Instead of Starbucks, I wish I could get my cold brew from Java Moose every morning. But unfortunately, I was only a tourist in the area. The staff are more than friendly. My cold brew was exactly how I like it every morning. We had hot Turkey breakfast sandwiches and loved it. I highly recommend the sandwich. Their chocolate chip cookies were scrumptious 😋. The cozy cottage style decor was cool. I also bought a cup from them since I found it unique.

Went here twice during my stay, had a great experience both times.Had the Nordic miel and a raspberry white chocolate scone, and a maple latte the second time. Coffee is very nice. There are a few places to sit indoors and lots of outdoor seating. It can be very busy, but they serve you very quickly and efficiently despite the crowd.

Oh my! Most delicious coffee and breakfast sandwich on the north shore. Staff incredibly friendly and when I asked them for their opinion for coffee choices, they gave it without hesitation. My “salty” was insanely good. My husband had a breakfast sandwich which he raved about. Might have to drive all the way back there tomorrow… it was that good!

Was recommended to try this place out and glad I did! The BWCA lattes was fun and very tasty! I don’t normally like butterscotch but this was subtle. If I’m ever back in the area, this will be a must stop. Also close to the lake for a nice spot to drink :)

The best place in Grand Marais to grab a cup of coffee. -- ** Worth noting, they do not allow dogs indoors. Would hate for someone to wait in line just to turn back after seeing the sign on their door.I recommend getting there early as the line begins to form through the parking lot by late morning. Don't let it intimidate you, it moves quickly! The blonde gal at the register was super sweet and was genuinely happy we were in town for a wedding, making it a personable experience. The coffee was excellent and was enjoyed right next to Superior. I recall Java Moose selling their own bags of coffee if you want to bring some home.I highly recommend stopping in if you have a few extra minutes.

This coffee shop is always a must when we come in to town. It is a very popular destination and attracts a lot of business. The line tends to move quickly. Lots of menu and flavor options, there is something for everyone. There is a lot of public garbage cans in the area and in front of businesses so you don’t have to worry about walking around with a cup all day until you find one.Parking: There are a few parking spots, but most traffic is walk up from exploring the town.Wheelchair accessibility: The business is level with the ground, but there is a raised area inside. There is a ramp to access this. Chairs can be moved to the side to accommodate a wheelchair.

No gluten free breakfast options other than a trail bar, but gluten free beverages. Super long wait this morning, 25 minutes, but beautiful day to wait outside. Cute logo items like sweatshirts, tshirts, coffee beans and mugs. Variety of options for those of us who like the Starbucks and Caribou menu. Great location & view of lake is Spectacular. Indoor and outdoor options & they have a bonus pop-up shop by the lake just north of the shop.Dietary restrictions: Serve oatmilk as a dairy free alternative to dairy. Parking: Small parking lot adequate as lots of customers are walking. Kid-friendliness: Cute breakfast and drink options for kids

Love Grand Marais! Love coffee! How can you go wrong? This is the only local coffee shop in town, so the lines can be long in the morning during peak tourist season. Get yourself a hot latte to go and sit on the rocks and take in all the beauty that Lake Superior has to offer. It’s one of my favorite things to do in Minnesota.Kid-friendliness: They have books and puzzles for kids in the back room.

This is a great coffee shop in Grand Marais and the staff were very nice and helpful in getting me exactly what I wanted, even though it wants on the menu. I really appreciated their earnest effort!!!Its located right in the heart of downtown Grand Marais and they have a great patio for outdoor seating. Currently the inside is closed for seating as is the bathroom.

Fabulous roast, but lacking in the frothing. It was a pretty good latte, but far from what I would call my favorite. I happen to be over-the-top into espresso shots for a wonderful latte so I may be more critical than the average. It’s an OK latte in a really cool town with great ambienceThe merchandise is cool of course with the name.

A couple of weeks ago our fishing group stopped for lunch. Sandwiches and coffee were fresh made and fantastic. Not a fast food place that just wants to serve quick. Quality food with a group of super friendly young ladies making everything as ordered. We had the opportunity to meet and chat with Annie the owner. It was a chance to relax for lunch as we still had hours to go to our fly-in outpost. We were coming from SPAMtown USA. My buddies couldn't believe that a town of 1500 population could be busy with 10,000 tourists enjoying the North Shore and Lake Superior.Java Moose is a must stop for anyone traveling to or through Grand Marais to get that smell of fantastic fresh coffee.Mike Stark, cruise director of our fishing crew.

I came here 2 mornings while on vacation to do some computer work with internet and it was great. Cappuccino and lattes were delicious, and the breakfast sandwiches. It is a busy place and had to share table, but glad they had a small room separate from the main area. Most people seemed to order to go, but I worked for an hour and was welcomed and not rushed by staff even if they were busy.

A cute little place in Grand Marais. Very busy, but it was ok since we used the time in the line to pick out which drinks to order. They have so much options and our drinks came out so good. They have chairs inside and outside the store, and a wall full of merch that you can buy. Overall, a lovely cafe. Would come back again!

I love this place for morning coffee. It's my first weekend here and I can't get enough of the great choices at Java Moose. It's a local family owned coffee place. The inside is very cozy and comfortable. Smells like Christmas eve and the finest scents a nose can absorb. I got the Breve and my lady got a dirty chai. They make their own chai mix and the owners are usually working. Grab some coffee and maybe a pastry, muffin or cookie. Then go for a walk along the pier and coastline only 50 ft away. Thanks a bunch y'all. Love from Yugoslavia!

I've been to Java Moose over the years and enjoyed their Hospitality. This year was particularly hard for me to get up here at all, but I had a delivery for Sara and team of something that has been stolen from them earlier this year, A Pride Flag. Sara and staff are quite chatty, charming and delightful. It was a pleasure to meet Sara and follow her daily posts on Instagram. You should as well....
