This shop is one of the greatest motorcycle shops in the greater Minnesota metropolitan area. Hands down. The owner of the place is a stand up guy! I had my bike that I inherited from my father start on fire while riding just a few miles from this shop, ans when I called to see if they had what I needed to fix the damages caused by the fire, I was told to come on in, and if I needed they had a small trailer I could use to get my bike off of the side of the highway. I didnt trailer it but rather brought the burnt parts in to match up so I could repair it on the spot where it started on fire. I was in a bad place that day and this event just solidified my already rancid mood! But the owner ordered some new oil line and handed me the relay I needed and when I asked what the damage was he replied with..... "Its on me man, I got this, you've had a tough enough time do let me help you by doing this for you" in a sense of the word this man by that somple gesture somewhat restored my faith in humanity that had all but faded by this point. Sir you are a genuine good person and I thoroughly appreciate your kindness that day. Absolutely one of those things I will pay forward whenever I can. This is the go-to place ! These gentlemen are top notch !!!!!! A person couldn't ask for better to do all phases of work on their bikes . They are extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, and honest , very decently priced !!!!!! I work and build Harleys but do to some issues beyond my control, I am unable to do any work presently . I personally would never bring any of my bikes to harley-davidson in fact to pretty much anyone but I won't think twice about bringing any of my bikes to Hamel without a single worry in mind ......

These guys perform miracles! My ‘01 Road Glide needed a new tuner and Bobby and Bruce absolutely nailed it!! I gave them a 21 year old Harley that started hard, sucked fuel, and didn’t always perform like it should - and they gave me back a brand new bike! Couldn’t be happier with their work - and don’t even get me started about how honest and hard working this crew is.. next level for sure 🤘😎🤘

Bobby and Bruce were great to work with. I threw a head pipe and clutch springs on my fltrxs and Bruce put in a new throttle body and intake for me. Bobby had it on the dyno that afternoon and I picked it up the next morning. Great work and great prices, they have my business now

Great place, brought my front tire in and they got it replaced in no time, perfect balance, very quick, and for a great price!Would go to them for repairs and maintenance but unfortunately they don't work on Metric bikes, but I have a few friends that went there for Harley work and Hamel Power came highly recommended!

Bobby, Bruce and JD are the best. These guys know Harley inside out, upside down and backwards. I initially took my Springer in for leaky primary and transmission seals and new ignition. They found some additional things that needed addressing and helped me out big time. I love doing business with people like them. I will forever support and recommend Hamel Power. Love this place. They do good work &l take pride in what they do. Went in one time with a squeaky brake issue, & they fixed it for free! The boss is a blast! Say "Hi" to izzy. The shop isn't corporate or organized like the BIG shops, but there is a down home feel to it. You can tell the building is older. Things are loosey goosey here, but the workmanship is top notch - if they cannot correct your problem, they will tell you where to go. They like to work on Harleys & shy away from older bikes. I have a Yamaha cruiser & they were happy to help. Lot of bikes out front. The place is a little difficult to find, but worth the hunt.

I have known these guys for 15+ years and quality of work they do is impeccable. They treat you like family here. Prices are very good, I won’t even compare them with dealership prices. Level of expertise is outstanding, guys in the shop know their stuff inside and out. And Bobby won’t sell you the farm. Unlike dealerships they won’t have matricks and Parts targets to hit- they will only sell you what you need - nothing more and nothing less. That is my experience with Hamel Power. If you have not been there I would highly recommend them.

Went over estimate a bit, but still half the price of the dealer. They put new fork sliders on my bike, which turned out great. They also replaced a toe shifter shaft...they had to drill out a screw I had busted the head off of. They then re-tapped the shift linkage. The issue is they tapped both sides of the shift linkage so that it wouldn't get tight on the shaft, it was loose and sloppy. I spent 5 minutes at home and drilled out one side of the tap, snugged it up nicely.

I needed some work done on my motorcycle, however, after stopping by the shop, they explained they didn't have any mechanics, whatsoever, that could work on a carbureted motor.Since when doesn't anyone have knowledge of how engines have worked for years, and years? Do they not teach carbureted motor work in the tech schools, any longer?

I have been having my bikes and now my gal's bikes worked on and stored with Bobby, Bruce, et al at Hamel Power going on 3 years now. There is none better in the area. I moved about 30 minutes further away and still make the trek because of the OUTSTANDING, personable, HIGH QUALITY, EXCELLENT service Bobby and his skilled team provide. Bobby is a classic, wonderful guy who has a passion for serving his customers that is unparalleled, I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and his team/business. Started with a dynotune and has grown into multiple things on multiple bikes, there is none better. Price is MUCH better than any HD dealer will come close to and the service, quality, and customer service are FAR SUPERIOR to HD. I will never take my bikes elsewhere.Michael McGreevey

I went into the shop the other day, with what I thought may have been a front fork issue, but I wasn't sure. I had called in, and they said that if I came in, they would check it quick.______________________________________________________________________I got there and could tell they were slammed, there were tons of bikes because everyone was getting ready for Sturgis. But sure enough, as promised, Bobby came right out and within about 2 minutes of being there and telling him what all was going on, he hopped on my bike, and took for a spin to see what how bad it was. He came back, diagnosed the problem, pointed out a couple of other minor deficiencies that could be, and should be fixed in the near future, and completely resolved my problem. Oh, and because it was such a quick check, he said not to worry about paying for the time, I know it didn't take long, but the other shop I called (Empire Cycle) said it would be between $30-$60 just for them to take a look at it.______________________________________________________________________ The entire time I was at Hamel Power I received great help, and one of the guys in the shop even snagged me a water for while I waited. I know that may not be typical protocol, but just the all around experience that I received in the shop was unsurpassable. I know if I need some work on my bike, I won't be going any where else. Definitely worth the drive! (Even though I live about 25 minutes away, and there are a few closer shops)

The owner of this motorcycle, Jake, brought this motorcycle out to his local Harley-Davidson dealership and had 107 kit that the dealer made claims it would be the high performance kit to end all high performance kits. He stated that it did run better but it just wasn't getting it. Jake doesnt remember how he found out about Hamel Power cuz at first he just heard of small shop outside Minneapolis that was getting big numbers using the stock Harley components. So he decided to bring his motorcycle out there. Pretty bold move considering he lives 4 hours away.Before doing anything to the motorcycle he talks to Jake about how he rides. Then he took a look inside the motor and made a couple suggestions about what he thought needed to be done to wake this motorcycle up. I just stopped in there to say hi on my way to the cities and he just happened to be tuning this bike.This is the sheet from the first Dyno pull. Some impressive numbers.
