I go with my co-op class every 1.5 years. Its amazing there! I love the hike to Wolf Lake. The class experience is great and hands-on. Definitely for older kids though. Lodging was really nice and comfy. Recommend not going when everything is freezing though <3

Amazing place. Great views and learning experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Superior Hike was 3 miles and had spectacular views. The food was fantastic!! It’s all made by a local Volunteer fire fighter. Very nice kitchen staff.

My 10 year old is supposed to go there with his class next year & reading the reviews I don't think I'll be sending him.. They are to be gone 5 days. I can only imagine if staff is being rude to him that he'll want to leave but won't be able to. The food doesn't sound very good either. It's a lot of money to send your child to be disrespected, talked down to & not like the food. I think we will pass on this. Thank you everyone for all your reviews. You helped me on my decision.

I went recently for a school trip, and o gotta say it was fun. The food was absolutely TERRIBLE. And I did some things I didn't want to. But I did some things I would've never known how to do and things I didn't know I could do there. So GREAT trip, but fix the food!

The food was terrible, and when we got back from our trip we found out that our dorm had bedbugs and they absolutely trashed out stuff. Also had a breakdown while on a trip, and their response was to report me for poor behavior and send me home with a negative response. Would not recommend this place for anyone who desires a fun or enjoyable time.

I stayed here for an overnight field trip in the fifth grade and now I’m 32. It’s still one of my fondest memories. Schools in MN are better than any.

I have been coming here every summer since I was 4 and I love it. Yes, the food has been mediocre at times but it has improved immensely and I have never once gotten sick from it. I have yet to meet a staff member who has been mean or not cared about there job. I went to the day camps for as long as I could and they are some of my best memories. I look forward to coming here every summer and hope to keep coming back for many years.

AMAZING place! Great educators and beautiful scenery. I went there for a family camp this past summer and me and my family had so much fun. My child was already begging me to bring him back ON OUR FIRST NIGHT. All of the families are friendly and fun. Can't wait to return next year!

I went there as a student and then lucky enough to come back as a counselor. I can’t say enough about that whole environment.

I went here with my 5th grade class and had an absolute blast!! My Girl Scout troop also goes every year. I am a senior in high school now, this is my 5th year in a row going to wolf ridge (not counting COVID) the activities are always fun, the instructors are friendly and supportive, and the food is amazing! We always do the ropes course, rock climbing, and wilderness survival. It makes me so happy watching my younger troop members learn wilderness survival skills and gain confidence. Definitely an amazing experience, you should go if you have the chance!

I just spent 5 days with my daughter and we really enjoyed the experience. To all the other comments--yes the food sucks but it's camp. You just eat what they serve you. Stop worrying about the food and soak in the experience of where you are. Make the most of it and take your life into your own hands. Excited to go back with my other 2 kids!

I came here about 4-5 times with my school and a youth job program which was about 3-4 years ago. When I went there with my school I was in high school and I hated how they kept treating us teenagers like were little kids. I get that they want us to follow their rule but I just felt disrespected when I was being treated as a kid. When I came back again for my youth job they treated us more like adults than kids. The food and dorms is decent. The education that they provide there is well taught and the activities such as the rock climbing and ropes course is very fun.

It was a great place, and something was off there. Me and my friends are pretty sure wolf ridge is haunted. Lights shut off, bangs were heard all through the night, but other than that wolf ridge was great, the food was good, and it was so fun!!

Took my daughter and son years ago when they were in catholic school and volunteered a week there. It was super clean, the food was excellent, people were so nice and experienced. Every child should experience this wonderful adventure!

My daughter and class mates went to Wolfridge only to feel racially discriminated against. Kitchen staff were very rude. Staff was less then accommodating. I'm insurecis its was staff or a volunteer. Oddly no parent who had a crying student from the staffs behavior got a phone call.I would NOT recommend this camp. And if you dont believe me just send your child with a second phone so that they can actually tell you the truth about what's going on.Sound like alot if not ALL the staff needs to trained or let go. Maybe implement better plans in the event of incidents that may occur.

I worked here, I highly recommend this place to anyone even considering taking the trip! You wont find a more dynamic learning experience or a team that is passionate about preserving the beautiful lands they are located on.Two years later, I still look at the google maps satellite view to feel nostalgia.

Why only 3.5 stars I have no clue. Except for the mosquitoes and rain my ( I think? ) Week long camp was incredibly fun. I even learned things lol. That was almost 25 years ago. Beautiful location, the sky " obstacle" course over looking superior was a thrill to say the least. Great memories

First, kids and adults did have fun and great learning experience..food is horrible so bring water, food and extra clothing (jackets break zippers-boots crack-stuff gets lost) Its great Food staff try to be healthy, but you can be healthy, edible and have hot food. Also, naturalist need to trust parents when kids are frost bitten in the cold and clothing (feet and hands) are wet and need to go in! Running and jumping up and down do not dry wet clothing.

We did so many fun things, like hiking, snowshoeing, and rock climbing. It was extremely cold but we still did everything!

Currently under staffed and under trained. My son fell off the ropes course and was dangling in the air for an hour before help arrived.

Very disapppointed! Food was miserable and un-eatable! My son was sick the 1st night. They called me that night to say he was puking and if he was still sick in the morning I would have to drive up there to get him. I asked to speak to him and they said "No".They said they would call in the morning to let me know how he was doing. No call....No call....I finally called in to work figuring I would have to make the 3 hour trip up to get him. After many calls to them, their response was " Do u want us to check on him?" Yeah, you have a sick kid.....someone should check on him. Then I waited for about 30 minutes before there response to me was " I don't see him anywhere so I guess he must be okay" Really......that's how they take care of sick kid. By the next day I was told by a chaperone that 7 kids were puking sick. I believe it was from the nasty cold food. Did I mention it was 50 below zero wind chill the days they were there. 😣

wolf ridge is a great place to make friends and one of the best learning centers i've ever been to. I learned how to use a compass, build a boat, and Canoe here. One year I went to the border waters with wolf ridge, and it is an adventure I will never forget.

I guess it’s a hit or a miss depending when you go. I had a blast there when I was 11 and my cousin who went a year later said it was really horrible with bed bugs and her friends got sick.

Went with a school trip. Food was terrible. Snowed every day but not heavy so it was still fun. There was almost 6-7 feet of snow

Year after year, Wolf Ridge is an incredible learning and bonding experience for our 6th graders. Great classes, experiences, staff, food, and you won't find a better location for environmental learning..
