Wanted to thank Menard's for everything. First, what a great staff. As a Veteran, I can assure you this place is ran well. James and Troy are sure-footed, focused, and fair. Second, I unfortunately incurred a family emergency which I should have been aware of sooner. My intentions were good but that doesn't execute. Stephanie (HR) was super understanding and always shot for the best. Wanted to thank Timmy for the advise! I took it. Nothing but the best.

International Falls Menards store, apparently, is like the Mall of America of all Menards stores... because, well, it's huge. The store originally opened when I was a cute kiddo in 1994, and then 20 years later, would engulf the previous realm of the "Int'l Mall" (which started having problems, bit by bit, in the late '90s, and was getting more vacant in 2005, and was essentially empty by 2009/2010, except for Regis and "Rumors Up North" Bar. So, with the mall essentially defunct, by 2014, Menards doubled in size because a massive construction effort put the previous perimeters of the old On Cue 1993-2002 (later Sam Goody ca. 2002) as the newest bounds of the massive home improvement store. What previous housed a supermarket, several chain clothing stores (Maurices, Fashion Bug, Stage), a Regis Salon, pet store, art gallery & custom framing business (Doug LaFrance's "The Frame Up"), entertainment/music/book stores, a Claire's, a fabric/sewing store, an arcade, bar, holistic foods / vitamins shop, consignment store, and lastly, a telemarketing business --- became nothing more than a ginormous Menards and County Market, which, as of late Oct 2023, is now vacant due to the Miner family from Duluth buying Super One from Dave Stewart, just before covid, and repairing / customizing the old Kmart store in April 2023, for the merger of two previously separate, unique grocery stores into one, so now a shiny new Super One Foods store. Kmart closed in mid-November 2019, so, I guess you could say International Falls commercial endeavors all have a sort of "musical chairs" type problem and solution. Until 1995, Kmart had competition right next door with a Pamida, then that sat empty until The Daily Journal moved in 5yrs later, but the newspaper went defunct after 70 years, and a brand new Tractor Supply store came in 2022. But please, go save big money and shop Menards! The history lesson is over.

on October 15th we drove 90 miles, one way, to Menards in International Falls where according to their web page they had the shower I wanted in stock. when we arrived we found the shower was in fact not in stock so we ordered it. we left our contact information with name phone number and e mail address and paid for the shower. 5 weeks later and no phone call regarding the shower I call only to be told it arrived 3 weeks ago but there was no contact information. Looking at our invoice receipt I see everything clearly. So we again make the 90 mile one way trip to pick up the shower and bring it home and install it. Then on December 8th we received a call from Menards at about 8am which went to voice mail about 45 minutes later we received a phone call from our bank explaining that Menards couldn't get in touch with us and that apparently they "accidentally " shredded our check. upon calling Menards back we were given 2 different stories about the check. 1 it was accidentally shredded and 2 the bank didn't honor it due to lack of funds which we had plenty of funds to cover it. we made arrangements to go up over the weekend to settle it. Only to have Menards call us again demanding payment. So having had already taken the night off from work we head the 90 miles one way to International Falls. Where we again are told 2 different stories about the check. 1. a manager accidentally emptied an entire bin of checks and 2 the bank confirmed there were not enough funds to cash the check so they never ran it. Which the bank denied. Again we had more than enough to pay for the shower. When my boyfriend went in to settle everything he was told that Corprate has already been called and they advised that we pay in full immediately or they were going to press charges. we had came up in good faith to pay as it was the threat was not warranted and as the check is being written they inform my boyfriend Corprate also stated they would not compensate for the extra drive. All this while hostility repeating they will call the cops and it "will not go good for you" The manager can clearly see another check is being written but he continues to threaten and berate my boyfriend.After he come out to the car and told me what happened I called the store asking for Corprate office phone number only to be told by Katlyn she would not give it to me, no she would not transfer me to a manager but she would transfer me to whatever department I needed help in (I did not identify myself or my concern to her)So it is Menards policy to not let a customer speak to anyone but it is also the customers fault that somewhere an employee lost checks or money. It is the customers responsibility to go out of their way to fix an instore issue and it is the right of a store manager to treat customers so deplorable.This letter is not only going on review but I will be sending a copy to Corprate (as I have their number now) as well as to the BBB in a formal complaint.No customer service except to grunt and point in a general direction from the store doors back towards the back. We were looking for paint. When asked if they had a certain item the employee shrugged and rolled his eyes before walking away. I refuse to set foot back in there.

