Every month I have problems with this pharmacy. Their system continues to default my prescription to the generic even though my insurance only covers the brand. They keep telling me they will put a note on my chart but the past 5 months this has happened. The medication ‘out of stock’ notification is sent to me and I call to check in and they say they are out of the generic and I retell them I need the actual brand and then they tell me they are out of stock with no estimate on this one as well.For other medications, several other issues occur as well including that they take days to send refills requests, keep refilling prescriptions I’ve asked them to take off, and have errors in submitting app requests requiring me to call which I am often on hold for over 20min.It’s one thing that they can’t control manufactures but that they continue to refill it incorrectly but tell me they are waiting for what I actually requested. And then I call to make sure and it’s always wrong and they would have never noticed they needed a correction.The staff ongoing make me feel like a burden for calling to correct things and get mad when I ask how I can ensure they pay attention to the notes they keep telling me that they put in my chart. I hate getting upset at people but medications are necessary for daily living yet I’m inconveniencing them when I try to figure out what I need to do to get these meds.I know they are very overworked and have to manage upset customers so I try to give them grace. But when the same problems happen at least once a month despite them telling me they’ve made a note so it won’t happen again, I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t be upset.

Sat on hold... FOR AN HOUR. Only to have nobody ever pick up the phone. This place sucks, the staff suck, and not a single person in the pharmacy cares to be even slightly helpful or efficient. On hold for AN HOUR just to have nobody actually answer, is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. I'm done with this place. Still no improvement a year or 2 later from my last review. It's only gotten worse. I switched all my important medication to a different pharmacy, due to them constantly being out of stock and on back order. There's only one I pick up here now, guess I'm switching that one too. Screw this place and the people who work here. Atrocious customer service

Slowest pharmacy in Minnesota (or possibly anywhere). Want a same-day prescription? Go elsewhere.It sure would have been nice to get my after-surgery pain meds and antibiotics and aftercare meds the day I got out of surgery. But no, even though they were called in at 10 AM, they weren’t ready til 3 PM the next day.Sure was nice to sit at home in agony for 29 hours while Walgreens doesn’t have updates or answer their freaking phone.I would give negative stars if I could.

Everyone is right, the pharmacy AND pharmacist are full of excuses. I was told verbatim "there is no system and we're too overworked." THAT SEEMS DANGEROUS WHEN YOU HANDLE MY MEDICATION!What is going on at this location!?! @WalgreensCorporate should look into this.

Two most recent visits to the pharmacy they were out of a prescription. Rather than call one of the neighboring Walgreens to see if it’s in stock, I was told to call around myself. Customer service 101 fail.Update: I go to Target CVS in Inver Grove now, much better experience.

The absolute worst pharmacy experience consistently for YEARS. They REFUSE to do better. Utterly refuse to serve their customers in any capacity. Huge lines. Don't answer the phone. When asking questions they do not answer the question asked. Update: one year later, it is even worse. Told me that they just don't have my medication and I need to figure it out on my own. Finally leaving, even though it is not was I wanting to do. They do not care. They do not have staff. Corporate Walgreens does not care and it is rotten from the top. Put them out of business.

Online scheduled testing said drive through, after waiting 10 min past my appointment in drive through I get up to the window and they said I have to go inside because it was both a flu and COVID test. Inside I'm told it'll be another 15 min waiting even with my appointment. Poorly planned location.

The pharmacy is the worst. Wait times are horrible. And the staff is rude. They hate their jobs.Dan the Pharmacist your rude and condescending, not only to me but the staff. We both had questions about a med that was not in stock. And it showed you were not in the mood to help. And the eye-rolling is childish. Shame on you.I will say this. To the customers, there are other pharmacies out there. I would move away from Walgreens.Absolutely an unorganized mess of a business and leadership with a lack of professionalism.

Absolutely the slowest pharmacy in existence. If you need anything same day don't come here. I filled something at 7 am this morning. Currently 5:27 pm still filling the prescription. No updates. Nothing. I asked for noon.

The worst. Scheduled a COVID booster. Waited for 45 minutes past my appointment at a door they showed me. Finally asked if I was waiting in the right place and they admitted they thought one of the staff was administering the boosters when she wasn't. Me and a bunch of people were just waiting for nothing. Scheduled my kids flu shots. Get there only to be told they're out of flu shots. Was charged $160 per bottle of insulin for my dog. They told me to buy this discount card which I did to save a bit of money each refill. Found out that Walmart pharmacy sells the exact same insulin for $20 a bottle. Literally robbery. The level of incompetence of the staff of the store and pharmacy is legendary by all measures. They should be ashamed or at least apologetic but since that takes class they obviously aren't. I'd drive cross country to get what I needed rather than to ever set foot in this place again.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever had fill my prescriptions. They told me they needed a pre-authorization form filled out from my doctor in order to fill my prescription because that certain med wasn't covered by my insurance. My clinic just called me telling me the pharmacy told them my insurance didn't cover that certain med and gave them a list of other meds that were covered. My doctor already told me my insurance wouldn't cover it and he would need to do this. My body doesn't work well with the other meds that is why he prescribed me this certain one because it actually works. So this pharmacy has been lying to me all day telling me they are waiting for my doctor to fill out a pre-authorization form when they never even sent my doctor one or even mentioned it to my doctor. They only tried to get him to prescribe me something else when clearly my doctor would have already done that if any of the other medications worked for me. Since when does the pharmacist know what is best or what works for the patient? There's a reason why the doctor prescribed it. I asked to pay for the prescription they said I would lose my insurance if I paid out of pocket? What a joke!

