The lake near the shore is very weedy and very squeegee. It looks like a great lake for boating, but not so much for swimming next to the shore we didn’t really experience the campground itself. We just went for the lake.

Amazingly friendly staff! Clean and lots of amenities including basketball court, small and free golf course, showers, store with everything you can think of. We even rented a boat which was much cheaper than expected. We came with zero expectations but would definitely stay again!! If you’re passing this campsite on a trip make sure to make 2 days to check it out!!!

Great campground for everyone, especially kids. Great playground - equipped with swings, climbing toys, slides, options of adjustable height basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court all in one, just go to the office and get what you need. Lots of trails to travel on by gulf cart, but also great for walking - awesome way to get into nature.Rentals available to get out onto the water. Swimming beach is great for kids, water is warm! Ducks, and geese for kids to to watch and learn about. While there is plenty of fun, it can be a very educational stay for kids too. We've done rock hunts to identify the kinds of rocks, learned about the organisms that live in water, and what a lake looks like from the bottom up to the surface, Identified trees while make a simple dichotomous key, identified plants, cloud types while playing in the rain, practice reading signs, writing in sand to learning new sports such as tennis. Learning to build fires in the site fire ring, cooking by way of camp fire, lots of simple things to do to make it fun for everyone.Campers are a friendly community of people! Campground staff are very helpful and patient with people like me who are new to camping.All around great place to stay!

We have been there as seasonal campers for 7 years , we have bought 3 amazing campers from the Hoffmans an RV & a 5 th wheel & a 2022 Siara destination 40 ft we have loved being up at OakLake Campground in Kerrick Minn very friendly people seasonal & owners & a lot of the dailies we have met , very clean bathrooms , the Hoffman did a fantastic job putting our campers in our sight in a very tight fit , where our patio is, I give them 5 stars for even putting it in there so straight , we have shopped in their store the beginning of each season and my family has bought sweatshirts for everyone of our family 16 sweatshirts just one year not counting all the other years I have bought one every year since we have been up there they fit perfect to the size they say . Our grandchildren have always had a blast playing up at the playground and swimming in the lake Thank You Hoffmans for a fun camping adventure

Beautiful campground, the people are extremely friendly. I will say it is a bit more to camp than most places. You get what you pay for though, showers, golf, great lake. It's about 1 hour from Duluth, with close access to grocery store. If you want to get away to a quiet place this is perfect.

A few times a year I stay with my boyfriend's parents at their place in the resort. While the lake is sometimes stinky, it's always a beautiful place. The kids love the beach and everyone spends lots of time socializing with neighbors. Very peaceful at night.

Had a blast as an over night guest. The beach was full of weeds on shore and a lot of big snails in the water. My daughter refused to go back in. My kids did ,however, have a blast fishing. The new sports court is amazing!!

A very nice place to visit, people are extraordinarily friendly and there are many things to do besides camp and fish..... on the other hand it's geared more toward RVs and campers, just a handful of tent sites and they're packed pretty tightly... lots of off road trails and docks to park your boat for your stay... check it out!

So the tent site they have us was 100% dirt, but other than that, our experience great. Great fishing, lots of fun people to meet. The swimming beach is just ok, but has a small slide, and two rafts for kids to play on.

Nice enough campground - Nice beach area. They really packed 'em in! Very little privacy. Public restrooms and showers need some serious attention. Tenters are treated as second class people - For $45.00 a night - it should be much better! We will not return.

Decent place to camp out at. We had a nice quiet corner to put our tents up. Only drawback was having to walk through RVs to get to the bathrooms. Other than that.. Nice scenery.. Small lake.

Just swung in to check it out and the people camping were very nice. The weekend spots were right next to the water and had nice picnic tables. Lots of seasonals. Hope to go back with my camper next time!

Nice campground. Friendly staff. Pretty lake. Visited my friend's RV site and spent the day on the pontoon, so did not experience many of the campground facilities but they looked nice. Lots of RVs fairly close together.

Awesome lakefront view which we asked for. No actual launch system which was asked about before reserving. And docking was first come first serve but more boats than available spaces.
