Excellent service and atmosphere. Chicken, walnut, blue cheese, cranberry salad was tasty. The garlic butter shrimp with wild rice and broccoli - wild rice and broccoli were phenomenal, shrimp was OK- a little fishy. Hubby had patty melt and said is is phenomenal. Good kids meal options. Free on-site parking.Parking: Parking spots may be tight but there were enough for us. When really busy parking is tough.Kid-friendliness: No coloring menus but plenty of kids meal options and atmosphere otherwise kid friendly.

Our waitress was a champion tonight. She was handling the entire bar on her own. Looked like the owner or manager was there but he never left his seat. Always great service. Fun place. Never know who'll you'll run into. They are done in now also. If you are ligh lucky you'll meet don and Margie. Such GOOD burgers. Very busy tonight but the staff was AWESOME.

Love this place. Great location between two lakes. Basic eatery bar. But the food is always 1 notch above expectations. Great, warm, down to earth staff.

Well being from Chicago originally my wife and I feel we have a pretty good idea what a pizza should taste like. And the Anchorage knows how to do it right !!! So if you are in the area get ready to enjoy pizza the way its meant to be.

Wow, loved it. Fun atmosphere, nice staff, great food. Nachos and wings as appetizers were tasty- nachos were huge!! Walleye was delicious. Chicken sandwich was a winner. We will go back.

Ok, I wish I had photos of this place to share, but unfortunatley I don't, however other peoples photos are perfect. This place is a locals eatery/bar (a bit like Cheers). We have family in the area and they really did know everybody's name. Staff were pleasant, service was fast, food was HUGE, price is reasonable. It is really what you should expect and receive from a locals hangout in rural Minnesota. I would recommend if you are travelling and looking for a local, enjoyable watering hole (dining experience) I would recommend this place.

I have been coming here every year for the summer for as long as I remember. Had to write this review as this is the second time our group has been yelled at. First time was a couple years ago when our whole table got our food except for my father. We had ate half of our food when my dad asked how much longer on the steak he had ordered. The bartender, older bald gentleman, shouted at him saying that “it will be done when its done.” Turns out they forgot to make his steak. This year, 2022 we had a group of 10 and we went to an unpopulated area next to the bar. They had a long table that sits 8 right next to a small circle table that set 4. We started to move it when that same bartender yelled at us saying “dont move any of the tables, find somewhere else to sit.” This guy need to be fired as it sounds like he is constantly in these negative reviews.

Would NOT recommend going here with a group. Owner was rude and ordered our group of 14 to sit. We stopped here for a morning bloody. Wait staff was apologetic. Decided to leave. Telling when the staff is trying to be welcoming and the owner is rude. Can’t comment on the food.

Wonderful view, classic woodsy feel, & great location.Food was considerably good & timely served.The staff was very energetic & wonderfully engaging.I always love the dinners/taverns & inn's far from the cities. It's a great stop before hitting the cabin or hunting/fishing spots.*Highly recommended*

We stopped in for a pre-Memorial Day weekend lunch and were surprised to see the place half full of people. The staff was prompt and very friendly, the Island Burger🍔 special for the day was fantastic. The adult beverages were mixed perfectly. All-in-all, an excellent experience and highly recommended to everyone.
