This place was a life saver!!! After car camping ended up in a swarm of mosquitos I went searching for a room in the middle of the night. Luckily these guys answered and they happened to have one room available. They graciously prepared the room for me in less than 20 minutes and I was good to go! Very clean! Great necessary appliances (microwave, fridge, coffeemaker ). Bed was super squishy and cozy. Incredible AC. Everything looked new and clean. I highly recommend and will plan ahead next time with this place on my mind. Thanks guys for helping me out in the middle of the night!Rooms: Clean and cozy

Huge parking lot and very, very nice modern rooms. Really liked the abundance of plugins.Nearby activities: Right next to the Snowmobile trail.Walkability: Nice bar/restaurant right across the road.

A friend and I came up from Wisconsin for the weekend to do some recon on the SHT for the Superior 100. This place was fantastic. It was exactly what I want from a motel stay. It was quiet and tucked away off the road, surrounded by forest. There was a nice fire pit with chairs off to the side. I don't enjoy sharing a room with another person but for such a short stay, it seemed practical. Fortunately, the room is shaped like an L with each bed having a modicum of privacy but still maintaining an open floor plan. I really appreciated the rustic décor. The water comes from the planet so that was a bonus. I shall say though, if noisy hallways and busy parking lots across from convenient stores and restaurants with humans everywhere is your thing, this isn't your place. This peaceful, quiet little gem in the woods near the Superior Hiking Trail will be my go-to every time I come visit. Oh, and there is a badass supper club nearby. Thanks for the stay fellas.

We had such a great time helping at the lodge. Daleena is awesome the place is so comfortable and clean. The prices are so affordable. Ice and firewood is already there. And it has a really nice outdoor fire pit. Kid friendly, pet friendly. Couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks Daleena for letting us be part of your adventure. We know you will do great things. And be a blessing to the community.

Super clean. Yup, immaculately cleaned which is the most important aspect of laying your head down. Great to be across the road from the supper club. Stayed with my wife a couple weeks ago. Heading back with my kid to ATV soon. Owner could not be more accommodating. Absolutely silent at night while we were there.Back here again for our ATV trip. Room2.Cozy but super clean as last time.So why spend $179 down on the lake when we rode the trails right from the lot.Good dinner across the road and a great breakfast about 1/4 mile away.Quiet, safe and clean.

We were here for 3 nights in mid September of 2019. The new owners just took it over 3 weeks earlier. They are very friendly and work hard to make your visit enjoyable. The room was smaller, 2 beds, refrigerator, microwave, and clean. We were there for a weekend of ATV trail riding and this place is perfectly located for it. Trail access was less than 200 feet from the hotel. The parking lot is very large and open - lots of room for your truck and trailer.If you are looking for a place with pools, hot tubs, and fancy restaurants, this is not it. If you are looking for a place to explore the north shore, go hunting, fishing, or 4 wheeling, this place is perfect. We look forward to coming back.

By far one of the best stays I have had in a motel. The rates are more than fair and it’s very quiet, very clean and some of the best people I have ever met. It’s a mother and daughter both are very delightful people. It is attached to a bait shop with plenty of snacks and drinks for sale. When you wake up there is a pot of coffee brewing in the store with actual coffee mugs to sit and enjoy your morning brew. It’s directly across the street from a nice restaurant. Just a short walk. I will try to stay here anytime I’m in the area. Very small town down home feel. If you look up Minnesota nice it’s just the address to this place. I would give it it more stars if available. It’s hard to find this kind of hospitality anymore.

Stopped here for bait on the way to crooked lake. The bait we got lasted 4 days which is awesome. They were super nice and helped us with tips to get on some fish.EDIT: Been back a couple times now and they are as good as ever. Definitely worth stopping in when you're on the way up to the national forest.

We read an article that motels are a pandemic friendly accommodations, so we made plans to try out Maple Grove Bait and Tackle for a Thanksgiving get away. We were amazed by how clean, spacious, and comfortable our room was. The owners offered us a contact free check in and great wi-fi. The location is fabulous!...we will return pandemic or not!

This place is like staying at moms/grandmas house!! Its cozy and tucked away in a wooded area so no tourist crazyness. The night sky is absolutely worth it on it own. But the staff is a plus. Super friendly and nice ! And they have done an amazing job at renivating the place. Also there is a bar/restaurant across the street and a small down that you can walk too. Honestly I dont want to right a review to keep it a secret but this place is to amazing not too !
