The staff and volunteers are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They go to great lengths to pair you with an animal. It is a "No Kill" shelter and animal boarding resort.

Brought my dog for an overnight stay while we were at our cabin. I was so impressed with the extra blankets and treats waiting for her in her kennel, and the yards were really nice. They were accommodating to the fact that my dog doesn't do well with other dogs, and promised me she was well behaved. If I need to board her again while we're up, I gladly will! She was exhausted when she got home.

Paws and Claws took very good care of both of my dogs during my Thanksgiving trip. They took especially good care of my nearly 14 year old husky who has health issues. If you choose to board your dog(s) here, I can assure you your dogs will be in good hands.

This place is amazing. They have state of the art facilities. The staff is so caring. You can board your babies here and know their care will be excellent. If you need a fur baby they are knowledgeable about their adaptable pets and make sure they're healthy. They feed, exercise, groom, and love on them like family.

We got there and very clean and professional. Covid-19 reduced visitation in private room, but that's our new normal. Quick and thorough. Great experience! They were as excited as we were, they forgot the animals favorite toy, so they mailed it to us.

I can't say enough about how great the staff is here, I adopted my dog from here, they answered all my questions and were very through for the safety of the dog and who they were sending him home with. Hooch has been a great addition to our family, if you're looking to adopt a pet definitely talk to these folks!

I never really had a experience there but a friend did and some people were good to him but another threatened to keep his dog if it got catch again and with Huskys then tend to break away and run fast and far. Our animals are like our kids are so being threatened that is just hurtful.

The facility is currently closed to the public, except by appointment. But when I had the opportunity to go there, I was very impressed. Everyone I met was friendly, kind, and helpful. You could definitely tell they really care. The facility was extremely clean and seemed to be very well run. I would highly recommend them.

We were on our way to our cabin in Akely and we stopped in Leader to get ice cream as we always do. We continued on our way and we saw something wandering in the middle of the road, it ended up being a injured husky and no one stopped. They kept going around him. We stopped and managed to get him in our vehicle and the nearest rescue was this place and they were awesome. They took him in and accessed him and they were all so nice and helpful. We were so glad he was in good hands and they were almost closing by the time we got there and still happy to help the poor dog. Hoping he finds his owners or a forever new home.

A wonderful place to adopt. They have a great staff that explains the adoption process wonderfully and helps you find the right animal for your family. Even if you aren't looking to adopt they have grooming services and boarding also which I hear is competitively priced. The whole facility is very clean and it looks like even the shelter pets live in the lap of luxury while they are waiting for their families

A wonderfully designed place that is state of the art! The three wings (Boarding, Adoption, & Quarantine) are kept entirely seperate at hospital levels of safety. Each wing even has its own seperate HVAC system to assure clean air.I would highly recommended their services. A great place to house your pet for a while, or give them a bath and trim.The turn around on dogs in adoption is outstanding. They give dogs to loving families almost as quickly as they come in!However, they are currently overloaded with cats. So all you feline lovers should consider this a great place to find your new friend!
