Visited on 10-18-2019 a very fall like day. Windy and about 55 degrees. No indoor seating so we found a neat little table on the patio. We finished one bottle that was really good.We tasted first inside. Seven little wines. Some I liked some not so much.This is a very unique place. Can you believe none of their wines are made from grapes.Try this place we were pleasantly surprised.I added some pictures.If you like zinnias, can you imagine what those beauties would have looked like before the frost got them. I’ve never seen zinnias that tall. Someone has very green thumb.

Great place to visit. There is a wide range of wines and it was a real pleasure going through the tastings. Only 5 dollars for tasting of 7 wines. We found a few we really loved!!! The store is really neat and the people there were great. A must-stop if you are in the area.

Great little winery, no grapes!All the wines are fruit based, but none from grapes. Pro tip: if you want something that tastes like a more transitional wine, the Black Currant is the best option. The rest taste like the fruit they list, and all are a unique spin on wines. Def worth the visit!

Been there a couple times. The music and art show were fun. Wine is excellent. They could greatly improve by offering a bit more upscale and put together appetizers to eat with the wine. Really cheap and disappointing. Especially for what they charge for the gas station, pre packed snacks!

Steve and Kristin have a lovely winery and make some of the best fruit wines I have tasted! They are very focused on producing delicious varieties and blends, putting so much heart and skill into their wines. Wonderful hosts! I highly recommend for any wine lover to visit and explore this great winery!

I was there for a family gathering. 11 of us. Felt like they were mad that we showed up. It was not even breezy and he refused to put additional umbrella up for us. Rude. Will not return and would not recommend. Wine expensive and jut ok. Outdoor biffy.

Great variety of wine flights to try. Very friendly staff and it was easy for our group to split the bill. Raspberry wine tasted like fresh berries plucked from a bush.

Quaint winery with nice owners and staff. It’s fruit wine and that is what we expected; however, when we ordered meat and cheese they brought out a literal bag of cheese and bag of meat… I would suggest they try to dress that up a bit with providing a platter.

I absolutely love visiting the Winery, just the drive in with all of the beautiful rhubarb and other fruits growing is lovely to see. It is even better when you get to taste the wine and realize that their wine is made with all of the freshest ingredients. I love the personal service you get when stopping in, they never rush you along and give a great discount when buying a case (which I always do). I am happy to support this small winery that is set in our beautiful state of Minnesota and hope that many more are able to discover what a truly fresh and delicious fruit wine they produce.

Some of the best non-grape fruit wines I have tasted! Highly recommend Forestedge Winery!! We had to get a case & a half of a nice mix, but it was hard to choose which ones because all we tasted we loved! Cheers!

Wonderful experience! Tasting was free and we had at least 10. The owner served us and sent almost an hour with us. He was friendly, knowledgeable and loads of fun to chat with. We will be stopping again soon!

Wonderful local winery with a national reputation of their specialty fruit wines! They make wine from everything BUT grapes, as grapes don't grow this far north in Minnesota. But local wild plums, blueberries, cranberries, and more, are made into delicious singular and combo wines. The Summer Blush and Headwaters red are favorites!

I'm not a big wine connoisseur but thought it would be fun to go as my wife suggested as something to do. Upon our arrival the location was quaint. Entry into the building was nothing special. A counter with two men behind it and racks of wine on the walls. As we sampled I asked what the main ingredient of black currant was. I did not know that it was a berry that grows from a woody shrub. Instead of explaining that to me the putz behind the counter gave me the "are you stupid" stare and responded that it was "black currant." At that point in time I was ready to bail and never come back. My wife insisted that she buy three bottles of wine as gifts much to my dismay. Enjoy your profit on those three bottles as you'll never get a dime from me again!!! If you can't provide a smile and some basic customer service you should consider a new profession. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I reside north of Bemidji, and yesterday was my first time at the Forestedge Winery. I brought some friends with me who were up visiting from Chicago. WHAT A MISTAKE! We waited in line for the wine tasting for 15 minutes, and the gentleman behind the counter ignored us and let several other people go around us. So finally we went outside and the nice young man tending the bar offered to let us taste what he had stocked on the patio. After inquiring, we found they also were not offering tours because of a wedding! We shrugged it off, and went back inside to find there was room for us at the counter. The same man who initially ignored us was very rude, and didn't talk to us about the wines whatsoever. I asked to taste one more, and the man said to the people next to us, " Hold on a minute, folks, this girl is obviously 14 and wants to try the raspberry". Well I was very offended and said so to the man at the register, and all he said was "I think he is under a little stress". Well you know what, Forestedge? Stress is no reason to treat a paying customer like that! I can guarantee I will NEVER be back, and its too bad because I all but run a tour guide service up here for friends and family who come up to visit. Your wine is excellent, but not enough to make up for your APPALLING service! I make my own wine, and can refrain from buying yours. Although I do thank you because this will spare me the long drive out there in the future.