The pharmacy is the worst. No customer service skills. The drive through has zero urgency. Pharmacy had 36 hours to fill my sons prescription, I went and they only had 1 of 2 ready. Told me it would be a half hour, I left, then received a text 10 min later that it is ready.

The customer service is absolutely horrible in the pharmacy. They don't know how to effectively communicate anything. System says everything is ready get there they need another 30 minutes. Good luck

I understand that Walgreens brand surgical masks are low/out of stock everywhere. I have been trying different stores to see if I luck out. Prior to attempting a pick-up order at this store, I had tried at two different St. Paul stores. Neither one was able to fulfill that item - one of them even CALLED me to let me know they could substitute it, but I had checked not to do that. Great customer service!! THIS store, though. Had me sitting in the drive-through while they searched for the order, took several minutes before they realized they could not find it. They said they would have to grab a new item, so I should drive around to curbside. Bad feeling about this; sure enough, when someone brings out my item I check the bag and it is not the correct item (they ARE Walgreens surgical masks, but they are size small). I said it was the wrong item and refused it. The clerk they sent out did not seem to know at all what to do about that so bad feeling persisted and sure enough - the item in my account is marked as picked up and was charged. I'm not marking low stars because they couldn't fulfill the order - this item is clearly scarce and I'm just trying to get it before I run out so I don't have to psych myself up to try a new brand! But I am marking low stars because of the ineptitude of service. It seems now that refunding this is going to be very difficult - waiting on a manager call-back. Order should have been cancelled from the get-go, never marked as ready to pick-up (given the stock issues everywhere I am VERY doubtful they ever actually had the item ready to go); or possibly I should have been told to wait at the store or immediately called back as I now have to return in order to take care of this, but my impression is definitely that the clerk didn't know what to do at the time.

I’ve had to leave multiple times when picking up a prescription due to the wait time exceeding 45+ minutes. When asking questions for the pharmacist it always seems like a burden. This location is close to my house so it’s very convenient but with the terrible customer service I’m going to go elsewhere.

The Pharmacy is the worst in the history of Pharmacies. The line is always long and slow. They never have enough people working. Its a real S*** Show. The redhead working there is loud and annoying and they all like to say what my prescription is OUT LOUD. NO PRIVACY AT ALL!

ABLEIST! I had an APPOINTMENT for 11. I arrived early, stood in line for over 90 minutes for an APPOINTMENT under flashing flourescent lights that are CRUEL to have in a pharmacy. ABLEIST! EVIL, GREEDY CORPORATIONS! Pay your staff more & treat them better so the CUSTOMERS don't have to waste their lives waiting in line to pay for over priced meds. I had a seizure because of the lights & no one cared or helped me. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE AUTISM OR ANY LIGHT SENSITIVITY or a job that you need to get back to because you'll likely get fired for WALGREENS ABLEISM & CLASSISM. MAKING PEOPLE WAIT THIS LONG IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Having florescent lights when austistic people & people with epilepsy EXIST is unacceptable! Never coming to any Walgreens EVER again.

I have never had any issues before and have used this pharmacy for over 10 years, until today. My prescription wasn't the correct quantity and my coupon was refused. I know the prescription was not covered by my insurance and never had been refused my GoodRx coupon. Completely disappointing.The medication mark up they charge is so much more then Hyvee and Costco. I will go out of my way for a lesser cost and staff that is more willing to work with me.

This is the worst pharmacy we have been to. We were there to take flu shots. Waited 15 min in line to to be told that he can not do it right now and we have to come back in 45 min to get it done. We don't even have to wait that long in a doctor's office. He(Mohammod) was right there and there is no people waiting in line. He did not give us any reason why the long wait. If Walgreens don't want to give flu shot or only want to give flu shots in certain times, let people know on their website. Be PROFESSIONAL!! This particular location lost our business forever.

