This place is phenomenal. I dropped a small buck off Saturday morning and it was done Tuesday. I had the whole thing ground into burger with 10% pork. I got 66# of meat back. All professionally wrapped and frozen. Very nice people working there. I couldn’t be happier!!! For what it’s worth I’m a fishing guide and process fish for clients and this place has my approval and then some

Horrible deer sticks -worst I've had in 40yrs. I tossed 20lbs in the garbage last January. They were horrible. There are better places to go. We were spoiled though as we used to go to a place just immediately south of Cambridge, but he retired. Best sweet and sassy around.

I love the old school look and feel of the place. The venison I received back was delicious, tastefully combined with pork. Meat sticks had an initial crunch and a smooth finish. Summer sausage was very fresh tasting. Perfect amount of cheese and garlic added. Great work guys & gals!

Worst butchering experience We’ve ever come across. We paid to have a cow butchered and nothing we have opened has been right or even butchered cleanly. We asked for 3 steaks per package, and what we received was one giant slab of meat wasn’t a steak with a giant bone in the center. I opened up a “Butter Roast” (2-3lbs), thawed it only to find a large bone in the middle with ribs throughout. I was making a pot roast that evening and needed extra meat so I thawed an “Arm Roast” (2-3lbs) only to find after it was thawed, that 3/4 of it was fat and bone. A bone almost as large as my hand. Together the two roasts equates to roughly 2lbs of usable meat. I didn’t want even want to give this 1 star, but had to give it something. There were several of us that went in on this butcher purchase and have all had the same experiences. None of us would recommend or go back to this establishment. Just unfortunate.

I went to go drop off my deer after the last weekend of hunting for Minnesota on that Sunday and they were closed. Not sure why they would be closed on the last Sunday of deer hunting but the door was open so I opened it and they let me drop off the deer anyway, which I was grateful for. They even huled in the deer out of my vehicle for me. So far so good. I will make an update once I receive my meat back but I am extremely greatful they didn't turn me away, even after being closed 👍🏻

Had a steer processed there. They overcharged me for the ground beef I got. (Charged processing on 60lbs and received 57lbs) also my round steak was given to me in a 2 gallon plastic bag. Not sealed just thrown in there to collect frost. Now I have to thaw it out and repackage it properly. This is not my first time using this place but it will be my last. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with them.

People who work here are awesome. One thing I'd love to see changed is the ramp outside the door going in. It doesn't go across the whole step and it is dangerous. I sprained my ankle coming out of there because of the ramp. I'd absolutely hate seeing someone older or with bad bones of any age and break a hip. That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen and I really don't want to see you get shut down and leave the city because of it. Please, change the ramp to be the width of the whole step.

Did not get meat processed here myself, but received a couple packages of venison jalapeno cheese brats from a family member that they had made here. After cooking some, I noticed that one of them had a strange bit of white on the inside, with red liquid bubbling up under the casing. Thinking it was some bit of the deer that wasn't supposed to have ended up in there, I cut it open to remove from the brat. I pulled out a COUGH DROP WRAPPER. A quick sniff told me that the red liquid had been a cherry cough drop. I can't imagine what else might make it into their meat if their food safety standards are lax enough for a cough drop to make it into a sausage! DISGUSTING!

Very friensly helpful service. Reasonably priced. I purchased fresh ground beef, frozen ground beef, pasta salad from the deli and teriyaki beef sticks and frozen bacon-cheeseburger patties. Huge selection of meats and all the fresh stuff looked amazing. That being said, when I got home and made the frozen hamburger I discovered that it was seriously freezer burned...I was very disappointed in that. If I visit again I will only purchase fresh items not frozen.

HORRIBLE! Wish I could give a negative 5stars. Long story short after being told our meat would be done multiple times we said forget it and picked it up. Made sure to weigh when we brought it in and when we picked it up. They stole 21% of the meat we brought in. Tried to say it thawed, bled out, etc. It was thawed and had bled out plenty before we brought it in. Meat doesn't bleed out 7pounds. Never again.

Dropped my ham off three weeks ago, they said they would call when it was done. Three weeks go by and so I had to call and figure out where it was and they told me it was done and I could pick it up any time (Thanks for the call) . I went there to pick the ham up and it was twice as much as they quoted. The last straw for me to deter me from ever going back was that nobody whatsoever told me it was a cash only establishment so I showed up and couldn't pay for my meat because I only had a card. I had to go to an ATM and draw cash which cost me another $3.. it ended up being an expensive ham per pound when it was all said and done. Place could use some customer service and a update to get out of the stone age. IRS should check out this cash only business. Its a big red flag to me.

A great little small town butcher shop! They walked me though cutting instructions and cut our animal custom to fit our family's wants/needs. Highly recommended!

I agree with Alessa . Same place I used to bring a steer to back in the 70's. Great advice when asked what size portions. A great place to bring in a deer also
