What a great little escape! Went to the casino for a weekend away and stopped at this gem on the way home for some breakfast and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and felt like I was right at home! The service was great and everything you get for a great price. The cinnamon rolls are a must! Was not disappointed and highly would recommend it to anyone in the area or driving by!

Great local cafe open 7am-2pm with breakfast available during all open hours. Very clean dining area, service was friendly and prompt and also helpful navigating the menu. Food was hot and fresh, the lovely woman who runs the place was also bussing tables and helping in the kitchen. Excellent option in the area, much better than the tourist trap closer to the interstate. Quaint diner offering delicious food with hometown service in a clean updated space - highly recommended!

So glad we stopped in to the Whistle Stop. It was the best Patty Melt I've ever had! Great little mom and pop restaurant!Didn't think to take pics until we had a few bites, but everything was fantastic!

Stopped in for breakfast. French toast was really good. Also got the smoke stack which was awesome. Bed of hash browns with sausage Pattie’s and eggs drowned in gravy. Delicious.Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Small town feel.

Great food, good prices, and friendly staff. All the dishes we tried were amazing. Hot chocolate with whipped cream was literally overflowing, resulting in squeals of excitement from the kids. Free coffee refills are a huge plus. Real old school diner with an old school feel.Parking: Parking is in the street and a lot off to the side.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids when we were dining in.

The small town cafe has it’s charm, its busy and well liked in the area.The service is great, but the food was tasteless. A big portion for a low price but over all nothing to rave about. I didn’t think a simple eggs, hash browns and toast could be bland.Had coffees, a couple engineer breakfasts, and caramel roll. The caramel roll was good warmed up.The higher rating is due to service being great.

Really good! I'm always leery of places like this and I can be a little critical, but I left happy. The portions were perfect. The beef dinner was tender. It wasn't gourmet but it wasn't bar food or fast food and that's what we wanted.

This place was a delightful surprise. A waitress at a restaurant in the next town over recommended this place to us. Waitresses know. The food was the freshest, hottest food ever served. The homemade pies are delicious. Definitely go here for lunch or dinner. We haven't had breakfast there yet. The restaurant has a 99.9% happy customer rating.

Great all-day breakfast menu. Loved the variety of options. The chocolate chip pancakes were very flavorful. We had a variety of items in our large party, and the only miss was the hashbrowns had stale grease flavor. I thought the sausage patties were tasty. The country gravy was not a sausage gravy but still nice item on the menu. I would definitely go back.

Love this restaurant !Definitely will be returning next time I am in townI took my family here instead of going to the big restaurant down the road to try something different.Food was really tasty and fresh and very reasonably priced with good portions.Staff was very friendly, and everything in the restaurant was bright clean and cheery, and not very noisy compared to the other restaurant down the roadThey even have a guest book you can sign .I would definitely recommend you check this place out.

Adorable small town cafe!My kids loved the burgers on texas toast and my Reuben toast was pretty well done but the flavor made up for it!Make sure you take a homemade pie to go....french silk was the best I've ever had!

The Whistle Stop Cafe in Hinkley serves diner style food. The french toast was really good, as well as the eggs. The hashbrowns were a little oily. Previously I've had a hot beef sandwich and pie, all of which were good cafe food. The owner is a really down-to-earth, friendly person.

Amazing little mom and pop cafe. Great customer service and wonderful dishes. Even though it was busy as heck the waitresses never complained and seemed to love their job! I had the am train wreck and it was one of the best loaded hash browns I've ever had. My partner has the hamburger steak and gravy and the gravy was so so good. I also had the bread pudding and it was total delish.

Cute little cafe just off the highway on a quiet main street. When the family and I are on a road trip we like to eat at non-chain restaurants and this was perfect. The burgers, chicken strips and fries were delicious and the service was very friendly. We ordered pie to go. The presentation was not the best but she warned us about that and said it'll still taste great, which it did. Lol The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was it was a little on the spendy side but worth checking out!

Place looks like it has been remodeled recently and looks really nice. The curly fries were delicious, my malt was great. The only thing that was kind of lacking was the patty melt I had. Guessing with remodel there overhead is high and therefore needed to cut cost of there protein and choose a lesser quality of a beef patty which was lacking flavor.
