Excellent Air BnB! Very clean, very comfortable beds. The flannel sheets were a nice touch. The house rules are straight forward, sensible, and easy to follow. The grounds are beautiful. Interacting with the dogs was an awesome way to start our day of adventuring. I will be visiting again next time I'm in MN.

Linda is a great hostess! We stayed in one of her cabins, (no electric, no running water) it was clean, inviting, and a wonderful experience. Points Unknown is known for sled dogs, hiking, and much more. We met and helped feed the dogs...it was a great time. We look forward to returning that in the future.

Points Unknown is one of the most professional, educational and well-run kennels you will find anywhere in the country. Linda's deep care for the animals' health and happiness are apparent in every step she takes to make the kennel as welcoming and comfortable as possible for people and dogs alike. The sled adventures are spectacularly beautiful and the wilderness around Points Unknown is perfect for summer activities and canoeing as well. Cannot recommend enough!

We toured here a few years ago, I remember the dogs were beautiful, and the cabin was cute- but the host was rude. I will chalk it up to the array of human personalities and some just seem to clash. Our group will not be back.

We had a wonderful experience. Linda & her crew did an amazing job! Kenna & Annabelle excellent mushers. The dogs are beautiful & well cared for - very friendly & sweet too. We enjoyed our playtime time with the pups & dogs. So fun to learn how to harness the dogs to the sled. Would highly recommend this for a couple or family outing!

The dog sled adventure was a highlight of our winter vacation in northern MN. The ride through the forest is beautiful. The dogs are well cared for, so happy to run, friendly with the kids, and will pose for all the photos you want to take. Linda responds quickly to email, and gives clear instructions once you arrive at Points Unknown.

I had the most amazing experience at Points Unknown! It is obvious that Linda and crew love what they do and want to share it with others. The dogs are so well cared for and smart. Be ready to learn and help, which makes the whole experience complete. I highly recommended planning a sled dog adventure with them.

We loved our time at Points Unknown today! We learned about the dogs and the sleds, then our group went out on a run and had the experience of a lifetime. We also took home some of Linda’s beautiful handmade beeswax candles. She runs a very professional outfit which was well worth visiting.Service: Private tours

Points Unknown is premium, amazing, and has become one of my favourite places. I cannot stop thinking about it. I love dogs, people, dogsledding, travelling, and the outdoors so I was in my heaven on earth. I attended The Women's Weekend Adventure and it exceeded my expectations. From the owner to the staff and of course the dogs, it was super. The owner Linda takes such excellent care of her dogs and knows everything about them. Linda is a great teacher and mentor and my mushing experience was fantastic! I felt so welcome and comfortable among everyone in the home and the accommodations, food was excellent.I could go on and on, so just contact them and go.Kathy Chappell

We stayed at Linda's Airbnb for two nights and loved it! It is completely off grid, so don't expect to get any signal or wifi here. For us, it was super nice to spend time in Grand Marais (about 35 mins out) and get some signal, then hike and come back here at night to get away from the constant influx of communication. We were also able to take part in a small part of her daily lifestyle by helping to feed her beautiful dogs. Absolutely looking forward to returning, especially in winter when we can do some sledding! Do note: though it didn't bother us, the huskies do howl at night sometimes, so if you are staying here, keep that in mind!*Edited for howl! 😅

What an incredible experience. Where can you rent a beautiful guest suite where you can feed and pet sled dogs! More like sled pets they are so well trained. From winter dog sledding adventures to summer hiking, paddling, and cani-cross there is so much to do. (Tour the bees wax candle making space too!) Don't wait. We did the kennel tour and got to meet all the dogs! Watching their evening feeding routine was wonderful and Linda was great at explaining all the relationships and dynamics between the dogs. I'll definitely be back for one of the dogsledding adventures!

What a magical experience, gliding through the pristine winter woods, pulled by a team of dogs reveling in their element! Points Unknown provides exciting, educational adventures from half-day to extended lifestyle immersion events. Our adventure began as we got to know our team, all well-behaved and eager to run. We snuggled into a cozy, zip-up bag with hot water bottles at our feet, then off we went, swooshing around curves and following the varied terrain of immaculately kept trails. We returned to a warm fire and an assortment of hot drinks and snacks. The staff was very welcoming and courteous, as well as providing a wealth of iinformation about the dogs and the Points Unknown mission. Thank you for a wonderful adventure!

We had a great time with these ladies. They were very professional and handled their dogs with care. They were most accommodating to us in -7 degree weather with a windchill of -20. We had a great time and love to support some local business.Service: Private tours

Recently, I had the Guest Suite all to myself for 3 days. One morning I woke up feeling totally relaxed and I looked up at the gorgeous woodwork above me, down at the gleaming hardwood floors, over to the kitchen area backsplash of stones from Lake Superior, and these words just spilled out: "Thank you." My gratitude was for Linda, her vision of a creating a little haven in the middle of the boreal forest, for all the work that went into making and maintaining such a place, for the kindness and hospitality, for hearing Linda's beautiful Hedlund Huskies singing to the stars the night before, and for the pure magic of knowing such a place exists.