I was into day to pick up a few different medications. I was having bad headaches and decided to take my medication on the way home. When I got home I realized the pill bottle had someone else's name on it and was a prescription for Adderall. I went back up to the pharmacy and at that time my anxiety that i was experiencing had skyrocketed not knowing what this medication I had just taken would do to me. When I got there they told me the medication in the bottle was actually the right medication prescribed to me and that it had the wrong pt label on the pill bottle. This is a HIPPA violation and I'm sure someone else received a pill bottle with my name and address just as I had for them. How can I be sure everything was done right and I have the right prescriptions. I will never ever go here again to have meds filled.

Honestly, I am known as a positive person. This pharmacy is a huge disappointment. I have tried three times to get my meds and they are never ready. The first time, I waited in line for over an 30 min and they did not have my meds ready. The 2 days later I tried to get my meds and line was huge again and they still did not have it ready. The last time I had to wait again and they said I had waited too long to pick it up and they put it back. There were no calls or service to remind me. The service people are rude. I love this store and close to my home but never using this pharmacy again. I told all my relatives to go to a different place as well.

I have been going to this Walgreens and using their pharmacy for about 6 or 7 years now. I have never had any issues with them being polite, at all, so I'm very confused by other people's reviews here. I will admit that I have had to wait for them to figure out the rebate for my prescription a couple times, but it wasn't more than 10 minutes of waiting. It's a super confusing system so I was more than happy to patiently wait as they helped me save money! Have never had any problems with finding someone if I needed help, and all employees at this store have treated me respectfully. No, not every single one of them had a smile for me, but I didn't take it personally! :)

Awful pharmacy experience multiple times... Given wrong meds twice, pharmacy hours are wrong online and I pulled in a minute before they close and was turned away while they were helping another customer that got there only seconds earlier. And just today I Inquired about a medication I knew they had before +allergy/decongestant, was told they didn't have it so they sold me just a decongestant... immediately after purchase while walking out, saw the correct med that I had asked about, but because of the lack of knowledge from the pharmacist could not purchase it or return what I was just sold... Will be switching pharmacies...

So sick and tired of their rude pharmacists. Seriously. Called today with a simple inquiry about my medication because my app says one thing but they’re saying another. My doc sent them a written and signed approve to fill my medication yet the pharmacist on duty bark and was profoundly rude to me saying “I don’t care who your doctor is!! They need to SPEAK directly to us!!” Yeh okay. Since when? And why is that better than a written and signed statement? Makes no sense. Sick of their games and unprofessionalism. I’ll be going elsewhere.

Honestly this review is more for the drive thru than the store itself. I pulled into the line with 4 cars ahead of me.. there are currently 2 cars ahead now - sitting here for 29 minutes. That's pretty long to wait and have the line hardly move.. im honestly curious how long I would actually spend sitting here waiting for it to be my turn, but I got impatient and frustrated and ran inside instead.*Update* It took about 10 minutes inside to get the prescription and leave. To be fair, I dont know if this location is always this way or if they're just having a bad day.

If I could I would give this pharmacy ZERO stars I would. I have been on the same prescription for 6 years and always pay the same amount. I went in with a new rebate to save more money. The First Lady in the drive-thru clearly didn't know what she was doing and asked another lady for help. I could clearly see the lady she asked was annoyed and explaining how to enter in the rebate. Long story short they said I had to call my insurance to delete the old rebate before using the new one. 10 min later I walk into the pharmacy a different lady helped me and I said I was told you need to delete the old rebate and enter the new one. She ends up deleting my ENTIRE prescription and rebate so a third lady has to help and get it re-entered. I've now been at Walgreens for 1 hour and 15 min. The third lady tries to re enter it and says it's going to be a while and they will call me. An hour later I hear nothing so I call back frustrated and asked about my prescription. The pharmacy manager answered and said we couldn't get a hold of the rebate company and I would have to wait until Monday. I said can I have it for my old rebate rate for $50? He said no it will be $75 since they can't get my original rebate to work which was their fault for completely Deleting it. I said no one called me back to at least tell me that. He clearly could care less about customer service because as we got into a heated convo he said you need to watch your language and hung up on me. I went to the 24 hour Walgreens in west St. Paul and with a lot of phone calls they were able to reverse what the Cahill Walgreens messed up and best yet they got my new rebate to work so I was able to save money! Cahill Walgreens employees don't know what they are doing, don't care about customers and I will never go there even tho it's 2 min from my house. I'd rather drive 15 to west St. Paul where they care and actually know how to do there job.

Don’t even bother making an appointment. Wait times are so bad that even if you have one, you’ll be stuck waiting in line just to check in. Go to CVS, you can check in on your mobile device and usually it’s in and out in a few minutes. This is the worst walgreens I have ever been to.

Every time I go to Walgreens, no one says hello, and they don’t bother to say “I’ll be with you in a minute” if they’re busy. I’m literally ignored until someone realizes they’re free enough to help me. And then when they do, there are no smiles, no “have a good day”. I’m not exactly happy about being here either. It’s because I’m sick or my parents are so the least you could do is treat customers better.
