We went on Saturday night which happened to be prime rib special night … you have to make a reservation for Saturday as they buy the prime rib roasts and bake them fresh for the evening… portions are extremely generous , baked potato is super fresh, and the cole slaw was delicious. As was the garlic toast…I wish I had snapped a picture of the prime rib dinner …service was good…if you want a drink at the bar they had beer but wine selections were sparse.. mixed drinks were not what we were used to but everything else made up for it..cozy, warm inviting atmosphere…try it , you will like it!

California burger and onion rings are great dad had cheeseburger and onion rings. Not drinking tonight but it looks like they got a selection. Everyone is having a good time they seem to know each other. Going bring my wife. Sunday is karaoke night.

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere! But the Saturday night prime rib dinners are worth the extra gas money to get out here. I'm telling you these guys do it right! You say well done it's well done. You say medium it's perfectly medium, or rare, or mooing they get it exactly how you like it. The food is ALWAYS perfect. The pops are bottled and the tap list is simple but the food and service keep me coming back. Don't forget to call Friday or early morning Saturday and reserve the prime rib dinner. If you do miss out then order the burgers or chicken strip basket with amazing french fries and it will cheer you up! Can't wait to get more of that prime rib!

Been coming to this place since I was a little boy and it's never been anything short of excellent. The locals and staff are really friendly and the food is great. They've got specials that rotate out daily, and a good dessert option.Easily in my Top 5 favorite country bar & grills!

Super fun place known for their Saturday Prime Rib which is very pricey but also very good..your call @ $30. Other food is so-so. Great place to have some drinks.

Great food, very accommodating. I called to see if they still had Prime Rib and said we wouldn't get there until 8:45 and asked if they would still be serving food. The gentlemen said sure we can do that. Waitress was attentive and pleasant.

Wednesday is burger night - burgers were good, tots were good. Service was pretty good, could have been better but they were fairly busy.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids' menu. I'd recommend going on burger night and get the kids a burger.

Great people & great service, Saturday night they have a prime rib special at Toad Lake, soooo good. With that said, whenever i go out for supper and prime rib is on the menu, I put the menu down and order it. I've tried alot of Prime and this is one of my favorites. Kick a** bloody Mary's aswell. 🍻

We had the Saturday special Prime Rib who would have thought a small place could have such a great prime rib. We will be going back. I understand Sunday special is a prime rib sandwich we might have to try that too

Toad Lake Store is a step back to an earlier day. A day of friendlier people and food made for people they know are their friends. The hamburgers are large and great. The beverages are cold. Their daily specials are huge, tasty, and priced reasonably. I will return!

My boyfriend and I ate there, not impressed. Upon leaving we experienced horrible indigestion and bloating, clearly from the food we immediately had to purchase pepto bismol perhaps the numerous flies contributed to it, among other things needless to say never again will we be going back there and won't be recommending it to anyone.

What I call "bar food". Fried, not healthy but delicious. Nice change of pace. Will be back to try prime rib on a Saturday night.
