This animal hospital is amazing. We chose this place at random based on where we lived she got very lucky. They've always had amazing customer service. The staff have always treated our dogs as if they were their own. I couldn't recommend this facility more they're so amazing. They have always been able to answer questions about our dogs. When we needed to come in at the last minute we were able to get in the same day.

I have been a long time client, after being referred by an Iowa breeder that this practice was the best for French Bulldog’s. After 11 years of bringing both my French bulldog and Pitbull here I’m still a committed client. I cannot express the compassion they show not only towards my pets but myself!! They listened to my suggestions but also expressed their concerns when needs became extreme and I trusted every suggestion they expressed after all other solutions were exhausted. I will recommend this clinic to all my friends with a pet in need of exceptional care!

I have been taking my cats to Inver Grove Heights Animal Hosp since 1991. It is now 2024 and what began as a vet clinic that was shared as a home by the founders is now a huge complex with nine or more doctors and multiple technicians and wonderful people who continue to offer the wonderful care I have received from the beginning. I live in St. Paul, so it seems a bit of a drive, but the care is so thorough and caring and excellent. I am grateful to have had them support the health of all my cats for so long. I cannot recommend them more highly.

I was in need of establishing a working relationship with a reproductive veterinarian. I was treated with care and compassion from the moment I called to inquire about my particular needs to the second, I entered the building. The staff were not only kind but extremely knowledgeable as well. Within minutes of getting in a room with a doctor, they figured out the issues at hand and dealt with them with the utmost respect in a very professional manner. I highly recommend anyone looking for a phenomenal repo vet to give Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital a call and set up your next planned or emergency visit with them. They are hands down one of the best reproductive vets in around.

The staff are fantastic! We had a stray cat that needed some medicine, and they were able to squeeze us in for an appointment. They were very understanding and you can tell they genuinely care about every animal that comes in there. I thankfully haven't needed to bring my own cats in for any emergencies, but if ever need to, this is where I am going! Highly recommend!!

Custom service was good, beautiful building, and the Vet was willing to explain a good amount. But the cost was shocking, almost double the cost of our previous vets, for the exact same vaccinations and service. Also very very salesman like service the second they suggest your pet need some other treatment.

Amazing!!!I really can't put into words how much I love this place. The people are beyond amazing.I been going here since early 2000's and I would never go anywhere else.The whole staff treats you and your pets like family. They care deeply and do whatever they can to help.The knowledge of the doctors and staff is so good.They are also not a place that tries to make you do unnecessary things. They really get to know your pet and help with their individual needs.

I breed Olde English Bulldogges and finding a vet who is knowledgable about the breed is nearly impossible now days! The staff at Inver Grove is top notch and extremely knowledgeable. They don't judge you for being a breeder and they treat your animals like their own. I would drive hours to take my dogs to this vet because they are simply that good! I am an extremely knowledgeable breeder and I know what is wrong with my dogs before I even bring them to the vet. This vet actually listens to me and 9 times out of 10 I am correct with what is going on and they tell me how I am such a good momma to my dogs and I make their job much easier. Great place, great people, very knowledgable! AJs Oldies APPROVED!!

IGH is my "go to" place for reproduction services for my German Shepherd show dogs. I advise puppy clients to set up an account there right away. Even though I have to drive 100 miles each way to have the advantage of their services, their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism are well worth it!

Absolutely recommend this clinic. If you are looking for a clinic with staff who are well versed in reproductive health/breeding and well bred dogs or just looking for a friendly and intuitive vet staff in general, this is the right place for you! My standard poodle had a routine check up followed up by a test for OFA and breeding with Dr. Ellis and she was outstanding! Very thorough and interested in all my boy has achieved so far and what we are working towards and very knowledgeable on his breed as well which is a huge added bonus. I didn’t feel like just a number coming in and out of the clinic I felt very comforted in the fact that Dr. Ellis was genuinely interested in my dog’s future and progress and told us about her experience with her dogs as well! She also asked multiple times if I had any other concerns other than what I came in for which was nice. The technician we had in the room was super caring and handled my dog very well too. We were very impressed by this team and facility and even though it is a farther drive for us we will for sure be coming back for future veterinary needs.

Great reproductive services. I elected to get a C-section for a singleton puppy here. It was so cool to see the puppy's internal organs on the ultrasound. The C-section was quick and I was in and out in under two hours. They gave me a wealth of information. Super knowledgeable and great communication. I will definitely use them again for my reproductive needs.

