My dog was suffering. They couldn’t spare half hour to see him because they told me they were not taking new accounts. I don’t care how short staffed you are. Empathy apparently is not an account. I finally got into a vet clinic that had empathy. And they were wonderful. I will always recommend them… not long prairie vet clinic.

I'm thankful for Dr. Jeff. I don't live in the area but bring my dogs there as needed. I do it because he's a thoughtful, straightforward vet. Furthermore, I'm able to get in and see him on short notice which is a plus because I'm not always in the area.

Terrible place I brought in a dying kitten and they would take her because she wasn’t found in city limits and there was no way for us to help it they obviously don’t truly care about Animals, would give negative stars if possible. The doctor in sounded mad we were even there he said “well there gonna have to wait” and you could very clearly hear the rudeness in his voice. If you care about your animal don’t take them here because the doctors clearly don’t care about them.

Very unprofessional, staff is nice but they do not show any concern or care for the animals they treat. The vet was extremely rude to me, and was just as rough a d abrasive with my moms old nervous dog. He handled him with a lack of concern, care or compassion that I have never before experienced with any vet I've ever been to. If your dog or cat has special needs or sensitive or nervous. Take it somewhere else they are not compassionate or caring here, they ack like they couldn't care less is your animal makes it or not.

I have always loved this clinic! Dr. Sauer is an excellent veterinarian and has treated many animals for me over the years. The clinic staff is friendly and prompt.

I called them this morning because my dog was limping on his rear hind leg. They had no appointments open for today, but the vet had me come straight away. His leg was only sprained and he should be fine. I was very grateful that they cared enough to treat my dog even though I didn't have an appointment.

Dr. Jeff gave excellent advice over the phone and Dr. Rochelle examined our dog Buddy and prescribed appropriate meds. It was after 5 pm closing time and they were both kind and wonderful during our emergency. Long Prairie is lucky to have this resource for pet owners. Highly recommend the Long Prairie Vet Clinic!

I use to think this was a very caring clinic, Friendly and genuinely cared about pets... UNTIL our dog was hit by a car. We called one of the staff members who had gotten us on-calls number.We called the on-call MULTIPLE times as we new our sweet dog wouldnt make it if we took her elsewhere. NEVER got a call back... We will never be taking our animals back.

I breed Dachshunds and I just cannot recommend this clinic enough. They take care of all my dogs. They have saved a couple of my dogs when accidents happened. I love the staff and vet, they are polite, caring and have on numerous occasions come in or stayed late to help one of my females with babies, even performing emergency c-sections. I would not take my dogs to anywhere else but here.

My fur babies have been with this vet office for roughly 7 yrs. They have always been really gentle and compassionate with my dogs and cats. We recently had to have our cat (Moon) put to sleep. They were really gentle with her and took great care of her!! They were even very considerate of the pain that it put our family through having to have her put to sleep.

Our dog Margo on July 6th 2022 had a major allergic reaction to something while we were playing Frisbee golf.Her entire face was swollen shut(eyes, mouth) labored breathing and was throwing up.We rushed to this "vet" in Long Prairie round 4pm and he could care less.His young staff was clearly scared of "interrupting" him as our dog became more and more lethargic on his waiting room floor.He didn't even look at our dog and told his staff " I have nothing, tell them to go to store and buy benadryl.No words to us, no eye contact.This "vet" clearly only cared about his income and end of day.Luckily our girl Margo is doing better today but I will be DAMNED if I EVER step foot into that unforgivable "vet" office again!

These folks care about "Your" pet! They tell you straight up, no side stepping or lying. I've never had a Veterinary clinic offer condolences or give my beloved pets remains back to me in a, tiny wooden polished coffin. I would recommend them to people that care about how their pet is taken care of, living or passed!

We have used Dr. Sauer, Elizabeth, Mary and Pat for many years. Unfortunately the time that you need your veterinarian the most is during a crisis situation. We have used this Clinic many times for sick and injured dogs. They have always gone out of their way to help us outside Clinic hours, over the phone when we couldn't get in because of being out of the area, and spending significant amount of time with us when we were in the clinic. They are open to exploring different ideas, listening to what we have to say, and show great empathy for our situation. We highly recommend them.

I called after hours vet because our vet isn't open for on call and I had a sick cat that was in pain and couldn't walk. The vet who called me back was so insanely rude. I really can't even put words to describe the conversation we had. But he told me he didn't FEEL like taking any new clients after hours... Not that he couldn't, but that he didn't WANT TO. I'd give zero out of 5 stars if it would let me. Will absolutely never take business to them. Makes me wonder how they care for animals if this is how they treat humans.

What a wonderful caring team. We have never used the clinic, we have recently moved to grey eagle, well we had a medical emergency, I called right before they closed they waited for us to get there passed closing time, and helped our beloved dog annie!

When ever any of our families dogs have gone to the LP vet they have been seen within 5/10 minutes. They explain things Thouroghly, send out reminders and the staff is very kind,friendly and helpful.Thank you

Great staff at a reasonable price. They also sell science diet dog and cat food. The vet is very knowledgeable. I trust them with our pets and that says a lot.
