Stayed here while skiing at giant's ridge earlier this year. Probably the best hotel in the area that I've stayed at while going to giant's ridge. Quiet, cozy, and way cleaner than most other hotels in the area. The front desk guy was really nice and friendly. The pool was decent as well, spacious and we had the whole place to ourselves. The rooms are a little old school but still nice and really comfortable. Breakfast was also good for what we needed. Fuel for a day on the slopes! Overall very cute place and will be returning.

Our son lives close by with a very small house & 4 dogs so no room 4 ma & dad. I think we've stayed here 6,7,8 times over past 5 yrs. Very clean, very hospitable,fresh cookies at front desk, if need extra supplies, front desk is very helpful & friendly. Very positive 1st impression of reception area. Rates very reasonable. As long as son & grandson are here you can find us checked in hear! 👍👍👍👍👍

Stayed with a snowmibile club for 4 nights. Terrible !! Had to change room card key 3 times the first day and again the next day. Then next day room key card not working again ! They reissued each of us 3 room key cards. Worked once then hour later all room key cards dont work at all. Had to walk back to service desk every time every day. Finally on last day they called maintenanceMy 80 yr old friend walked towards building on the side. We had to stay and open door for friends because both side doors werent functioning. Must enter main entrance every time. Anyway he tripped over an uneven sidewalk and fell towards us almost hitting his head on the door.Bad sidewalks no access on both side doors. Bathroom ceiling show history of leaks from aboveGas station nearby had no NON-OXYGENATED gas for snowmobilesBreakfast was fair.Will not stay there again.

Overcharged, hidden fees, and had our room keys deactivated.This was really unfortunate. The hotel mistakenly took our reservation as two adults and a child per room. This is odd because we explicitly said no children on the phone and signed in with all adults as we checked in. But no biggie, we could work that out. Nope... Instead, they turned off our room keys. No call, no communication.The next morning we approached the front desk. We were told an additional 30% charge per room was being added to our bill.A silly miscommunication was escalated much further than it needed to be which tarnished the entire stay, left us without access to our belongings and resulted in a 30% fee. The hot tub felt nice, but this felt worse. I would recommend looking elsewhere. Last thing you want from a vacation is a headache.

Great little hotel in Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota. The building staff are very polite and friendly, and accommodating as well.We were told the breakfast times when we checked in and were asked if we needed breakfast available any earlier in case we were leaving before 5:30-6. Breakfast was pretty darn good by most hotel standards.The beds are pretty firm but I personally like a firm mattress. Air conditioner in my room worked great. Overall good experience! Will be back!

Need more variety for breakfast instead of all the carbs that are offered. The hard boiled eggs where gross. Also the satellite kept going in and out which was better then no satellite at all when we first got there. Told the front desk about it and they said there was nothing that they could do. But they have the box behind the TV and we just reset the box.

Fantastic hotel. Rooms had all of the amenities that one requires when travelling. Great quality TV and the clock radio next to the bed was a nice touch. There is no clothes wash service, but there is a coin operated washer and dryer. The breakfast, however is not the best.

My wife and I went there last year for our Anniversary. Had the best time of our life!! Swam in the pool, soaked in the whirlpool, went for a long walk!! Went out for Dinner. Had breakfast the next morning. Never had a problem the whole day. Would recommend staying there!! Staff was very friendly!!

First let me say the front desk night person was super helpful. With that said we had a bathroom that had urine on the back of the toilet seat and down to the floor. We asked to have it cleaned and the desk person came and cleaned it asap and apologized. The explanation was the hotel has new employees that do not clean well.We go to turn down the bed and there is a long brown pillow in the middle of the bed for decoration. I noticed it was not a pillow that has a case on it and how do they keep them cleaned in between use? After saying it we noticed the white stains on it. The stains were facing away from us towards the other pillows. Bed 2 had the same soiled brown pillow. We were then given another room the head housekeeper cleansMuch better room but again bathroom had a soiled seat. We cleaned it ourselves.We received a twenty dollar reduction on our bill for the inconvenience. We will not be staying there again nor will we recommend it to others. Shame on the hotel for knowingly having such a serious problem with staff and not fixing it asap.

The Country Inn of Hoyt Lakes is a great spot to stay. The staff is accommodating and patient. When I checked in there was something wrong with the available room, they offered me an upgrade at the same price they quoted me at. I was able to bring my furry companion, which is always a plus. I called ahead of time with 100 questions and they were very patient every time. Breakfast is average and ok. Their seating area in the lobby is very cozy. They have a fireplace with intimate seating, which makes you feel at home. The room was clean. The TV is nice. WiFi connection is reliable. Overall, very satifactory place to stay.

A little outdated & found a pill under the nightstand while cleaning up my sons toys which was a little scary considering I had 2 two year olds in the room. Other than that it was a decent room, breakfast was good.

Stranded in the Iron range walked in to get room for the night and need a ride to Isabela in morning not very many people would do what this manager deed for me she with out hasatation said she would take me to my vehicle several miles away anyway about the room one of the best places.i have ever stayed beds great rooms cozy no noise breakfast in morning the best great continental breakfast the best for last water pressure in shower unbelievably the best I have ever had like I said I love this place in middle of nowhere there's country inn hoyt lake that'll take good care of ya all

Not clean at all mold growing in the coffee pot. I had stuff in the fridge and when they were refreshing the room thy turn the fridge off and the you have to open the fridge to do that so they know that I was full. When complaining about it to the front desk that the stuff in the fridge was now ruined they say that there was nothing they could do about it and that to bad. On top of that very poor attitude and service all around.

This was a very cozy family oriented hotel. The continental breakfast was awesome and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again!

Had a gift certificate to stay at the Country Inn of H. Lakes, I honestly thought I had more than a month to use it and that month went by and it had expired. They would not let me use it, even during the midweek off season. I was so disappointed! My kids were very much looking forward to staying there!

I stayed here several times in 2016 and now I'm back in 2017 for work. Friendly staff , clean nice rooms . Great pool and spas. I would recommend this place to everybody.

This place makes you feel like you never left your house. But there is one downside when we where there their also was a ski race, which means kids and we all know what kids bring energy, Laughter, and allot of screaming. When they where gone it was amazing!

Our stay was excellent--despite the weather. Country Inn of Hoyt Lakes has great accommodations at a great rate. To top it off, the General Manager, Suzanne Bowman, was superb. She was most helpful-our son needed a prescription refilled and she went above and beyond in helping us obtain it. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is friendly. Free basic breakfast. Mini-fridge, wi-fi and cable in room. It is expensive for the amenities and location, likely because there is no competition.