Would not recommend. Their vet techs aren’t board certified (so they don’t know how to properly perform patient intakes)and their office manager doesn’t do anything about the lack of training. You’ll be left in the exam room with no idea what’s going on due to their lack of communication.The worst customer service ever. You are not allowed to hold anyone accountable there for the way they treat you and your pets. Do not waste your time there.

Always a good experience for my fur baby at this Vet. My bulldog is high maintenance and has special cares needed and I trust this clinic with his cares. He has had two surgeries and both went well. If I call the clinic with concerns they will find answers for me and if they are busy and its a non emergency question they do take the time to call back. Would recommend this clinic and I will continue to take my dog here.

It’s taken me forever to finally be able to talk about this experience since it was so traumatizing. 4 years ago I rushed my puppy boxer here because he was foaming and bleeding out of his mouth. He was shaking and refused to move. He also was vomiting. Obviously all of this frightened me so I brought him here since they were the closest emergency vet to me. I felt his situation wasn’t taken seriously at all. He was examined by a doctor and they said he was just having growing pains… I was highly doubtful and had a feeling it was more serious but wasn’t given any proper answers. He was prescribed some pain medications and that was it, that’s all they did for me. I didn’t know what to do since I’m not a vet so I just followed the doctors orders and tried to believe it was just growing pains. He was vomiting on the way home. I gave him his meds and had to syringe water into his mouth since he wouldn’t drink. I was panicking and so worried for him but I brought him to inver grove vet and they said it was growing pains and he would get better in the next few days. All that night he was crying and in so much pain I didn’t know what to do but comfort him. Next day, my sweet boy passed away. 9 months old. He completely bled out of his mouth. I can’t explain how traumatized I was and still am. This was my son. I loved him so much and he was gone within hours of his symptoms. I rushed him to another vet where they tried to cpr on him but didn’t work. He was officially pronounced dead. I didn’t leave his side for 5 hours. I just held on to him crying. I brought my puppy who had severe symptoms to this vet and they let me down, misdiagnosing him, giving me hope he would live, rushing me out because they wanted to close, and ultimately helped lead him to his death. I went to a professional for help and got none. My other emergency vet I went to was in shock with how inver grove treated him and how they weren’t concerned. I lost my everything. Still to this day I cry about his death because he meant so much to me. If you care and love your pet and want a vet that will be there for you and help you when in an emergency, don’t go here, please. I can’t help but think if I was told a proper diagnosis he could still be here today. If you have an emergency, go to Blue Pearl pet hospital. I wish I could have known inver grove emergency vet would not help my dying dog.Sorry for the long message but I wanted to get my story across so no one has to go through the pain I still have to go through today because of this place.I ultimately found out from Blue Pearl he had a stomach ulcer that ruptured and he was internally bleeding. Yeah, not anything near growing pains.

We have an English bulldog who has seen Dr Jim and various other vets throughout the years and have never had a poor experience. They are very knowledgeable about bulldogs here and it is totally worth the 30 minute drive for us. This vet came highly recommended by our breeder, and it appears they run a very good business for AKC show dogs.

We love Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital. Our 75 lb chocolate lab has had several trips over the years, from allergies- spay surgery- yearly check ups- a broken toe nail & eye infections. We have had fantastic care with all of the providers we have seen, and during the dramatic broken off toe nail, they fit us in last minute on a Friday! We are always given very good educational information, and explanation of what is going on with our dog, what to expect etc... The only time I have had to wait was because the doctors were triaging care appropriately and a very sick pup was obviously triaged before our pup's healthy yearly check up. At that time, I was informed it would be a little bit of a wait (for an excellent reason!), and my pup and I went for a walk and came back a bit later. That experience actually made me feel more confident in IGH-- to know that care is provided appropriately. We have nothing but positive experiences with Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital.My dog absolutely loves all of the staff, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

This clinic is AWESOME for reactive dogs. While my dog, Roscoe, is normally very sweet, he loses his mind whenever he goes to the vet. He does not enjoy being examined or getting poked with needles and will be very vocal about letting you know that. I have brought him here 3 times, and every time the medical team has been so patient and nice with him. They are able to get all of his shots and blood work done. We were essentially turned away from another clinic for him in the past due to his behavior issues at the vet, so we really appreciate the effort the staff here put towards accommodating him and how nonjudgmental they are about his behavior. Really recommend for anyone with a similar situation!