The store carries a limited stock of consumables compared to twin cities stores. For example auto supplies are weak as well as lawn and garden, in particular a lack of trees and shrubs. Inventories in the food section are poorly maintained. Often normal regular consumables are out of stock.Inconsistency results in lost loyalty. Hardware section seems to be well maintained. Pricing is fair but not always competitive with Walmart. Overall you are an asset to the Falls community..

Have had bad experiences with special orders. Two out of three orders I have placed have been incorrect. Be sure to inventory everything and you can't believe the sticker on the outside. I ordered 8in ridgecap and that's what it said on the box but when I went to put it on the roof it turned out to be 6in. I ordered 1.25in J-channel and that's what it said on the outside of the package but when I opened it I found out it was .75in. I had a crew of guys set up and took the week off work for nothing. Two to three week delay. Everybody shrugged their shoulders. It seems to be very poor quality control at the Eau Claire WI location.

This place has a LOT! There are so many options! Replacing kitchen counters? They have many options to choose from! Need new lighting? I have never seen a bigger section of lights than at Menards! Lawn care or decorating? They have soil, grass seeds, and many perfect little gnomes to add a special touch! They even have miscellaneous grocery options! Customer service is great, too! There are many employees ready to help!

Seriously whatever you’re looking for. They probably have it here. My god, they even have a little grocery section. People here are very helpful. If they can’t find something they’re going to go find another staff person to help them help you. Very friendly. The stores well laid out with signage everywhere.

I bought Windows to be shipped to Kenora. Good products but very poor customer service. I made a mistake ordering the correct window casing depth. I then spoke to them on multiple occasions and we came up with a solution to simply order the extension jambs and to fix the windows myself. From the employee to the manager, I kept receiving reassurances that my file would be dealt with but no one ever did.

Shopping experience and checkout are good. However, bad experience with returns. Manager specified I could buy a replacement for a purchased product that was defective (since I didn’t have it with me) and that I could bring it in later and get refunded. I get there on Monday and they say they can’t refund me, they can only give me in store credit and the manager apologized for not giving the right information. All acceptable so far, however, they then refuse to give me all my in store credit for the purchase 2 days prior because the defective product was on sale. Now not only did the manager lie about getting me a refund but even the in store credit would short me $60. Should be a 1 to 1 ratio or an exchange.

It can be a good store to go to but unfortunately up here in international Falls Minnesota it is a small town and as soon as they decide they don't like you or they assume you stole something you're on their s**t list. Which means anything you may or may not have done is irrelevant!

Living in Fort Frances,Ontario.We just have manard to buy home improvements stuff.I place special order worth over x amount and paid us taxes .They did not inform me that your order is ready for pickup where as they took my number and promised will inform you okkkk but they did not bad customer service.i have to call after 1 month I was thinking may be shortage of materials but no no....When I was there for pickup I bought 4k more stuff I asked a favor since I am buy lots of lumbar can you deliver all this together (previous order and this one).There answer was yes but when I asked now since it's all gonna be delivery,could I have my state taxes I paid on my first order which is over $196.00 in US dollars.There point blank answer is no we can't I explain if you return all my first receipt and I will buy with an option of delivery I could save me not paying US state taxes. But his answer was sorry .I can not help really 🙃 😕 🙂 😒Could anyone help....What a wonderful customer service 👏 👌 😀 🙄

I love the variety of items they have. Very thankful for the young man in the lumber yard tonight. We looked for 45 minutes to find the treated 1x6's we paid for inside. My husband went back inside and no one was at the lumber desk. We found the young man and he ended up cutting the 16 foot into two for us. So were able to get the 8 1x6's that we paid for. Thank you for your help!

I am a so Cal girl and went here for the first time while in town visiting family. Store was clean and quiet, just the way I like it. Well stocked and staff was friendly. Jeremy H. best employee in the building! ;) I would shop here again.

