I'm gonna be honest, I normally stay away from these kind of hardware stores. The staff never leaves you alone, I must have been harassed 5 times while I'm trying to do some shopping. I'm guessing they think people are too stupid to figure things out on their own so they think everyone needs help. I don't know about you, but being treated like I'm stupid is a real thumps down.I would suggest that you just let people ask for help.

it's very uncomfortable how the employees basically stalk you while you shop and ask 300 times if you need help. don't insult my intelligence. if I needed to be pointed in the right direction, I'd ask. I know everyone is not the same way but it's excessive and honestly makes me think twice about shopping here. every time.

Only person getting this 1 star is the manager Sam. He was rude when helping me and a bit sassy. As a manager I expect more professionalism but felt like I was talking to a 16 year old.

I love this store. the entire staff is helpful and welcoming. i never have to look for anything because they know where it is! The store itself is clean and organized. Ive gone to bigger places in town and after wandering around for ages I find out they dont even carry what im looking for. Thats why i highly recommend ace. if they donr have it they will order it. And if your looking for bait youve come to the right place! They have it all at ace!

The employees are very helpful. As soon as you step foot into the store, someone will approach you and ask if you would need help finding something. I'm a new home owner. Fixing things is not easy. When ever I stop in for help, they are always more than happy suggest and show me how to fix stuff. I feel very comfortable buying my house needs at ACE.

I went in with very little knowledge of how the FedEx dropoff there works. Ann was very helpful in getting everything I needed so that I could send my documents out right away. I was fully prepared to have to go to two other places to get everything I needed, but she said no need, I can help you! Thanks Ann!

Nice store with helpful staff. Only thing I dislike is the points system they use, seems like I’m never able to use the mail coupons, need a simplistic system that rewards people at the checkout line.

Nice store! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well organized. Very reasonably priced. I bought one of those Garden Hopper rolling storage/seats for $20 LESS than it would have been at Walmart. I will definitely be shopping there again.

I was really impressed at how respectfully I was treated on two recent occasions by everyone on staff that I interacted with. I was greeted by a woman who used her walkie to get me immediate help in the department I needed and then given helpful and interested attention by an older gentleman and another man on some questions I had about wire sizes. It was nice to be taken seriously and not talked down to as you sometimes get being a woman in a hardware store. My questions were clearly important to them. I highly recommend this hardware store!!

Generally succeeds in keeping me away from the big box stores out of Hastings. Great for a lot of home maintenance items; they will get the right person to answer your questions. I like the purchasing coop model that allows stores to retain their independence.

A super helpful team of handy helpers are always there to greet you at the door and find what you need. From household fix it project items, to a beautiful new mower, we love the convenience and service of our Hastings Ace Hardware. We're so fortunate to have them near our home. They've saved the day on quite a few occasions.

Disappointed with quality of help received. Two gentlemen attempted to help me find the valve I needed, but gave up quickly. When I mentioned that their website said they had it in stock one responded that "it's usually not up to date" ... standard response. I continued to look on my own and found the valve in a matter of a few minutes. I let them know that I had indeed found it and showed it to them. They seemed happy but genuinely surprised. To be fair, they did try.

Their service is excellent. Very helpful & knowledgeable. Will deliver large loads such as 10 bags of mulch and/or dirt. Have variety of cleaning, BBQing, and seasonal canning items.Only thing, Be prepared to wear your mask as not all employees wear masks if I remember correctly. If wrong sorry. Cash registers need plexiglass. Always a good experience though.

I've visited this Ace a number of times and on each visit the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. On one occasion, I went in to exchange my Craftsman socket wrench and the process was very quick and easy. I definitely recommend this Ace.

I went to the Ace Hardware in Hastings yesterday to get 2 deadbolt locks rekeyed. What a Great store. All the Staff was very friendly and helpful. They make the customer feel very Special. Highly recommend to anyone in need of Hardware Supplies.

Not exactly sure what guy helped me but i was a mess coming in looking for some wood pieces to help me fix a bed frame I broke. He not only made my day by helping me find a better deal but he also cut the wood up for me there! Amazing customer service!!!! Thank you

Can't get 2 foot in the door without being asked "what are you looking for?" Always feel like I'm not aloud to look though store on my own. Or like they don't trust me. I'll take my business elsewhere , where I don't feel like they think I'm going to rob them.

Seriously, Ace is the place! Huge inventory.Needed a special part for my door nob, not only did they have it but showed me exactly how to install it.Best customer service ever. Go to Ace for everything!