I thought I did the review before but I’m more than happy to try again. When my boy Chief MaHomie and I first arrived, it was the ending of COVID which made it impossible to find him a vet outside of the emergency. I asked around other Bulldog owners and nearly everyone recommended Inver Grove. This was three years ago, but it would be months to get him in since everyone was taking their animals in after months of waiting for COVID to subside.We ended up in emergency, etc, etc. I rolled the dice again recently and we received our long awaited appointment. Chief isn’t the easiest guy to care for, but he and I both knew immediately we found our new vet home.From the kindness I received on the very first call, the caring that was obvious by the staff and the doc telling me, “we’re going to take Chief’s things in priority at his pace” instead of forcing too much too fast for a quick buck…these folks care and care sincerely about our animals.If you can, and definitely if you have an English Bulldog, do yourself a favor and book an appointment. They are an hour away from us, but I’d take him to another state if they picked up their office and moved.

I have been using Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital for well over two decades and have been so blessed to have found them. They are not like any other vet clinic around. They are fair and reasonable. They tell you all your options and are considerate of circumstances, while providing the very best care for furry family members. One of the best qualities about this clinic is they are honest. Often times clinics will have one or two good staff and a bunch of average employees. This place is not like that and they are ALL over the moon great people. Everyone from the folks who answer the phone, to schedulers, to techs and obviously, the Doctors. You can tell, the employees are happy to work there and the care they give to pets is the best because they all really enjoy what they do. Pets with anxiety over going to the vet shift after going to this clinic because they work with you and the pet to make everyone more comfortable. Thank you Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital for being the best vet clinic!!!I noticed a review or two here mentioning cost. They are not high for being in the Twin Cities at all, and they are honest, giving you all your care options. I have had 8 dogs and each of them has had all their care done at this clinic. I have compared prices of same procedures in other places and it is always very competitive. Over time, I have saved going to them with their honesty and the level of extra effort going over all options. They know by being trustworthy and honest, I will always come back with our next adopted furry family member. They also offer many services other clinics do not have. They are also good with medical emergencies, both getting a medical emergency in and tending to the already scheduled patients. They understand how to juggle the business side as well as the medical side of things.

I knew something was very wrong with my 14-year-old yellow lab, Boomer, when he didn't want to eat and was sick to his stomach one morning. I was able to get an appointment with Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital that afternoon. I didn't care which veterinarian saw him because I know all the vets at IGH are excellent.The vet, Dr. Lukas Wallerich, was someone I hadn't met before, and I wouldn't meet that day due to Co-vid. As I sat in my car Dr. Lukas called me while he was examining Boomer. He carefully explained a sequence of tests, which I approved. Boomer had a large tumor near his spleen, which was most likely cancerous. Dr. Lukas offered the option of surgery, but warned that because of Boomer's age, he had a good chance of not surviving it. He explained Boomer's future prospects with candor and gentleness: A few days to maybe a month or two.Two days later, Boomer's condition worsened. I called Dr. Lukas, mostly to confirm what I already knew. It may be time for a "respectful and dignified" end of life. A mobile vet came to the house that night.I had spoken to Dr. Lukas for almost an hour over the course of 3 days. He had never met Boomer before this time, and I have not met Dr. Lukas to this day. What I will always be grateful for is the time he took with both of us, and how he spoke with me in a caring, candid, and accessible way. He conveyed competence and professionalism. It has to be hard for vets to deliver the news no pet owner wants to hear, but needs to hear.I have a new dog now, a 6-year-old English bulldog rescue named Cassandra. Within two days of adopting her, she had a "wellness check" at IGH, and is healthy and happy. I will always trust IGH to care for my furry companions--through good times and bad.

Last year my dog Knox tore BOTH of his ACLs and need TTA surgery.My lifelong vet Dr. Spong from Hopkins Pet Hospital recommended Dr. Levine at Inver Grove Animal Hospital. I canNOT say enough about Dr. Levine and the patient and caring staff at IGAH. They were incredible throughout the whole process - twice! They even created the most awesome bandage as an ode to Prince - and I have attached a photo. If you are ever unfortunate to have to go through this procedure, I highly recommend Dr. Levine and the incredible staff at IGAH. Our two schnauzers had their annual checkups at IGHAH recently. Even though I understand that there has been a change of ownership there, I did not notice any change at all in the level of care provided or their genuine caring for my dogs' well being.
