They have a bit of everything, but you pay the price. If you are visiting, shop before you come or it will cost you. I'm not sure how the locals could afford shopping here regularly. They have anything you may need, and it is clean and organized. Friendly employees. We bought these brats for dinner, they were delicious and I would recommend them.

I feel so blessed there is a grocery store that is open late and has almost all of our favorite foods from cities. Our go to location when we come to the cabin. Thank you!

Great selection, great staff and this is the finest grocery store in the area. Sure, there are many ways to measure this, but beyond all else is the heart of a business, and this business has a true appreciation for its customers and community. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for how well they treated my parents in some difficult times. I can think of few businesses that operated so thoughtfully in the adversity that was the darkest days of the pandemic, and I will have a new benchmark for measuring greatness going forward. Great business, great people.

We like this store because it caters to campers, supplying small sizes of staples and other essentials needed for backpacking. There are also normal sizes for the city folk but a lot of campers and backpackers go through Grand Marais on the way to more remote locations.This year they were very careful about maintaining high levels of sanitization for Covid 19 which we appreciated. Only one shopper allowed in per household and every cart sanitized between uses.Update: masks are no longer required. Everything is back to normal.

A perfect grocery store in Grand Marais! We were visiting Lutsen and were able to get some food and snacks here. They had everything you might need. Also, if you are a star wars fan, make sure to check out the back of the store!!

We are staying close by for the week. Johnsons staff take very good care of us with there shopping and curb side delivery!! We were unaware of their policy changes during the pandemic. But are very pleased with how personal and efficient they are with getting all we need to enjoy our stay!!! Thank you to all at Johnson's

Johnson's is a great little grocery store with everything you could possibly need. My friends and I had a rather eclectic list. They had everything from the pour over coffee filters we needed, to the miscellaneous snacks, to the Thai chili seasoning we needed.The cashier's were very knowledgeable about where everything was and we're more than happy to help find what we needed.

They can only let 8 customers in the store at a time, but they're not that busy. I only had to wait a couple minutes for someone to come out so I could go in and shop. They're a little expensive, but that was expected in a tourist city. No big deal. Very nice employees.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Staff were extremely rude and acted like they didnt even want us there. We have 2 people but weren't allowed to both enter the store. These people are paranoid beyond belief. Definitely wont be coming back.

I saw the staff kick out a single mom with her 1yr old kid because they were only allowing, “1 person per group.” Super classy. I guess I’m glad I am not a single parent living in Grand Marais.

My favorite for produce sales, fresh bakery and protein. The butchers meat is always fresh, and cut perfectly. The home made sausage is delicious too!
