Great small town with a hearty selection of wine & beer. They have a great selection for a bakery 🍞 🥐 , a deli sandwich 🥪 , and amazing 🍕. They have a bar in the liquor store and in their coffee shop

My mom is a vulnerable adult and the ladies in the deli follow her around the store and treat her rudely nearly every time she is there. Typically, it’s the black haired gal and another with long, orangish hair. Shame on you for treating people that way, especially someone with a disability!

When Palubickie's owned it the meat prices were on average the price they are now when Hugo's has a very good sale. The service is still excellent. The Bakery items also skyrocketed in cost. I know inflation is tied to the mark ups but our grocery bill has went up by 37% when sticking to the staples at this store. Because of this increase we decided to go to Walmart. The same or similar grocery staples the increase is 19% plus they shop for you. I really worry about the elder community or those on fixed incomes in Fosston that are indeed suffering do to the increase in groceries.The people that work at Hugo's are excellent. I just think as a large grocier being able to purchase in large quantities to divide amongst their many locations they could deliberately reduce some of their profits to pass the savings on to the Hugo's shopper.

Nice store that is well kept and has a wide a roof selection. They have a small deli, have a attached caribou coffee and also a small place to buy fresh flowers. Also have an attached liquor store. Staff is helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable

They have plenty of option and prices are no different than any other grocery store. The bagger doesn’t care and puts leaky meat packages with produce. Drops heavy items on delicate ones and tosses everything in the cart with no care at all. With the raise in cost for food, I would at least hope I can make it out of the store without half of my items crushed or contaminated with raw meat.

Fosston Hugos:I was concerned when Hugos took over Palubecki’s. As I loved the donuts and Stromboli that had been made there for years.I’m happy to say the food is the same great quality.

Bought a bottle of vodka there. When I got home I found that the seal had been broken and that half of the contents were replaced with water. I don't know what's going on there but don't buy alcohol from them.

I bought hamburger from hugos for my class party for the all school reunion & it was totally disgusting, smelled like fish & tasted like rotten fish! I will never buy meat from hugos again! Gross!!

The prices have doubled and they don't carry some things they used to. I really think they are taking advantage of the fact that there are no other grocery stores inour area.

Finally have a grocery store that doesn’t rob a person blind in town…for example…miracle whip $4 cheaper then what palubiki charged…and so many more examples…thank you Hugo’s!
