This is a nice Walmart. Everything you could need almost. We shop here when we are at the Lake often. Cheaper here for a lot of things. It’s a very large location compared to other Walmarts. Staff are friendly and often if I have only a few items I use the self checkout so I can be in and out. There have been times the lines have been long on a busy holiday weekend. Something to keep in mind. They have some nice displays that have gone up in this store that I haven’t seen else where. Reminds me a little of that other big box store. From cards, medications, glasses, food, and big screen televisions you will find a lot here to get lost in if you want. The store is clean. I don’t use the restrooms so….

If you are going to lock up merchandise, please have someone available to unlock the cabinets. During day hours, it took waiting for over half an hour, pressing the service button several times, going to a self check out staff, going to customer service, and hunting down a manager twice just for him to finally come unlock it himself. Not to mention the staff working at self checkout was very rude when asking for help who stated “go to customer service I can’t leave my station.” While at customer service, the staff didn’t say a word but just looked at me, called over the intercom, then looked away. These interactions made me feel like I was being treated as a problem rather than trying to help. The manager was nice and finally helped but if you are going to lock up merchandise, customers should not have to go through all of that to buy a product. Staff should also at least try to pretend to like people and like their jobs.

Had another bad experience at Hibbing Walmart. I had my son come with me to get groceries because there is never a cashier and we always have to go through self checkout, which is hard for us elderly. My healthy benefits card was not working and we asked the lady that stands there and observes but she was not knowledgeable of anything to do with those cards. After trying several different ways to get the card to work She wanted me to go wait at customer service. It had been a long day I just had knee surgery and my back was aching. It seems like all the person that stands there and observes is all they are good for. Why are they not trained better? We asked if she could get someone over that is knowledgeable on what to do to help and she told us no. I called healthy benefits today and the failed card did not go through to their system. Been trying to call all day Human Resources or store operator does not answer. It is like their phones are unplugged. Extremely poor customer service at this store.

I had my oil changed on my car. I'd call before going to see how many cars were ahead of me. I went and I was the only one. I was in and out, and you couldn't beat the price $24.95

Other than being extremely busy today. Today being the day after Christmas 🎄 and who doesn't love the scan and go? I love it. But the times they stop you. And scan all of your stuff. Just to make sure you are being honest. 😳 but all in all the trip to wally world was satisfactory. And I didn't totally feel like I had left the country 😕

After Hibbing Walmart's new remodel that finished May 12th 2023, it is the most beautiful Walmart in the state! Definitely not your traditional Walmart!

Wouldn't replace a car battery with 2 years warranty left on it. Came up with every excuse they could think of. Went to another Walmart and they exchanged it no issue. I'd avoid this Walmart.

I liked this Walmart more than the one in my hometown .. . .. It's bigger and everything is PeRfEcTlY spaced out, besides the fact that I kinda got lost within the first few minutes of being there, but whatever I still found my way around the store . .. . . All the isles are labeled as to whats in them .. . .. Thats what I like the most . .. . Don't mind all the. .. . .. . After each sentence, it's a fascination that I have . .. . .

Always a good selection and friendly service. They have really cleaned up the way the stores look, but it's always a pain to learn the new setup.Also, it seems that when you need to ask where something is that I can't find anyone around.

BEWARE OF THIS SCAM - If it were possible to give a negative reading I would do so. They appear to be running a scam where they charge your credit card - then say it was denied - even though the screen you are looking at says "APPROVED". Then they tell you to use another card - and CHARGE YOU AGAIN. When you call the original card and ask what happened - turns out they never denied it - Walmart is just charging you twice. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM.

I'm editing my review from awhile back because things have changed and not for the better! So many of the employees are rude and act like the customers shouldn't even be in the store and make no effort to make room for the customers to get what they need. Last month I asked 1 of coaches I know he was a coach because of the shirt and tag he was wearing for help it would have taken him all of 2 seconds as he was literally right by what I wanted unlocked n he said I needed to find someone else to help me he was busy and by busy he was bringing empty boxes to the back! A lot of the employees who work up front cashier's and the 1s who are there for self checkout are pretty nice and I can't say enough good about those ones but there are a couple of females that work the 2nd shift self checkout that need attitude adjustments if they don't want to help the customers in self checkout then they shouldn't be working in that department they should be stocking shelves or working in the home shopping department instead!

