Amazing tour! I would highly recommend taking it to learn all about the Amish in southeast Minnesota. Jeff, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and the people. I asked him lots of questions, and he answered all of them or found the answers from the people we visited. I would recommend having lots of cash to purchase many of the quality crafts, furniture, canned goods, or baked items.

Our tour guide was very informative and presessional. She was able to tell us everything about the specific history of the Amish we were visiting in MN. She personally knew the families, their traditions and their different branches. Great experience for those who want to know more about their way of life without them being exploited.

Jeff was our guide and did a very good job! He had a headset but couldn't use it so he winged it well! He definitely knows the Amish families by name and gave us information about their lives. We definitely learned things we didn't know before! The greenhouse that we stopped at, I bought a sun sugar cherry tomato plant and they are better than candy!! The 2 young boys were so darn sweet and smart that we could've stayed and talked to them all day long!! My grandson really enjoyed them and the whole tour also!! The one negative was we didn't get to go into the Miller house as we were told we would. I didn't think about it until after the tour.😞😞 But, I shouldn't have to remember to go there. We'll definitely be back!

This is a great tour! We met with quite a few different Amish families and spoke to them about their culture, as well as shop around in their at-home markets! Our tour guide was amazing. He talked about the Amish culture, but also the Amish families we met with on the tour. He has a great connection with the families and for sure loves his job! Make sure you are prepared with snacks, water, and other stuff you may need as it is a few hours. Very comfortable bus. Highly recommend for a fun day!

I’ve been on this tour twice already and will probably continue taking it again in the future. It’s great to have tour guides who have strong connections with the Amish community here in Lanesboro and surrounding towns. You’ll learn more from taking the tour than from reading books and doing google searches because that information is not always specific to the Amish community here and in these times. In addition, the Amish members we visit on the tour will gladly answer any additional questions we have for them. The tour includes stops at their at-home markets where you can purchase baked goodies and other items like furniture and quilts. I love that we have time to shop because we can support those families who open their homes and farms to us.Thank you Jeff and Gina for a great experience!

Honestly, this is one of the weirdest tours I’ve been on. The tour guide kept making weird comments about kids. Such as “I wish they would cut down the grass in front of the school so I could see the kids.” Dude was strange and got caught in many lies. Honestly they just drive you around to all the farms to buy their products. Just save yourself the time and creepiness and do it yourself. Most of the information was false and a quick Google search or asking the Amish would prove him wrong.

Fantastic and educational tour. It was interesting to learn about the Amish culture and to see their shops full of handmade crafts. I also picked up a pretty cool woven basket for my kitchen.

Wonderful tour! I've been on the tour several times.. It's a favorite day activity when I have visitors from out of state. The tour leader Joan is very knowledgeable of the Amish culture, and she has developed great relationships with the people at each stop, which makes for a very positive visit. She can answer any question you may have abou the Amish culture & customs. One of my visits, President Obama was visiting the area and was passing through..Joan took extra measures to ensure that the extra security detail/road closures, etc. did not impact our visit. She went above and beyond.I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour guide! Three hour tour of Amish farms and shops. Furniture, baskets, quilts and delicious baked goods at 4 shops we stopped by. We got some nice gifts and stocked up on preserves. I was not thinking that there was only cash or checks at the Amish shops so be prepared or lose out and their excellent crafts.

Went on a tour earlier this year and it was horrible. Our guide always was talking about selling feed and never really talked about the Amish. He could NOT answer any questions that were asked of him. He could NOT tell us if we could even take pictures. Luckily we ran into another tour company also based out of Lanesboro, I believe it was R M Amish tours, and the lady that was the guide answered any question that we asked of her. I wish I would have went with her instead, her group looked like they were having a lot of fun. I think the owner of Bluffscape need to talk with there employees and make sure they understand there job and what is expected of them. We were very displeased about a tour that we had to pay so much for and learned nothing.

Bluffscape Amish Tours offers a very educational and fun tour. Joan knows the Amish personally and they welcome her and her guests on their farms. We book Bluffscape Amish Tours and everytime her guests arrive back they only have great things to say. We have never had a person whom was disappointed in Joans tour and many plan to come back and do it again with their friends. You will receive all kinds of information about the Amish which includes how they came to our area as well as their customs and religious beliefs.

We traveled to Lanesboro during the Covid crisis. Although Bluffscape wasn't doing any tours, Joan was extremely helpful and made sure my questions were answered, and I had all the information I needed to visit the Amish farms.

Wonderful tour. Very informative. The Amish are a wonderful group of people with a vast knowledge that has sadly been lost to today's world. I hope to implement some of that knowledge into my world.
