This place is amazing. The old mines are filled with water with plenty of trout for your liking. The trails for walking are great. The mountain bike trails are exceptional. More terrain for all different skill levels than you need in one spot. A must visit.Restrooms: Standard state park bathrooms. But they do the jobPicnic area: Lots of picnic areas. Scattered throughout. With charcoal grills and picnic tables.

My boyfriend and I are avid mountain bikers. Heard about Cuyuna from a coworker and decided to check it out. You will not be disappointed. Very fun trails. Moderate and easy were a blast :) the red dirt makes you feel like you're in another state. Highly recommend. Lots of hiking and site seeing too. We stayed in Crosby which had a lot of diners and shops. We will definitely be back soon!!!!

a wonderful place to take in the fall colors and the crisp fresh air. depending on your timing, you might find yourself in the woods in solitude, spare a few mountain bikers and gun shots, but yeah, mostly solitude!

Best place in Minnesota to camp and bring your bikes. They have some cool yurts you can rent and I highly recommend those

I feel like this is an under the radar place in MN, it's quite beautiful with so many lakes. We were here couple of times. We did paddle boarding in Pennington lake, the lake was so beautiful and we were surprised by how clear the water was. We had so much fun paddle boarding. We are planning to do the mountain bike trails in the fall. The place is especially famous for the number of mountain bike trails available. I believe there are several bike, paddle, kayak rentals available in the area. It's a great getaway for the weekend.

Cuyuna County State Park is exquisite! The trails, area and environment is fantastic! The surrounding towns are lovely with tons of supporting amenities and fun to be had! Hands down the best mountain bike trails and MTB riding in Minnesota!

Cuyuna country state recreation area is a little boundary waters type of experience. The mountain biking trails are the best I’ve ever been on. Fishing from kayaks in the mine lakes is always a fun trip with fish always biting in Little Mahnomen lake where motor boats don’t have a launch

Absolutely amazing biking trails, including paved paths and unpaved mountain bike trails. There are a few lakes and walking paths. There is a free bike maintenance stand and tools available. There are some picnic sites. There is a fee to enter the area. This area was an old mining pit (a total of nine, 40 acre parcels). Be sure to read the informational signs for more historical information (or see my pictures).

Favorite place to ride in Minnesota. Trails of all types for everyone. Easy flowy greens, learning areas as well as some fast more technical black diamonds. The trails themselves are not overly techy you would be better off going to Duluth if you're looking for chunky, rooty rides. Theres also a paved path that goes around the area if road bikes are your speed. Plenty of views to take in no matter what route you take.

I only spent a short time hear but you can tell this is a newer recreation area. It is smaller area but very well maintained. Great place for day use or stay at one of the states few yurt sites. Close to town and looks to be a bikers or shore fisherman's paradise. The rec area is spread out over a few units and has really no trails for hiking.

An amazing, historic, huge, and sprawling park area spread over 5000 acres, with over 25 miles of beautiful shoreline. Boasting over 25 miles of singletrack trail spread across 800 acres as well as areas/trails for walking, hiking, swimming, cooking/picnic, camping, groomed trails for winter biking on fat tire bikes, canoeing, fishing, scuba diving, and more, this park is perfect for the single person, couples, and families.

Best mountain bike trails I've ever ridden! Incredible flow really allows you to fly around the trails. We spent two hrs ridding and didn't even get to ride everything. I'm definitely coming back to ride more. They also have awesome easy trails that are a blast for the inexperienced riders. Oh I almost forgot to mention the incredible scenery as you ride along the lakes. Amazing!

This is one of the many gems in Minnesota. It has some of the most amazing trails for all skill levels. There is a lot of views of lakes and forested areas. It’s located close to town where is a great little bike shop and some great restaurants.

Beautiful mountain bike trails and enjoyable kayaking. There is great visibility in water, and the Pennington Chain of lakes is a lot of fun since you can kayak between multiple lakes. There are a number of Airbnb options near downtown Crosby, which is walking/biking distance to the trails and lakes as well as restaurants, breweries and coffee shops.

The most beautiful places to swim are the mine pits. Cold, clean, and clear. Super fun to snorkel at as well.

Amazing place!! Great place to mountain bike or walk. But the main reason I go here is for the diving. There are some more hidden mines that are truly breathtaking! The water is so clear and the fish life is amazing to watch! If your a diver, this is the best place to dive in Minnesota besides Lake Superior of course.

One of the most fun mountain bike areas in the Midwest. Awesome trails for all skill levels and beautiful views. Take a dip in one of the extremely clear mine lakes to wash the trail off before retiring to your campsite!

What a fanstastic experience! I know I will be short on words and details but will try my best. The drive: Getting there starts to turn on the magic of the whole area. Drive by a tiny towns where people mind their business yet start casual conversations with the friendliest smiles. The conglomerate of areas: lakes and parks you get to visit while camping in Cuyuna. Everything is a 20 min walk or a 3 minute drive or a 10 minute bike ride. SO MANY BEAUTIFUL PLACE.The Cuyuna campsites are all set and very orderly. So go to the parks website make sure your permits and reservations are in order. The views: Depending on time of the year your views and experience will vary. During he summer is he most beautiful blue sky and green shrugs and blue refreshing water areas.Walk, swim, bike, jog, run, canoe, kayak, paddle, retreat and think, OMG you name it. Family, friends, solo travel. You will come a whole new person and with memories for a lifetime.I cannot say enough great things. They are clean and safe so we must keep them that way. Care for each other and watch each other.

SHREAD THE RED! best place ever for single track! Towns near by are quaint. Craft brewery. Healthy food. Good fishing. Clear lakes. Pick up trash if you see it! Rent a cabin or go camping. Watch the beavers play on the ice. Why stay home any time of year?
