Decent food... High Priced. Mediocre servings. Very small salad bar.However this is in a very small town.You would expect the wait staff to be dressed in clean, neat clothes.There is nothing at Hillcrest that makes it a "Supper Club" except the name and the prices.So all in all, it's more of a bar and grill with the bar separate from the dining room, poorly dressed (meaning dirty and sloppy looking clothes) wait staff that offers decent food.

Stopped in at 7pm for Prime Rib on Saturday night - all gone :( We had the seafood platter, walleye, and chicken strips. It was all good. Misty made our visit even better with some stories from Funkley!!

The last two times times I have been here, they have been sold out of prime rib. We made a reservation an hour after they opened. Waited 20min after our reservation just to get a drink order and not even be able to fully put in our drink order before being inturped. I've been in the service industry, Maybe consider ordering more if you know this is a popular item.

Good service, good food. A place to hang up you coat and worries at the door and have a good evening. Came in for a bit and found it to be a cozy bar/restaurant. To bad I'm only in the area for 1 night otherwise I'd be coming back the next night.

Ness and Shelly made this Texas traveler feel very welcomed to their establishment. And Trista is a wonderful dining hostess.The fried walleye was absolutely fantastic! The meat was fresh, flaky, and hot to the very last bite. The breading was perfect! Just the right amount and so crispy and flavorful, without a hint of grease. Add the salad bar and you've got a meal.Friendly locals make this a place you'd want to go back to. And if you're lucky, the mayor of Moose Point might be there to offer some advise on fishing Blackduck!

Jim is a great chef, and Shelly is very personable. I love the relaxed atmosphere, and you just can’t get a better view of the lake. Always a good time at the Hillcrest in Blackduck, MN. Lobster and steak, or pizza, Jim always makes sure it’s just right for his customers. They are all gracious hosts at the Hillcrest.

Been coming here for over 40 years, Jim and his staff are the best! Hillcrest has beautiful views, great service and wonderful food. The only disappointment you'll have is if you don't stop in for for dinner!

✨Oh my gosh!!!The best food ever.🤤Went with 9 people and everyone loved it.Great for when no one wants to cook and you want a great motherly meal. Parking: Parking is great lots of space. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp to go in to dine.

Waited well over 8min to be seated. If you're a cabin goer and not a local you are definitely treated a bit differently. The hostess was rude! So we left and went back over to the Pond to have a cheeseburger. They have a much friendlier staff!

Love the salad bar. Ribeye was cooked PERFECTLY! The prime rib before that was also awesome. Much better than everywhere in Bemidji....and a better price too.

Great service! The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating for a last-minute mother's day dinner. The salad bar was great for a small restaurant, and the walleye was fantastic!

Been coming to Blackduck/Hines since 1991. Hillcrest has been always an awesome place to eat and relax. The best item is their fried scalllops and baked potato. Hillcrest offers a beautiful view of Blackduck Lake and a relaxing environment.

Even though that Logan patch gave a poor review I believe this is one of the best places in blackduck to eat. And I believe if you have a problem you should go to the owner I know from experience he will fix any problem

My favorite place to eat in blackduck, Saturday nights being my favorite of course. Really enjoy the salad bar and our waitresses was super friendly and checked in on us in timely manners.
