delicious! I tried their gin cocktail but that wasn't very good. Everyone's food looked great there. My daughter loved the grilled cheese off the kids menu, though she didn't care for the fries. I'm not sure why they have low ratings. The food was delicious. We sat in the bar section because we didn’t have a reservation. The only thing that may be a bad experience is they said they were full tables & couldn’t take us in the dining area, but it was dead before we ate & after we left.I got the mushroom burger with goat cheese & balsamic, but I added a beef patty & it was soooo good. We also got cheese curds & fried pickles which were also good. I would definitely come back just for the burger.

The service was great but that’s the only positive I have to say about this place. I got the prime rib medium rare and a Caesar salad with chicken. The “smoked” prime rib tasted like hot dogs. The asparagus was thin and very fibrous. Lastly the mashed potato’s were definitely a day old based off the color and texture. The salad had watered down dressing and the chicken looked like jerky due to how dry it was.With that being said if I were to go back (very unlikely) I would stick to simple bar food like a burger.

First off I want to say, sorry for not getting pictures.Jessica was an amazing waitress, she made sure everything was right and refilled our drinks before they were empty and was super kind.I ordered the ribs and they were fall of the bone and full of flavor, the burnt ends had a taste of true fire and we're delightful, my wife had a BBQ stack (chicken) looked great and she really liked the pickled red onion.Food was full of flavor, the staff was great even though the menu looked small everyone around had something different and it looked great!Would love to come back again.

Excellent food! I came with a group of 8 rowdy guys for a bachelor's party and the wait staff was super accommodating. I only came here for breakfast but I gotta say, those eggs bennies were lit. They even had some live music on one of the mornings we were there. The smooth guitar sounds really helped the hangover.

We weren’t staying here but dropped in for dinner as we were staying at an adjacent property and wanted something nicer than pizza. Good menu options and a warm and inviting dining room. I liked the battered walleye and she enjoyed her BBQ chicken. Recommend making a reservation. We’ll likely be back next time we stay on the ski hill.

Our waitress, Jessica gave us terrible service. The worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and did not seem overly busy. It took us 25 minutes after ordering our food for her to bring us the single root beer we ordered. Meanwhile, she served a table who was seated 15 minutes after us their 3 drinks from the bar before. 8 even directly asked her to bring us the root beer and she still served the other table before us. In addition, our appetizer is not even here yet and we order 30 minutes ago.

My husband and I both got the chicken dinner. The batter is very light and locked in the moisture. It was amazingly flavored! The mashed potatoes were mashed here on site and you could tell the flavor of real potatoes was there. Yummm! The green beans were whole with a slight crunch- to perfection! We had bruschetta as an appetizer on the special menu and it was also amazing! We literally said, “Yummm” every bite of our meal. I have high expectations, I am very picky, the service was GREAT, we can’t wait to come back!!!!Edited to add: the next night we came back. We looked at other local places to eat and it was just soo good that we had to come back. We tried the chicken slider appetizers this time and “wow”! The flavor was perfection! I didn’t know what to expect, was honestly thinking it would be more like bar and it was more culinary style with amazing flavors!! My husband ordered cheese curds as those are his favorite and those were nothing special. Just regular bar curds.. those could be upgraded. The spicy ranch that came with the curds was great though. We had a different server this second night and she did take a bit to get us our check when we were done eating. It was overall good otherwise. The water girl kept filling drinks and the bus boy was like a hawk taking away finished plates. Cheers to their team effort! Hope this helps!
