In August, 2022, on our way to Ely, MN, we spent some time in a small town of Hinckley and went to Grandma's Thrift Shop. There was a sign in the window, saying, “Free Ride in a Sheriff’s Car”; both Catherine and I for a moment thought that the local sheriff offered a free sightseeing ride for tourists and Catherine was almost ready to ask the store owner for more information.Yet there was no need, as the second part of the sign was totally self-explanatory: “If you Shoplift from the Store. Compliments of your Sheriff’s Office.” We spent some time in the store, which was very good, and had a good laugh, along the very pleasant owner, when we told him our initial misunderstanding!Needless to say, we did not qualify the for free ride in a Sheriff's car....

Been here many times and have always got what I was looking for and more. Very nice and helpful people. Make a special 1 hr.trip to go here. So welcoming. Thank you grandma's staff for all your help.

A stop in Hinkley is not complete until you visit Grandma's Thrift Store. I always find something unique and useful. Stop in after noon in the winter time. I think because of the snow opening times are later than posted here.

VERY reasonably priced! They have a great selection of everything. I found some hard to find records at $1.00 each. I will definitely be back everytime I'm in Hinckley.

I love Grandma's!! Not only do they have REAL thrift store prices, they are also the nicest people! If I have things I need or things to donate, this is my first stop!!

Adequate content at un-remarkable prices. FULL of staff and shoppers unmasked during Covid pandemic. Infections high in this region.