People go to menards in I-Falls because there is no where else to go. Great selection, unfriendly service. I always get the feeling they help you because it's their job, not because they want to help and this is only after you hunt someone down. The overall friendliness of I-Falls is not in this store.

Menards in I falls is a great place to get almost anything. The prices are good and anything I need to make my house my own is right there. The staff are very helpful. The rebates you can get for some items are great. They will send you a rebate if you live in Canada too! Free guest wifi in the store, bathrooms are good and I like the self serve warehouse out back. It's nice to be able to drive right up to what you need

I've always had a good experience at this location. When I have needed help I have been able to get exactly what I needed by talking to the person who I see there most often. Clean store. Good hours. We haven't done special orders or in store pickup so we can't comment on those parts.

Some staff are very helpful, others have no idea about anything. Jerry Forbes, is an asset to this store because he really helped me out when there was a big problem with my "special ordered windows" that got really mixed up! I really enjoy shopping at this store👍🏼

Mike the manager was so helpful, I ordered some Windows into Canada and there was an issue shipping and then a refund with the difference in exchange. I ended up loosing a few bucks in their mistake but am going to be back because they have great deals!

Got what I needed today. There are just 2 suggestions I have. 1 is the yard needs to have either visable markers or signs helping the customer head in the right direction.2. The cashiers need a little more hands on training oh how to proceed when letting a customer finish baging there purchased items and taking there recipte ,,,,,,,, before they send the next customers items down the line crowing your own and there recipte shoving yours out of the slot!We have a great Menards here!Every state and business is struggling to stay staffed, but a little more hands on training would benefit both store and employee!!

As I'm writing this I've been waiting an hour and a half for someone to come back with a pallet of window well covers. This place stinks. Save your money, make a trip to Target or home depot.Update: that hour and a half was all for nothing. They didn't have the item in stock. Thanks menards, my kids birthday is ruined.

Have been in the flooring looking at carpet for a half he and no one around. Walked down to a area with 6 employees standing around and they told us we would have to wait for a Shane to get put of a meeting for service. In all my years of retail I have never blown customers off and act like it is not my problem to help out. Horrible sales, to bad the Hom Depot isn't close by. Its a 2 bd apt we are trying to order for.

This store is a joke! I liked Menards...until this store made me realize that Menards doesn't care about their customers. Customer service is not key to this company! We have had problem after problem! The employees and managers say they can't do anything to compensate for our wasted time! Well when we drive 2 hours to pick up a special order we have the right to expect it to be in good condition. We ordered 70 pieces of pre finished white trim. I was okay if there were some dings and dents but nope...they had HUGE forklift gauges in basically all of them! So we only could take a few. They had to expedite the rest of our order and told us they would call us as soon as they came in. Well they didn't call. They came in and we had to be the ones to call. We drove 2 hours to get them and once again the whole order is damaged. They have delayed us moving in by 3 weeks! We have had to pay rent, storage space, and contractors in this time Menards has been wasting for us! And NO compensation at all! You can't tell me a company this big can't write out a gift card, give us some Menards money for all the you or they have put us through. Well I guess not that is why I now know Menards is a corporate joke! They don't care about their customers and never will. I won't be returning and neither will our contractors, our family, friends, anyone we tell this story to! Thank you Menards for helping us realize how much you DO NOT CARE about anyone but yourselves and your money!

They don't have the common sense to throw down some salt or sand in the parking lot during the winter so people don't fall. I've been hearing I'm not the only one this has happened to. Does someone haft to get hurt really bad for them to do something. You sell both salt and sand during the winter feel free to throw some down.

Prices are always lower than Canadian Tire even with exchange and paying the bridge toll. Instead of waiting for an item to go on sale at 75% off at Canadian tire, I just pay the regular price at Menards, it's usually cheaper. Desiree the front end manager is always polite and helpful.

I was told somthing was used and could not bring back. So how do you know if it works how you want it too???? And when you argue that point Ryan throws your items on counter to hit you. Hope they get closed down and a walmart comes to town. Better prices same quality, no bs if you need to take somthing back.
