I and a buddy each shot a bison this winter. We decided to bring them to Knaus after talking with Kurt. They were wonderful to work with, did a great job, and all at a fantastic price! These animals were huge and we could never have butchered them on our own. I highly recommend them.

Ever since Elk River Meats closed my wife and I have been looking for a meat market and we definitely found one! To start off the staff and the owner (Which was nice enough to show us around) are wonderful people, very friendly and knowledgeable. You can’t leave without getting a jar of sweet horseradish pickles, the smoked brats, and a fresh cut of meat. There is a good selection of everything even dog treats. I will definitely be back soon!

We are continually discouraged as we unwrap our 1/2 cow's meat. Eating out of one's own stash of meat is so wonderful UNTIL there's bone fragment in the hamburger, our thickest steak cut option is still very thin, went to make a simple bone broth from the bones we opted to keep but what we were given were bone shards with more cartilage and joint meat than I know what to do with. I was thinking I'd unwrap one leg bone cut nicely at the minimum for bone broth and marrow whips for my newborn, but I did not expect to find myself feeding the majority of the packages labeled "bones" we "kept" to the dogs. Never bringing a cow here again. Not worth our money to have to worry about kids' and guests' teeth finding bone fragments, disappointing steak cuts, and completely not what we wanted for bones. I'm not excited to unwrap more. Save yourselves the money and hassle and go somewhere else!

We always stop at this place when passing thru Kimball. A great assortment of brats. The pepper bacon is awesome. Many different varieties of chicken, also.Very nice staff.

What a great business! Their staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. When I went to pick up the meat, we didn't have to wait long at all to load up our meat. We'll definitely be doing more business with them in the future.

You haven't had smoked sausage filled with cheese. Fantastic. So there is the pickled halibut and northern. All kinds of meat are great try their wieners. Super delicious.

Yesterday 4-15-20 we bought two steaks. We grilled them today 4-16-20 for our 32nd Wedding Anniversary, these were by far the most tender & flavorful steaks we've eaten. Thank you for making our Anniversary Supper amazing.

The staff and owner is amazing! I drive from Buffalo passing 2 meat markets on the way because they have the best beef steaks, roast and pork chops in this area! Btw Lexi if you looking for mustard? I suggest going to walmart.

It was a great meat shop. Jerky, meat sticks, of course all kinds of meats to cook. I even found ground pork! I only have seen that in Iowa. Hard to find. Definitely will stop in when I. Town again.

The Souse is WONDERFUL! This last package had the right amount of vinegar to really give a pickled flavor. I live in the Alexandria area and cannot find Souse anywhere. I love this product.

The best butcher shop in Minnesota. My favorites are smoked pork chops, sweet pickles with horseradish, bacon, bacon ends, bratwursts, summer sausage and varieties of jerky.