Went for a return, should have at least gotten a Gift Card due to policy but once I called out the incompetent Manager he changed his story to "well I have the right to refuse service" cuz he was called out in front of people. Pathetic, lowly and unsurprisingly behavior from a scummy Walmart Manager. I managed to return it to Virginia, which has been Managerial Staff. I'm sooo sorry the Hibbing Manager and Store Managers were bullied as kids, but try not to let your insecurities show too much when on the job. I'll go ge pictures of them to add to this review, :)

Unhelpful staff: I have not once, but twice waited for someone or anyone to unlock a locked case for me to get some merchandise for over an hour, once was over 4 hours, but never less than 30 minutes. I have even had to call the store, while I was inside multiple times, maybe use the customer service skills you are supposed to be taught.

I Love shopping at Walmart and since they Remodeled the one in Hibbing I Love it even more. The Aisles are wider now and I Love that since I'm not into Large Crowds and hate I'm not very fond of always moving my cart over. If there happens to be a shortage on any item Walmarts Employees will tell me where I might find one. With the new Self Checkouts you can be In and Out in no time.

They are in the process of remodeling but lots of the shelves are empty. Plus there staff isn't as friendly n they don't know where or even what you might be looking for. The young college age workers are always grumpy and if you try to make a joke or just to get a smile you're going to get a smirk and they walk away. Highly recommend the Mt.Iron Walmart. The employees are always smiling and helpful.

Impossible to find a worker in the electronics an up to 2 hours before closing. extremely annoying since everything is locked up now. which it seems that one person who has the key, just went on break. oddly common perfect timing.

The staff are amazing wonderful loving people although they fired my friend Amy cause her husband Shawn was hospitalized for major health problems she almost lost her home due to the firing they did we as humans need to stall cost build up on if other to creat a more loving environment for our youth not teach hate however unconditional love

Went to this Wal-Mart on a busy Saturday but the store looked fantastic. Shelves were full and the store was clean. Had a great experience with the cashier at check out. This Wal-Mart is a good one to stop at.

Invariably crowded, understaffed and poorly equipped to achieve good results in nearly all visible ways. The staff are regular, good people by and large, no different than any other group of people you might think of, but the culture of corporate control, with all it's dehumanizing impersonality, visible frugality so profound as to be problematic to absolutely everyone involved, including Walmart itself, and total disregard for any of the actual people involved in the entirety of the retail process at any level, from conception to consumption. This is reflected very obviously in their early and eager adoption of self checkouts, through to the selling points of their branded membership service (which is legit worth it if you shop there at all btw) which include delivery, drive up and scan as you go services all designed, very overtly, to remove the people from every point of the process. That's not inherently evil per se, but it does indicate the priority list fairly obviously and visibly. I'm not against a business making money or whatever, and cost savings via efficiency is obvious enough as well, but as my dad would put it, "You reach a point of diminishing returns". There guys take that concept, apply it to money and carry it to an extent that would make Henry Ford or Thomas Edison nod with respect.To be clear, that last is said with absolutely no due respect and all offense intended. If you look up to either of these guys, you might consider going over those particular biographies with a somewhat updated lens than you might have had in 8th grade when they come up in history class with much applause that college later teaches you they didn't actually earn in any way.

My 18 year old daughter with Zero automotive knowledge blew a tire. I sent her to Walmart to get a new one. First they told her they wouldn't sell her just one, then they said they would but wouldn't install on the vehicle. I told them no problem, I'll send someone to mount on vehicle in their parking lot. My daughter calls me and asks how do I get the old tire off the rim and the new tire on? Come to find out, walmart employee sold her just the tire and sent her on her way. No mounting, no balancing- just the tire! Are you kidding me? I am in the automotive industry and would never take advantage of a customer's lack of knowledge on a subject and/or act like a fool in my profession. Will never again be visiting the automotive dept at this location again. Would give 0 stars if I could.

If you like to wait in line for self check out then your in luck! This place never has employees working registers but can gossip and walk around lost. It takes 3 employees to put pop away. Better to go to Super One
